Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Brazilian Blowout
temadeamor 4/6/2013 1:28:00 AM
thanks for the first reviewer to putting up her review, I totally agree, this is a great treatment. It is expensive, but I got the original Brazilian Blowout which is more expensive. After much research, I knew it was the one I wanted to try. Before the BB, I had dry 3a curls and after the treatment my hair is soft like never before, no frizz and immediately went to 2a curls, but it starting to come back to curly, still no frizz. it definitely didn't get rid of my curls. I use the Giovani 2chic keratin/argan shampoo and conditioner and a leave in conditioner (any will do). I only wash it twice a week and can hold a style 3-4 days. I don't heat treat it very often and find that I can just wash and go and my hair is soft and manageable. I love my hair with this treatment and will definitely get it again, it's a life changer.

Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Enzo Milano Curling Iron
temadeamor 4/6/2013 1:00:00 AM
My review is probably biased since i bought this on a whim at good will for $3! i wanted to try a clipless curling iron but didn't want to spend lots of money. my best ceramic, flat iron is only $60 (HAI). So I bought it and it is so easy to use. it gives me the best soft spiral curls, you know the trendy ones. I have a good curling iron, but have never achieved soft spirals until this. I use it on dry hair, put on soft hold hair spray and smooth over Skinny serum. Would I pay $120 for it probably not, but if I needed a new one and could find it for under $100, i would totally buy it again.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Whisper
temadeamor 3/3/2013 1:56:00 PM
I never got into the lip butter craze because I found the revlon ones too sheer. I love a good tinted balm, but I was never satisfied. These aren't really balms but they are moisturizing and really nicely pigmented. I have lust for blush, which is a little too light for me( L'oreal W6) but I make it work. Youtubers are mad for this color because a lot of them are light skinned, but if you are medium or darker it may wash you out. I also have made it mauve (perfect neutral) and mad for magenta (lovely bright magenta). The packaging is better than other drugstore sheer lipsticks, not too fuzzy and easy to use. But best of all the colors are buildable yet sheer enough to be used on the go. I would highly recommend them.

Mascara -MAC - Opulash Optimum Black mascara
temadeamor 3/3/2013 1:29:00 PM
I will not re repurchasing this mascara. I don't know what it is about this formula but it irritated my eyes. On top of that, it dries to a brittle finish that if you don't remove it all the way at night it remains as little flakes that get into your eyes, I think that is why I reacted to it. I didn't think it was any better than drugstore mascaras therefore I do not recommend it.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Black Lacquer
temadeamor 3/3/2013 1:26:00 PM
I really liked this mascara, I think it's the wand that does it for me. I don't like the original voluminous, I found it clumpy and too wet, but this formula is very nice. I wouldn't say it gives me false lashes (I don't know what those look like, but I imagine they are more dramatic than mascara) but it does lengthen and define the lashes. it is not volumizing, but it is not what I was looking for. The brush is skinny and allows me to really get to the base of the lashes. I will definitely repurchase.

Blush -Revlon - Photoready Cream Blush
temadeamor 1/17/2013 1:28:00 PM
This is a good cream blush for a beginner or someone who doesn't like bright blushes, like me. I have Pinched and I do have to apply a lot to get it to shop up. But that is not a problem for me since I dont like obvious blushes. I am medium, warm toned for reference. I really like the packaging and it is really easy to apply, but the payoff is not the best. it leaves a sheen on my cheeks that looks more like highlighter. I do like that it is cream and since I have dry skin it is my favorite way to wear blush in the winter.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
temadeamor 1/16/2013 1:55:00 PM
Let me start by saying, I dont' like crunchy/stiff eyelashes. It is the reason why I didnt' wear mascara until a few years ago. This mascara leaves my lashes to dry and stiff, they hurt! It must be the formula. The mascara does give lots of length and some volume, so it makes the lashes look much more dramatic, but i am not willing to pay the cost of stiff lashes. If you dont' mind that feeling, this mascara may work for you.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette

if you don't own lots of shimmery neutrals and like to wear natural looks this is your palette. I was very hesitant because I figured how good could it be, but my husband got me a sephora gift card for christmas so I used it for something I wouldn't normally buy. I got this palette and am really enjoying it. you can do really natural looks and more dramatic smokey looks all with the same palette. definitely recommend it.

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Serum
temadeamor 12/20/2012 3:22:00 PM
i have bought this serum three times. For reference, I have 3a curls, and try to minimize my use of silicones, except for this serum. I've tried others, with argan oil, macadamia oil, etc, but this is the best. I use it after I've heat treated my hair, either with the flat ion or curling iron and it makes my hair super soft without weighing it down. of course, if you over use it, it builds up, so i only use two pumps and it's enough for my really big, thick hair. They have smaller travel sizes if you want to try it and not spend $20 on the bigger bottle.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Expert Face Brush

Best drugstore brush ever. I got mine at Ulta for under $10 and I may need to get more. I have dry skin so I don't use brushes to apply foundation but if i was going to use one it would be this one. I have used it with L'oreal lumi foundation and Estee Lauder invisible make up and it works great. I mostly use it to apply blush and powder or cream blushes. definitely try it.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup
temadeamor 11/27/2012 3:34:00 PM
If you are on the market for a light weight easy foundation try the lumi foundation. I got in in color 6W and it matches me very well. My only complaint is the longevity of it, but I don't want heavy coverage. I have dry skin so it doesn't look so dewy on me just natural. The pump is good for dispensing what you need. I have used it in my fingers, real techniques expert brush and Sigma F85 and it all works. my favorite is with my fingers though. This is a definite staple drug store foundation.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Invisible Fluid Makeup
temadeamor 11/27/2012 3:30:00 PM
I love this foundation. It's very light weight in coverage and leans on the yellow side (3WN1) but that is perfect since I have yellow undertones. The price isn't bad for department store make up and it is better than Chanel aqualumiere in my opinion. It has no scent, which is great because I am sensitive to them. Overall, good light coverage everyday foundation, easy to use and the plastic bottle makes it good for travel.

Treatments -Phyto - Phyto 9
temadeamor 7/19/2012 3:14:00 PM
This was the biggest waste of money. I have dry, curly hair and lots of it. I thought this would be good to give moisture to my ends specially on second day hair. It does absolutely nothing. If anything, my hair feels brittle after i've used it. and if I dare use it above my ends, it flakes. I tried it on wet hair, dry hair and made no difference. maybe it works on normal, healthy hair. But on my dry 3a curls, it was a bust.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Tickled Pink
temadeamor 6/24/2012 4:42:00 PM
I've been searching for a replacement for my NARS Sex Appeal because I didn't want to pay so much again, even though I love the color. This ELF blush may be it. It is a little brighter than Sex Appeal, but for $3, i'll take it. There is very little color pay-off but I love subtle blushes. it barely shows up on my NC35 skin which means I can't over do it and it looks very natural just like NARS Sex Appeal. I think I found my drugstore alternative.

Moisturizers -Origins - NIght-A-Mins Cream
temadeamor 6/23/2012 9:43:00 AM
I have dry skin and this night moisturizer is wonderful. it is not too rich, so it feels light on the skin but still moisturizing and it does not irritate. I am using it in the summer and it is not too heavy but i think it will still be good in the winter when my skin is dryer. I love Origins products and this is another winner.
