Background: I have combination skin (very oily but also flaky in spots) that's very acne-prone, and have a history of breakouts from foundation. I've been using this foundation almost daily for several months. I usually apply this foundation with a flat-top brush, stippling it on rather than buffing. I can get full, even coverage quickly this way, but it uses quite a bit of product. Once dry, this foundation has a very natural "skin" finish - somewhere between matte and dewy, and not cake-y at all. I still get breakthrough shine during the day, but not as much as with other foundations I've tried. Amazingly, this foundation doesn't break me out at all, yay! I don't have many complaints with this foundation. I've noticed a semi-strong "earthy", makeup-y, sort of smell for about half an hour after application. I also don't love the packaging - it looks nice, but is heavy and unwieldy, and the frosted glass made it hard to pick out the right color in-store. Overall I think this is a HG product for me right now - full coverage, natural finish, no breakouts, easy to find, and not too expensive! I will definitely repurchase when my jar runs out.

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said - this is fantastic for exfoliating and scrubbing all over. I wad it up like a pouf, add soap, and massage it around until it gets foamy. Then I use it wadded up on my arms and legs before un-wadding to get my back. It's sooo satisfying when you have dry, itchy skin! It rinses clean easily and dries quickly, so you don't get any nasties living in it. I've used mine twice a week for over a year now. It's got a few snags but it still works great!

Concealers -Smashbox - High Definition Concealer

A Sephora SA talked me into buying this product for use on my dark undereye circles for my wedding. She demo'd it on me by mixing with a thick eye cream and I was pleased with the results. However, after I got home, I discovered that my tube had separated (like many other reviewers') and I couldn't get it to fully mix even after lots of shaking. Additionally, the consistency of this concealer is extremely thin and watery. I tried mixing it with my eye cream but this made it streaky and diluted the covering power. This concealer does give a nice smooth finish (not shiny or cakey), but the quality just isn't what I would expect for $22.

Hair Styling Tools -Remington - T-Studio Pearl Curling Wand

I am half Japanese, half German, and have lots of thick, dark, coarse hair. My hair does not take a curl well and will not hold a curl more than half a day without soaking it in hairspray. Prior to purchasing this wand, I rarely curled my hair because it would take 45-60 minutes. However, with this wand, I can curl my hair into lovely spiral curls in 30 minutes or less, and they will hold all day and into the next with little to no product. I also like that you have to hold down the power button to turn it off, and that you can lock the heat adjustment buttons, so you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting something while you're curling. The power cord is nice and long, and swivels so it doesn't get twisted. The glove that comes with this is just a thin cotton glove. It will keep you from getting burned if you brush up against the barrel, but you definitely can't hold onto the barrel. That said, I'm accident prone and probably would have burned my knuckles off by now without the glove, so I'm glad it's there. Overall I love that this wand is inexpensive, fast and easy to use, and effective. Definitely worth the $20 I spent!

Crème -Graftobian - High-Definition Glamour Color Creme Foundation

I wore this foundation for my wedding last week, and could not have been more pleased with it. It covered my acne and acne scars beautifully, erased my pores, and left my skin looking naturally perfect, despite my low-tech application (fingers). The coverage stayed all day, even through pictures in 95 degree weather and dancing. I have been using it since then as my general foundation, and am still loving it. It isn't even breaking me out, and I have very finicky skin. I will absolutely repurchase!
