Highlighters -Essence - Breaking Dawn Shimmer Powder - Bella’s Secret

First off, I'll state, I am not a twi-hard. I watched the movies, but eh...I'm not obsessed. I will state however, I AM obsessed with Highlights and anything that can make me glow. I have owned/own the infamous NARS Albatross, Too Faced Candlelight glow, MAC Soft & Gentle, STILA Kitten, theBalm Luminizer etc. I stumbled across this when I was visitng ULTA (as I so often do) in the brushes section. There were polishes, blushes and glitter powder but none compared to this beauty. It reminded me right off the bat of theBalms Mary-Lou Luminizer, but with more of a brown peachy undertone. I got home and swatched them both. As you can see from the picture I've included, Bella's secret is more of a subtle sheen. not overly frosty or glitter ball at all. Mary-lou is more light, white champagne colored with medium frost and mid glitter. Telling from both, Bella's secret would be great for mature skin because it does not highlight wrinkles or fine lines (which I have alittle of, even though I am 23 yrs). Mary Lou is more over dramatic and noticeable. For three dollars, you can NOT go wrong with Bellas secret. You get .38oz which is TONS! It is not even slightly powdery, which can be a result of drugstore products. It goes on nice and smooth. I use my Real techniques stippling brush to apply. Its like I got kissed with the highlight fairy! It lasts just as long as my face make-up does. I make sure to add my setting spray, to make sure this melts right into my skin. Even though the packaging looks cheap, I LOVE the fact that you can see from the outside whats inside, how much and what color. When I'm in a rush, it will be a godsend. I even did a Holiday look with this and it looks so great with a light smokey eye and bold lips. ULTA's return policy is great, so if you want to try it out, and don't like it afterwards and doubt you'll ever wear it, you can always return it. For me though this is a keeper and I am sure to use it when I need a soft lit glow to highlight my cheeks.

Blush -Physicians Formula - pH matchmaker

Okay, so this product is kind of expensive for a drugstore product. I mean, 14 dollars for a blush? I was iffy,to say the least. This is a true account of my experience with this blush: I did my whole make-up routine and went to apply the blush. I had swatched it before, but never had applied it with my blusher. I dabbed some and applied it. WOW! I put WAYYY too much on there. I tried to blend it out the best I could and moved to the next cheek. This time I carefully applied a dab of it and blended it out. Nice work. By the time I went back to correct the messed up side with powder on top to blend it out some more, it didn't look half-bad! Thinking back now, while I write this review, I don;t know if it was the pH adjusting part doing its job, or if I was just shocked in the beginning about its pigmentation. I have to say, I think it might have been the pH part, because I think it looked like my other cheek. Its wasn't so bright and too much, anymore! By all means, if you doubt me, try it out and post a review for what you think. The formula: A+ Pigmentation is soft and velvety. Not dusty at all. Its a babydoll pink, with cooler undertones. I am NC30 and this looked radiant on me. You can apply it lightly to get a pinch of pink or heavily, and add more color. Just be careful, because it packs a punch, and I do believe it will adjust, but it can only adjust so much, and then your on your own. :) I added a photo so you can see for yourself. I also added the PF Happy booster photo, side by side, for reference.

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Lipstick

Being that I was fairly new to the e.l.f brand, I gave this a try when I found a coupon for free shipping. I mean, hey why not? The products are DIRT cheap and the quality is nothing short of great. Some products. Other products, suck. I figured for 1 dollar each, that's pretty good, price wise and the reviews I saw, matched my expectations, so I placed my order. I picked out flirtatious, classy, and nostalgic. On first swipe, I fell in love with nostalgic. Let me start off by saying, this nude is not for everyone. I was in the car with 2 girlfriends raving about this, and I let them try. One of them loved it, the other, did not. The colour is a very warm nude. On my lips, it looks like a very very light pink. I have light medium skin (studio fix NC30) so I think this complements my yellow undertones well. The one I ordered two of because I was afraid I would love it so much that I would need two, was Classy. Let's just say, not so much. It is a pretty color, but not my cup of tea. It is a sheer berry colored lipstick and my first one broke on first swatch. Word to the wise, be careful with these cheap lipsticks, they are CHEAP and break easily. The packaging sucks. It is a clear plastic when you remove the top and it sometimes sticks when rolling it up. But hey, I didn't buy this lipstick because of the packaging... Last one I got was flirtatious. This is a deeper coloured barbie pink. Its not a out there pink like the Barbie colour, but has deeper shades of pink and is very creamy and pigmented. I liked it, but I don't wear bold pink lips every day, so I will use this once in a blue moon. Overall, they are pretty pigmented and I will be looking to pick up more at my local Target. These exceeded my expectations and I recommend at least trying one out to see what I'm talking about. For a dollar, its a bargain! I definitely will be looking for more nostalgic's, seeing as I am a nude girl, for life!

Polishes -Milani - Diamond Dazzle

Love this nail polish. You can wear it alone or on top of different colors. I prefer this, as opposed to crystals or rhinestones on top of my nails, that eventually fall off, or get picked off. This will turn any color into a WOW color. The glitter is different sizes so it adds tons of dimension. It does feel alittle more gritty to the tough compared to other nail polishes, sans the glitter. Its to be expected though. I wear mine on top of other colors and have no problem with chipping or flaking. I think it adheres better to a coat that's already there. Try it, you'll love it. If not, just stare at it. Its so pretty! I will add a pic so you can see how beautiful it really is.

Blush -NYX - Red *Updated Color*

I have been lemming after MAC's frankly scarlet for the longest time. When I found out this was a dupe for it, I put it on my list of wishes. I finally was able to buy this and will be repurchasing as soon as I hit pan. The formula is almost creamy, because of how pigmented it is. This is the perfect red. The way this blends, is the only negative. You have to be careful where you apply it, and how much you apply. If you aren't sure, apply only a tiny bit, because once you apply too much, you can't really go back. Overall a must have color for any woman who is just starting her collection, or a make-up pro.
