Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Aloe Lip Treatment
rated 2 of 5

So I went to the Body Shop looking around and I went and purchase this and two other minis to try out. I decided to try Body Shop's lip balms again but with a different range than the other ones. This balm, I don't hate it as the other ones but I don't really like it either. It keeps my lips moisturized which it is a good thing but it is an unsettling feeling on my lips. It feels thick and it doesn't feel like it absorbs into my lips but sits on top of it until you eat or drink it wears off. It isn't the most terrible balm from the Body Shop, but at the same time, it doesn't wow me either.

Toners -The Body Shop - Seaweed Clarifying Toner
rated 3 of 5

This is my first Body Shop item that I bought for their line after much decision since my Garnier toner has finally ran out. I've purchased this because this was made specifically for my skin type obviously. I like this better than what I am rating it as (if there is ever a decimal system, that would be lovely) because it does claim what most it has done for my skin. Key word, most. This product is said to be "an alcohol-free, refreshing and purifying toner. Instantly and effectively conditions, purifies and refreshes the skin, removing traces of make-up and cleanser." First off, I like that it is alcohol free, and I do think it helps with my pores looking smaller and my overall skin surface in terms of the feel. I have noticed a huge difference when I used this toner with the rest of my skin care products. My skin just feels so much smoother but in terms of appearance wise I think it will take a little bit longer to see results. However, I do not think this helps with reducing oil or maintaining them. It seems my t-zone area still shine but not a grease ball bad. Though for the price, how much ounces you are getting, and how effective this is, I will not be repurchasing this.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - 080 Strawberry Shortcake
rated 3 of 5
timeless54 4/29/2012 3:32:00 PM

I have purchase a ton of the Revlon lip butters after hearing so much reviews on youtube and makeup blogs. For this colour, it looks so nice in the tube but when I applied it, it looks so bad for my skin tone. It appears as a pink with cooler undertones on my pigmented lips. It just looks very unflattering on me and I won't be purchasing this colour.

Treatments -L'Oreal - Everpure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque
rated 4 of 5

First off, my hair isn't dyed so the target hair is completely out of the question. However this product makes my hair feels so soft after a shower and I gotten complements from my friends on my hair whenever I took a shower before going out to meet them. I got it for free in a gift set a couple of years ago and I am still not done. I didn't like the shampoo that much that came with it but this is really nice for my hair. You only need a tiny amount, which I focus on my ends then the rest of my hair away from my scalp. The packaging is a small tub, I don't really like it but I don't mind it when the product is really effective. I hope this doesn't discontinue. I would really be sad if it does.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic Explosion Waterproof
rated 3 of 5
timeless54 3/8/2012 7:26:00 PM

I have very mix thoughts on this mascara and I really cannot understand why. First off, I got it at the L'Oreal warehouse sale so I don't know the actually price for it. I got it because of the unique brush. I will say, you need to coat a lot to get a decent amount but it isn't a pain like Covergirl's Lash Blast to remove. This does separate my lashes to make it a little bit more fuller. However after a few hours, this left smudges over my eyes, not a lot like Maybelline's Lash Stiletto but it did emphasis my dark circles. I guess overall, it does what it claims to do, besides the smudge proof bit which I am still iffy about. It's a decent mascara but it isn't something I am overly impressed by. EDIT: So after a few more trial, I do find this really nice on the upper lashes and not on my lower ones so it doesn't smudge as much.

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - Ultra SPF 30
rated 3 of 5
timeless54 1/11/2012 2:04:00 PM

I have gotten this at my local Dollarama with other lipbalms so now I am backlogged on so many I won't be buying another lipbalm anytime soon. Oh boy, this chapstick. For one thing, having SPF 30 for such a small price is amazing on its own. The packaging quality is like any other chapstick, though it took me a while to unravel the packaging so I could actually use it and I ripped the label off along with it. But after finishing my softlips and going onto this product, I started to miss the skinny application that softlips provided. This definitely softens my lips in Canada's winter but this is where it got deducts marks. The smell and the taste. It smells like lemon citrus, which isn't so bad but the first few times I have used this, when ever I lick my lips, the taste of the product is so revolting like rotten citrus. It's only after a couple of use that I was able to tolerate the taste but during the first few times, I wanted to just throw this product out. Please Chapstick, change or remove the fragrance, your products are amazing but this product I just couldn't love.

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Lash Boosting Serum
rated 4 of 5
timeless54 1/11/2012 1:42:00 PM

I have suffered the genetic genes of Asian straight short lashes so I thought I give this product a try after seeing reviews on how amazing it is. The price was what stopped me from buying this until my friend took me to the L'Oreal warehouse sale and I got this for the price of I believe $6? After a few days, I noticed some improvements of using this and I really have a fond for this product now. Apparently it isn't much of a lengthen as much as a conditioner? I cannot really say with my limited knowledge in the cosmetic industry but I really did noticed improvements in my lashes. They have definitely lengthened and look a little more fuller. I say it's build-able to a certain point where you see white small balls on your lashes but I like the fact you can use your mascara after the product has dried. The packaging, I both love it in terms of design but dislike it in terms of being functional. It looks like a vial with the little marks indicating like its a real formula. But at the same time, it doesn't stand up on its own, but I think there is a stopper so you could place this on the counter without worrying if the product is going to spill. Overall, I quite like this product but not the price. I really don't want this to be discontinued. Hope to pick up another at the next L'Oreal warehouse sale.

