Foundations -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall Cream Foundation
thekyayu 3/21/2013 6:27:00 PM
I bought this foundation for $3.67 canadian at Walmart. I picked up the color 817 Light. I find the colors seem a lot darker than what they really are in the tubes. It's a plastic squeeze tube which is good for traveling. The only downside is that the tube's hole is pretty large so you really need to be careful when you squeeze out products because it spills easily. I find that the color match isn't all too great. I find that it comes off more pink on me, which I've never had a problem with foundation doing before. I love how this feels on my skin. It isn't heavy and it's great for my dry skin. To apply I dot it all around my face and use my ELF powder brush to blend it out. I sometimes have an oily nose but with this stuff it stays matte all day which is a bonus! This claims to be a full coverage foundation which I kind of beg to differ. I would say this is more medium coverage, but I don't have many acne scars and this foundation covers them well. I will repurchase this again because I really like how it matte it makes my skin and for the price you can't go wrong.

Treatments -It's a 10 - Miracle Leave in Product
thekyayu 2/28/2013 11:40:00 AM
Wow! I've finally gotten the courage to splurge and get this product and I am SO happy I did. This was $20 cdn at First Choice Haircutters. I have been reading review upon review on this and I kept looking around at Shoppers Drugmart but I could not find it. This has been a dream come true to my hair. I have dry ends but oily scalp. I have medium length hair and currently trying to grow it out. I have to wash my hair everyday because of how oily my scalp is. But by washing my hair everyday my ends have been taking a beating and have gotten super dry. But this is indeed a miracle product. I have been using this everyday for the past three weeks and I am so happy, and so is my hair. My hair is wavy and it tangles super easily but with this stuff, it's really manageable. I really like that when I take a shower I can still feel some of product is in my hair so i know it doesn't disappear on my pillow or clothes during the day/night. For $20 I would definitely repurchase. My hair feels soft and looks super shiny again.

Pressed Powders -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall
thekyayu 2/28/2013 11:33:00 AM
I bought this for $3.67 cdn at walmart. I got the color Light, the same color as the foundation. I actually like the packaging because it isn't as big as the Revlon pressed powder. This doesn't have too much coverage which kind of bothers me because sometimes I like to just use a powder when I don't feel like putting anything heavy on my face. Other than that I would definitely repurchase. This makes my face matte, which I love. I don't have really oily skin but on some days I can get a little shiny on my nose and chin. But when I have this product on it keeps the oiliness at bay.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - The Real Teal #39
thekyayu 2/18/2013 1:17:00 PM
I bought this last summer based on crystalis07 recommendation and I am super happy I bought this! I've never been one to wear teal colors but this is absolutely gorgeous! It's perfect for the summer season. I got this for 4$ cdn at walmart and would definitely repurchase. It's very opaque so two coats is plenty. Highly recommend!

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush in Luminoso
thekyayu 2/18/2013 1:11:00 PM
I finally found this at the drugstore for 7$ cdn in Halifax. I am not too impressed over this blush. I love how it swipes but I don't like how it looks on my cheeks over time. I like when I initially put it on but after 2 or so hours this is gone. I wish this would stay on my cheeks longer but there is not much I can do. Its a peachy color with a hint of shimmer. The packaging is a round golden packaging with a bottom compartment. I hate that when you open it up the blush part is not attached to the packaging so it swings open and the brush falls out. I like that this is difficult to open because I travel a lot and I know this won't go flying around. I wish I could repurchase this but I'm sure I'll never finish up this blush because it's a lot of blush.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Virtual Violet
thekyayu 2/18/2013 1:02:00 PM
I really like this color. I have never came across this type of purple color before. I like the reflective blue it gives off. The reason I gave this a 4 is because I have to put on three coats until my nail is completely covered, and even then I can still see my nail peeking through which kind of bothers me but I can live with. I also wish that the brush was more like the Instadry brush but there's not much I can do about that. I find it can be a bit streaky but you gotta work with the product. My nails do chip pretty quickly but with this polish they can last a good three days before they chip.

Bronzers -E.L.F. - Baked Bronzer-ALL
thekyayu 1/16/2013 11:22:00 AM
I bought this in st-Lucia a few months ago and to be honest I don't use this as often as I would have hoped. The color pigmentation is somewhat lacking. When I swipe my finger over it nothing really shows up. And when I try to apply this on my face it requires a lot of layering. However, when it does finally show up on my skin I love how I look. I find this gives my skin a great glow, perfect for summer time. I also really like the packaging. A lot of people said that it felt flimsy and that it would break but to me it feels sturdy. It's also travel friendly which is a big bonus for me. I would repurchase this again because I love the eventual look this gives me but I hate that I have to constantly layer it on before I see any results, and I am a very pale person. For 3$ I think this is a good deal

Concealers -E.L.F. - Studio Maximum Coverage Concealer
thekyayu 1/16/2013 11:16:00 AM
I got this in December and I've been using it quite often during the last week because I've been working early mornings and not sleeping well and I wanted to see how this covers my undereye circles. I must say this works really well to hide the darkness under the eyes. However if I use it around my nose and mouth it gets flaky and dry which is a big no no. So I mostly use this for just under my eyes but I wish it was more versatile. I hate having to use two types of concealers for my face. It comes in a squeeze tube which is ok. Though I do wish it was a dough foot applicator but I can deal without. The price is very reasonable about 3$ cdn. This isn't maximum coverage like it claims but it does its job which is good enough for me. I would repurchase because it works wonders for my under eye area.

