Lips -Giorgio Armani - Lip Maestro Intense Velvet Color

I'm so disappointed in this one! I had a friend buy it for me in the States because I was reading all these raves reviews, but now I'm sorry I spent the $$$. The color is gorgeous (I have the 400), and it's true, it doesn't dry out your lips. But it's slippery, it smears really easily, and comes off on everything, so much more than a lipstick or a gloss does. Worst of all: it creeps into the little lines of your mouth which I HATE. Not for me, unfortunately. I'm sticking to YSL's Glossy Stain.

Lip Gloss -Laura Mercier - Tempting Coral Lip Shine

I got this this week as a freebie. Normally I wouldn't have picked this color myself, I'm more into cool pinks. But I was pleasantly surprised by it, it's very flattering. It's more rosy than coral, a subtle color, and I love how it feels on my lips, not sticky and more like a balm than a gloss. It has a nice, natural shine to it. Every time I've worn it this week, people have remarked on how great I'm looking. Will definitely purchase again, and maybe try out some other colors.

Liquid -Chanel - Perfection Lumiere

I'm surprised at all the negative comments about this one. I always thought Pro Lumiere was too cakey, and it was too dark for me, and now at least I'm finally able to buy a number 10 shade in this foundation (as in the Vitalumiere Aqua) -- 20 is always too dark for me, unless it's high summer. I'm having no problems blending it in (don't forget to shake the bottle first), though I usually don't wait until all of my moisturizer has sunk in, so this may help. I love the fact that I don't get a shiny T zone ALL DAY, I even forget to powder (and I am usually an oil slick after 2 hours, despite my dry and sensitive skin, my T zone is horrendous). It feels good on, smooth, and doesn't seem to transfer much. I do miss the dewy sheen of the Vitalumiere Aqua, but I like that this one has more coverage, which I definitely need now it's getting colder. I wonder how it will keep up during the winter, if it's not too drying. But so far so good. So hopefully I can keep the VA for summer, and this one for the other seasons. While waiting for PL, I tried a dozen samples from other brands, like Diorskin Forever, all the Laura Merciers, all the MACs (let's say I was a daily reader of the reviews here), and I liked none of them well enough, or got the color right. Chanel makes the best foundations, IMO, and while I'm not 100% behind this one yet (I have been using it for a week), I'm pleased enough. Lastly, the bottle is nicely developed, with a pump, but a bit heavy compared to the VA (I like that that one is so light you can just toss it in your bag). UPDATE I've come back to add an extra lippie. I'm very happy with this foundation - the color (10 Beige) is perfect, the staying power is great, it photographs well, it's not drying now that the weather is so much colder. I've bought the Chanel foundation brush too, and it blends beautifully with it, with buildable coverage (I don't even use undereye concealer anymore). If I want it to 'glow' more, I use Laura Mercier Radiance Primer underneath. Will definitely buy again.