Lip Treatments -SoftLips - Ravishing Raspberry SPF 20
rated 2 of 5
timeless54 11/2/2011 12:05:00 AM

So I have bought Softlips due to the hype I have heard over these. I like the packaging, it's very cute however the label wears off. I honestly got commented by my workers thinking I was smoking, seriously. I like how it has SPF 20, its perfect for the summer since my lips aren't that chapped unlike in Canada's winter, this is where I judge my lip balms. This cannot last in Canada's winter at all, my lips would still be chapped after this disappears a while. Price is okay since you get two in one packaging (though sometimes it's only one for the same price) and it gives a lot of product. I usually finish my chapsticks in about 2 months but this last me more than that for just one which its insane. If this was on sale, I guess I would buy it again but I don't really see anything astounding about this lip balm.

Toners -Garnier - Fresh Toner
rated 3 of 5
timeless54 7/9/2011 9:33:00 PM

After hearing from this site about how amazing this product was, I decided to buy it for my first toner. To straight to the point, I don't think it did anything to me. Take that in a good and maybe a bad way. It didn't break me out but I didn't see any improvement towards my skin when I used this toner. The packaging is nice that it shows how much product you have left. I like the fact it has no alcohol in it and it smells nice, and subtle.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto - Waterproof
rated 2 of 5
timeless54 2/19/2011 6:55:00 PM

I have gotten this product because I like the resemblance it has with a heel. This is my second mascara that I have bought and I am sorry to say I won't be able to buy this again. The product is okay. It isn't horrible, the brush is nice but the formula I question. I specifically bought waterproof mascaras because I tend to yawn and when I yawn, it would cause tears to come out so I rub my eyes. This mascara smudges and makes me look like I have raccoon eyes. Even if I didn't yawn, for some reason I find fall outs or smudges around the outer corner underneath my eyes after a few hours. Application wise, it doesn't clump unless you overdo it. It does lengthen my lashes more visibly and make my eyes more define but unless they fix the formula and actually make it waterproof, I cannot buy this again.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites- Vanilla Swirl
rated 2 of 5
timeless54 11/7/2010 11:29:00 AM

I gotten this lip gloss because I heard it was a dupe of NARS Turkish Delight. Maybe there is something wrong with mine as I see other reviews say it is an awesome lip gloss. I do not like this product as well. It has a tad thick consistency and it is pigmented but it just doesn't look nice on me. As in...it looks opaque on my lips, making it look whiter and really unnatural (it's like I feel I just given a guy...something and yea). The smell is nice but when you have a ton of product, it will be getting overwhelming. I guess a nice thing about this is you just need a bit to put a good amount on your lips, just one application is enough, so with that much product, you would stay with this lip gloss for a long while. It drys my lips just a bit so I have to use a lip balm beneath the product. I would not get this lip gloss again but it isn't the most horrible one I have gotten.

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler
rated 2 of 5
timeless54 11/7/2010 11:20:00 AM

So this happens to be my first eyelash curler and I found it okay. Not the best but definitely isn't horrible. My main concern is definitely, it doesn't fit my eye shape. I say it's more suited to the wider looking eyes since my eyes are narrow and monolid (you know, typical Asian feature). In certain ways, I wouldn't get all of my lashes and other times it does but it pinches my lid a bit. I am worried when I do get all of my lashes, it usually pushes against the lids and it might harm the elasticity. It is very cheap, as all E.L.F. products are and it does come with a replaceable pad but I can't get this eyelash curler again.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Nutra Nail Green Tea Nail Strengthener
rated 3 of 5
timeless54 10/24/2010 3:55:00 PM

If only the system has a maybe option. So far, it's a 3s means I am basically neutral on this product or I cannot recall such as the pricing. I have this for 2-3 years now and I only gotten about 1/4 so like any standard nail polish bottle, you get a lot of the product. I do about 2 coats on my nails. I had semi weak nails except on my two pointed fingers, so they were strong and longer but the others kept on chipping that it drove me mad. So I bought this because of the green tea part. The results, I can definitely say, it did improve on the strength of my nails by far but the process is slow (at least, for the way I noticed) though I didn't mind it much. My nails still chip but I happen to be doing a lot of work involving my hands but it isn't as much as before. They definitely are longer and it's affordable at Wal-Mart. I might repurchase this again but I don't think anytime soon since it might take me years before I can finish this bottle.

Cleansers -Garnier - Clean Sensitive - Anti Tightness Cleansing Milk
rated 3 of 5
timeless54 10/14/2010 7:51:00 PM

This is my first cleanser so I cannot give much opinions on this product from my experiences but I am pretty okay with this. This doesn't break me out, it's really gentle and it doesn't have a heavy fragrance that the usual Garnier products have. I don't use a lot of make up but I use it to clean the dirt and germs etc before I go to bed follow by my moisturizer. It helps to control my blackheads, not too well but definitely an improvement. Definitely a really decent product as far as I know and I might repurchase this.

Eyeliner -Bonne Bell - Eye definer
rated 1 of 5
timeless54 10/6/2010 6:25:00 PM

I have gotten this eyeliner pencil as a birthday gift (with many others) so this is my first eyeliner pencil I have ever gotten. It's okay, I only use it to tight line my upper eyelids because I have monolids and I didn't want to make my eyes so narrow as they already are. Mine is in Black Denim so it has a slight pigments of blue. The packaging is nice, it has a case so if you want to bring this pencil wherever you go, you don't have to worry about it smearing in your bag. But I am not really all that impress with this pencil. It smears, after a couple of hours. I notice my eyes starting to look a bit raccoony not even half way through the day and I had to wash it off so the area around my eyes would look brighter. Also, when I sharpen it, it tends to break that I had to keep on sharpening and loosing more product. It's okay but I think I could find a better eyeliner.
