Misc Beauty Tools -LUSH - LUSH - Whole Store

I'm a big Lush fan since their skincare products worked wonders on my acne-prone, oily skin. The sales associates are very friendly and helpful whenever you go to their stores, well at least the two stores I've been to here in California. I'm not a huge fan of their hair care line but I do like their R&B hair conditioner. Their bath products are a nice treat after a long, stressful day. My only real complaint is their prices. They're expensive! The most expensive item that I bought from them was $39.95 for one of their moisturizers! Other than that I'm really satisfied with a lot of the products that I've tried from them as well as the customer service I receive at the stores.

Styling Products -SAMY - Big Curls Curl Defining Creme
rated 2 of 5
thatssoblasian 3/17/2012 8:41:00 PM

I wanted a cheaper alternative to Kinky Curly's curl custard so I saw this at Target and bought it. First, let me say that I personally feel like this product was mislabeled. Its called a creme but for me it was more liquidy than a cream kind of texture. When applied to my damp hair, it somewhat kept the wavys/curls without causing any frizz; HOWEVER, because of its liquid consistency, I had to apply a lot of product just to get the look I wanted. Also, it left a weird..almost greasy like texture to my hair so I had to rinse it out of my hair at night. Overall, I'm not impressed with this product. Although it's dirty cheap, you would probably go through several bottles of it in a short period of time. I'm not a big fan of the consistency of the product, nor the citrus smell.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - One 'n Only - Argan Oil Restorative Mask
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 1/11/2012 5:49:00 AM

I love this stuff! I have very dry, damaged hair and this mask (as well as the shampoo and argan oil treatment) have dramatically improved the condition of my hair! It's a lot softer, shiner, moisturized, and I've noticed a lot less damage since using it. I honestly try to use this mask at least once a week, given that my hair was originally dry/damaged and I don't want it to ever go back to that. I highly recommend, especially if you have the same hair dilemma as I did.

Moisturizers -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Tomatoes Daily Balancing Moisturizer
rated 2 of 5
thatssoblasian 10/2/2011 5:33:00 AM

I really wanted to love this moisturizer; however it didn't work well with my skin. I have very oily, sensitive, acne prone skin so its pretty hard to find a good moisturizer that isn't too heavy, won't irritate my skin, or cause break outs. I use to use some LUSH brand moisturizers but I was looking for a cheaper, better alternative. I came across the Yes To Tomatoes moisturizer while I was at Target. What caught my eye was that it's supposedly natural and is cruelty free, which are huge pluses in my book. Initially, the smell is what bothered me on the first two nights of using this product. I did like the consistency of the product and how it went on smooth and made my skin feel very velvety soft after applying it. I also liked the overall container itself. It comes with a pump so it makes measuring the right amount of product a breeze. When I did apply it, my skin would start to get somewhat itchy. At first I thought it was because the product was new, but as the weeks went by my skin would continue to be itchy and even progressively gotten worse. I eventually stopped using this product after a month of use; however since I still have a lot left I'll probably reuse it so I don't completely throw my money away.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 9/5/2011 9:57:00 PM

This is by far my favorite EOS lip balm sphere! The mint is so refreshing and smells wonderful! It does a good job moisturizing my lips without leaving them feeling waxy and gross. And the EOS company in general makes organic/natural products and don't test their products on animals, which is always great!

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
rated 4 of 5
thatssoblasian 9/5/2011 9:54:00 PM

I love EOS lip balms! The summer fruit one isn't really my favorite, in regards to smell/flavor wise, but it still gets the job done. When you glide it on, you'll notice that it's very light weight and doesn't leave your lips feeling waxy or gross like a lot of the other lip balms out there. It does moisturize your lips; however, sometimes I find myself putting it on several times a day because I feel it doesn't moisturize enough (since it is light weight). The positives definitely outshines the negative for this product. These products are organic and not tested on animals, which is always a major plus!

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Lemon Drop SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
thatssoblasian 9/5/2011 9:47:00 PM

I love EOS lip balm spheres! The lemon drop one smells great and has the added benefit of SPF 15, which is perfect for the summer time! It does moisturize your lips without leaving a waxy gross feeling to them like a lot of the other lip balms out there. My main complaint is that it doesn't moisturize enough at times, so you find yourself apply more and more through out the day. Other than that this is a great product and the positives outshines the negatives.

Masks -LUSH - Mask of Magnaminty
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 9/4/2011 6:27:00 AM

I bought this product back in May and my sister & I are still using it 4 months later! I mainly got this because this is a Lush mask that you can use without having to keep in the fridge or use within a two week time frame. I have very oily, acne prone skin so I try to use this product at least twice a week. It doesn't dry out my skin or cause irritation or break outs, but it does absorb excess oil, which is always a plus. If I do have blemishes, I tend to use this after I've cleansed my face with Herbalism and my pimples decrease in size by the next day.

