Fragrances -Viktor & Rolf - Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

One word: Delicious. To me this is not a floral fragrance. It's a mixture of vanilla, caramel and amber. It is a very sophisticated smell that just jives right with my chemistry. It's intoxicating. If you want to feel sexy and lustrous I highly recommend this scent! To me this scent makes me feel the way I do when I wear Lolita Lempicka. Note: If you want to layer this with something, I highly suggest Bath and Body's Sensual Amber. It will accentuate the amber note in Flowerbomb and extend its lasting power.
This smells very similar to Hypnotic Poison. If you are a fan of that scent I would strongly recommend this one...or not, since you may not want two scents that are so similar. If you see my earlier reviews of HP you'll see that I'm not a fan of smelling like Play-Doh and this smells distinctly of Play-Doh. Sorry, this was a huge miss for me.
Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - Sicily eau de parfum

Someone mentioned that this scent was "soapy" and I would agree. To me it smells like Dove bar soap mixed with alcohol. I wouldn't necessarily want to smell like this all day and find that this scent is very unsophisticated mixed with my chemistry. Off to find another HG!
This scent is very girly. It reminds me of barbie dolls and cotton candy. To me it's very sweet gourmandy, like something you would smell if you were cooking cupcakes all day and ended up sitting in a vat of frosting. While not unpleasant, it is a very simple scent with just one note - sweet. I wouldn't buy this again, unless it was as a gift for my teenage niece.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Night Cream

I have clear skin with no wrinkles. However, I have some freckles that have appeared on my face due to overzealous sunbathing during my college years. I wanted to try this product in hopes of dulling the appearance of the freckles on my cheeks. Pros: Non-Greasy. Most night time creams are heavy and clog your pores while you sleep. This moisturizer goes on smooth, instantly absorbs into the skin and allows you to wake up grease free. 2) fragrant free. I was really surprised by the reviews that mentioned the "foul" smell of this product. I must be using the improved version because my cream is scent free 3) You know that feeling you get right after you exfoliate your face? The freshly scrubbed super soft feel? The slight rosy-ness you get in your cheeks? Well, this product makes your face look and feel like that everytime you wake up. A definite plus. Cons: After using this product for one week I started noticing a little sensitivity in the area right beneath my eyes. Visually I can't see anything but it feels like sunburn...or windburn. It stings a little. I think this is the "irritation" that others are mentioning. Since nothing is appearing I'll keep applying it to the same area and see if things changes. I love this product so far! NOTE: This is intended for night time use. If you do use it during the day (especially in the summer) make sure you wear sunscreen. I believe the ingredients in this product may exacerbate sunburn so if you go out with it on without SPF you will burn!
Three things. 1) I normally don't do the light "floral" scents because they tend to smell too generic or have some added citrus note to it that turns my nose. 2) When I first sprayed fcuk the first thing I smelled was alcohol. My wrist smelled like I took a bottle of rubbing alcohol and poured the whole bottle on myself and 3) I am glad I was patient because the drydown on fcuk is very pleasant and surprisingly good! This scent reminds me a LOT of Arden's "SunFlowers" perfume. It must be the jasmine and sandalwood. This would make a wonderful summer fragrance. If you like DG Light Blue you would like this scent. FB worthy, in my opinion.
When I sprayed this scent on a scent strip I was bewitched. It smelled warm and yummy. Then I sprayed this on myself...and instantly thought of Dior Hypnotic Poison. Which meant I ran to the bathroom and started scrubbing my wrist as though I had just sprayed acid from a bottle. Similiar to HP, this scent had an aethestic note to it that was not agreable with my skin. With HP, it was Play-doh. Trouble smelled like straight rootbeer on my skin. I tried to love it but it simply wasn't for me.
Fragrances -Lolita Lempicka - L de Lolita Lempicka

The original Lolita is my HG fragrance. I love it's sensual sweetness and fairy tale quality. So thinking L de Lolita would have the same qualities, I went ahead and tried it. And thanked my lucky stars I only purchased a deluxe sample. On me, L de Lolita is cloyiny and sickenly sweet. It smells strongly of patchuli which gives me an instant headache. I can def. detect the "salty" tones of the scent and thinks it adds a unique quality to L. Overall I find L de Lolita to be too one tone for me - and that tone is incense/patchuli. I was really hoping L de Lolita would have the multi-dimensional beauty of Lolita. Alas, this scent is not FB worthy for me. UPDATE 11/10: Not sure if my body chemistry has changed, but I have grown to really appreciate this complex scent. It's no longer sickenly sweet on me and I do enjoy wearing it!
Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)

I love this serum because it is non-greasy and really penetrates the skin. I have normal/oily skin tone and this works perfectly either under my makeup during the day or as a light lotion during the summer. I love how smooth my skin feels the next day.
This is a flirty and flighty scent to me. I say flighty because I don't feel it has very complex layers. It is a little generic in the sense that it smells so much like the other perfumes you smell out there and I wouldn't be able to distinctly recognize it if there was a smell test with other similiar scents. Overall a non-offense if unexciting fragrance.
I bought a mini EDP of this because I was intrigued by the reviews on MU. The scent is very light and pleasant to me. My chemistry draws out the white florals with no incense pulls at all. Actually, the scent absorbs into my skin to almost smell powdery. This would make a nice light summer scent. This reminds me of someone sunbathing in a white bathing suit with a crisp white hat and a drinking a pink Cosmo. Unfortunately this scent makes my husband image the woman as a 90 year old. To him, this scent smells like "old lady-ish".
I tend to be drawn to more sensual, intoxicating and unique scents. My chemistry does not react well to citrusy light scents like DG Light Blue. Other overly sweet and floral scents like Tresor give me a headache. So when I read from some reviewers that this was a beachy citrusy scent I was a little put off. I'm glad that I gave it a try though because citrusy this scent is not! On me, it smells very spicy (in a good way) and warm. The amber and sandalwood are highlighted on my skin and I feel very sophisticated when I wear this scent. The only downside is the dry down on this fagrance isn't as impressive as the first hour it's on. It becomes peppery after it dries down.
Cleansers -Olay - Definity Illuminating Cream Cleanser
tierneypham 12/30/2009 5:53:00 PM
I received this as a stocking stuffer so thankfully I didn't shell money out for this product. Here are my grievances 1) The bottle opening sits on the bottom and is exposed. You turn it to "open" the hole and turn it again to "close" the hole. Problem is, think about how unsanitary it is every time you set it down on the bathroom counter or the tub. Ewwww. 2) Even after I rinse my face in hot water for ten minutes straight the product leaves a greasy residue behind like I just washed my face with lotion. Major no go.
The bottle itself is a bit of a dismaying. For the price you pay for HP you would think CD could do better than a cheap plastic red bottle. That aside, I sprayed my first spritz an waited to be amazed. The only thing amazing was how quickly I could de-robe and get in the shower to wash away the rootbeer PLAY-DO smell off of my skin. I'm sorry, this was a huge miss for me.
This scent falls short in regards to providing a complex scent. On the skin it has two notes - a lemony citrus and your basic floral scent. I was quite disappointed because I love most of Chanel's fragrances. This was just too simple and one dimensional to me.