Polishes -Maybelline - Color Show - All
thekyayu 9/21/2012 7:03:00 PM
I got two of these a few days ago at Walmart for 2.89$ cdn. I am SO shocked by all of these negative reviews. I have been wearing the color clear 440 which is actually not a clear color but a black/brown with gold shimmer in it. I absolutely LOVE this! I don't have ANY of the problems most of girls say they do with it being watery and crazy chipping. I've been wearing this for four days and only my index on my right hand has a bit of a chip, which is completely normal for nail polish to do. I thought for sure this would have chipped like crazy by the end of the first day but nope. The application was a bit of a hassle but I always give myself at least 1-3 hours to REALLY let the polish dry. I used a base coat and top coat as always. When I put the first coat on it was very sheer and streaky. When I put on the second I almost wanted to finish there because it looked alright but there was still some spots that weren't fully covered. After the third coat I got exactly the color I expected to get. This is my first black color and I am so impressed with this! I seriously think I've found my HG black color because its not totally black, it has a tiny hint of brown to it which is great. Also I LOVE the golden shimmer in it. I've never been a sparkle type of girl and this gives me enough shimmer that this doesn't feel like a typical black color. I'm very happy to say I would highly recommend this to a friend and I would repurchase. I find this to stay on my mails longer than my Sally Hansen Xtreme Nails! Just have a bit of patience and let the color fully dry in between coats. Whenever I do my nails I ALWAYS do three coats because of how easily my nails chip. So this wasn't s big deal. I will write an update once I try the next color I have. By the way this is from the metallics collection.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Charm
thekyayu 9/17/2012 2:57:00 PM
Unfortunately I will not be repurchasing this product. This was the second lip stain that I bought and I regret buying it. The color does not show up on my lips and when I put it on its extra creamy so you can see the product settling into my lines and it really accentuates any dry skin I may have on my lips. The other two that I have are Honey and Romantic and they are amazing! They have great pigmentation and really stain my lips. I was really looking forward to this is one because I've been searching for a perfect nude color and I still have not found it.

Brows -Maybelline - Define-A-Brow
thekyayu 9/17/2012 2:47:00 PM
I've had this product for about 2 months now and I still have quite a bit left. I had black eyebrows so I use the darkest color which is called Dark Brown. This color is alright for me but I wish there was a black because sometimes it's obvious that I am wearing this. I actually like the comb because it's great for travel when I don't want to bring too many items with me. The reason I gave this a 4 is because I don't like that when you take out some product you cant put it back in so you have to be careful when you twist out the product because you can't twist it back in. Other than that I would repurchase this, I just wish that there was a darker color but I can live with this.

Tinted Moisturizer -TheBalm - BalmShelter Tinted Moisturizer
thekyayu 6/22/2012 1:20:00 PM
I am in LOVE with this moisturizer!!!! I have been searching for a good TM that won't look streaky on my face and this is it!!! It has enough coverage that it evens out the skin tone and hides any redness however it does not have enough coverage to hide blemishes which is ok with me because it's such a lightweight TM. It does not feel like I have anything on my face which is what I like. It has spf 18 which is great!!! This is never given me break outs but I remember the first time I wore it it felt heavy on my skin but now it does not feel like I have anything on. A lot of people have complained that it's too yellow based but since I have more of a tan it works a lot better on my skin. I love the packaging! It's a tube so it's very hygienic and it's easy to travel with! I will most definitely repurchase this! I got this on hautelook.com for $10 so if you just want to try this wait until thebalm is back on the website instead of paying $25 on their website.

Mascara -Almay - Get Up and Grow
thekyayu 5/29/2012 8:58:00 PM
I had heard from emilynoel that she loves this mascara so I decided to give it a try after I tossed out my horrible Rimmel Scandaleyes that would clump like no tomorrow. I must say I am extremely impressed with this!!! This reminds me of my Lancome mascara. It does not clump at all and gives great volume. I already have naturally curly lashes so I don't really look for a mascara to hold curl when I buy it. I really like that the package feels like I've closed it properly and it has a nice weight to it. It's a very plain package with green writing but packaging isn't something that I look for when I buy a product. This has not flaked on me at all. I got the black/brown color and I actually prefer it to the black one. I am very impressed with this and for $7.50 cdn you can't go wrong!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Matte 903C Just Peachy
thekyayu 5/22/2012 6:05:00 PM
I have FINALLY found the perfect lipstick for me!!! I've been going on a wnw lipstick haul and picked this up recently and it is now my perfect lipstick! I have been searching for a color that can enhance my lips and this is a great nude color! I thought it would be more pinkish when I read the name but it is the right amount of pink for my lips. It is matte which can be drying but as long as you put lip chap on you're fine. Sometimes I dab it on the lips because I don't want too much color to show up but it's so pigmented that you can put a good amount of color with just one swipe. I must say for $2.84 cdn you cannot go wrong! Wet n Wild has done it again!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast in Purty Persimmon
thekyayu 5/22/2012 5:57:00 PM
I've gone on a WNW lipstick haul and I picked this one up because I was attracted to the bright color. I must say this is a great coral color. It is matte which is great but because it's matte it is drying but put some lip chap under your lipstick and you're good to go! It does lean a tiny bit towards red than orange and I'm so happy to finally find a lipstick that's more corally red than orange. This will come off after you eat and drink so be prepared to re-apply. I highly recommend this and I would definitely repurchase.