Toners -LUSH - Tea Tree Water
rated 4 of 5
thatssoblasian 8/7/2011 5:55:00 AM

At first I was a bit hesitant because of the spritzing top but since I've been using it for several months now, its a good way to prevent unnecessary waste of this product. I don't spritz this product directly on my face like how its suggests. I apply a couple of squirts to a cotton ball and wipe it all over my face at night after cleansing. It helps to remove excess oil & dirt that my cleanser may have left behind. It has helped a lot in taming my acne, along with the Herbalism cleanser, so I'm a happy girl. Although it is pretty pricey, if you buy the large bottle it'll last you for several months. I bought my bottle in February of this year and now that its only August, I have yet to get half way finished with this bottle! I will definitely buy this product again.

Shampoo -LUSH - Godiva Solid 2 in 1
rated 3 of 5
thatssoblasian 8/7/2011 5:40:00 AM

I'm a big fan of Lush products so I finally decided to try out their hair care products. I have dry hair so I was told by one of the workers at the Lush that I go to that this product is good for moisturizing dry hair. The lovely jasmine smell is what really got me hooked and the fact that the solid shampoos supposedly last up to 3 months. Applying this shampoo is easy. All you do is wet your hair and rub the solid shampoo in you hair a couple of times (depending on your hair length) to work into a lather. It does clean my hair well but as far as it being a 2 in 1, I still take the time to condition my hair afterward because it does not moisturize my hair as I'd like. Given this info, I will most likely not buy Godiva again. I'll be giving Trichomania a try next.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Dorothy
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 8/7/2011 5:32:00 AM

Dorothy bath bomb by Lush is awesome! It smells heavenly (the orange blossom scent is more pronounced but not overwhelming) and it has oils in it to help moisturize your skin while in the bath. You don't have to use the entire bar in one sitting. I was able to get 5 bubble baths in just one bar. You just have to break pieces off and crumble them into your running bath water and just let it do its magic. If you're not into green bath water I suggest not mixing the blue part of the bar with the rainbow part. To me, it doesn't matter but I know some people don't like that. Overall, I love this product and I will be buying it again sometime soon.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Twilight Bath Bomb
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 8/7/2011 5:21:00 AM

This is by far my favorite bath bomb by Lush. It has a lovely lavender scent to it, that is not too over powering, to help you relax after a long, hard, stressful day. I love how it changes your bath water from colorless, to pink, to blue, and finally to purple with glitter. Since these are a bit pricey, I usually buy them and save them until after I had an exam at school to help me relax and help me fall asleep. I HIGHLY recommend these if you're super busy like me and use your bath time to mellow out.

Moisturizers -LUSH - Enzymion
rated 3 of 5
thatssoblasian 5/3/2011 8:18:00 PM

I've been using this product now for about 3 months. I was initially using the Vanishing Cream moisturizer prior to using this. What really sold me in buying this product was the fact that it it made oily skin matte. I have acne-prone, very oily skin so I thought I'd give it a try. When you apply this product, it for sure mattified my skin; however, with oily skin like mine it doesn't stay like that for the entire day. I noticed a few hours later (after applying), I would be shiny which kinda sucked. As far as moisturizing, I don't suggest using this product during the winter because I did have a couple of dry spots (mainly in really sensitive areas, such as around the eyes) here and there on my face, so it didn't really provide the moisture I needed during the winter time to keep my skin in balance. I didn't have any problems with it causing my skin to break out. It's kinda heavily scented which is a bit annoying at first but it grew on me after further use. The consistency of the cream is a little thicker than the Vanishing Cream moisturizer but in regards to keeping very oily skin balanced (moisturized wise) I would say that I'm disappointed in this product more so. With that said, I HIGHLY doubt that I would buy this again.

Masks -LUSH - Cupcake Mask
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 8/13/2010 9:33:00 PM

This cupcake mask has made my skin a lot smoother and dramatically reduced it's oiliness. It smells great, it smells like chocolate, and a little does go a long way with this product; however this product must be kept refrigerated to prevent it from spoiling.

Moisturizers -LUSH - Vanishing Cream
rated 5 of 5
thatssoblasian 8/13/2010 9:27:00 PM

This moisturizer is perfect for my very oily, acne-prone skin. My face stays relatively shine free after I cleanse my skin and put this moisturizer on. It's really light weight and feels great on my skin. The only con I have about this product is the price. It's pretty expensive, especially if you're still in school like myself.
