All time favourite powder! Does not emphasise my dry, flaky skin. Leaves my skin smooth and with a satin finish! Helps keep my foundation on all day as well! Lots of powders (and I have tried soooo many) make my skin look caked up, dry, even wrinklely (I am 23 I dont have wrinkles) or have shimmer in them (who would put big shimmer particules in a face powder and expect people to like looking like it? I look like a disco ball!). This one doesnt do any of that! Love love! Pricey but you get 21gr and the container is big (you can really swirl your brush to pick up powder and because it is so big there are less chances of spilling powder from the sides which means less powder going to waste) and the holes that allow the powder to come out are so tiny (when you tap to get powder out you can never get too much which means again less powder going to waste). Usually with loose powders I tap the container and when i open it the lid is filled with powder and it is flying everywhere! Not with this one! Also has got a lovely scent to it. Not overpowering at all very slight. Even though it has got added fragrance it doesnt irritate my extremely sensitive skin! Fragrance is one of the very last ingredients so maybe thats why!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Stay Natural Makeup

Best drugstore foundation! Loved normal colorstay but broke me, colorstay stay natural does not. I wear buff in both by the way (mac nc15, estee lauder double wear 1w1bone). Lasts all day, has good coverage, does not emphasise my dry flakes. One thing I would complain about is that it leaves a white cast in photos (flash photography) due to the high consistency of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. But I wear estee lauder double wear light(another all time favourite, along with this one) on top when going out to avoid it. You can wear a powder foundation as well to prevent the white cast but my skin is too dry for powder foundation. Anyway, love this I will repurchase!

This powder is amazing! Provides oil control, sets foundation, gives that soft focus effect, minimizes the appearance of pores and wrinkles, does not look dry or cakey! But can emphasize the wrinkles if you use too much! But so many other powders are similar makeupforever hd, elf hd powder and many other brands make similar silica powders and translucent ones that are cheaper than this one. But I prefer this one and i will continue purchasing this one for one reason only, because in flash photography this does not leave a white cast on the skin and this is because the silica in this powder is very low. It contains calcium aluminum borosilicate and silica. It is basically all calcium aluminum borosilicate with very little silica. Of coure if you dont ever take photos there are many cheaper alternatives you can choose from and will save you lots of $$. Every other translucent powder I have tried either gives a white cast or contains cornstarch (like mac prep and prime loose powder) that usually breaks people out because cornstarch feeds bacteria which will lead to your skin to be filled with bacteria and cause breakouts even acne! Talc free powders like this one are the best cause talc can dry you skin out which can cause redness, rashes and pimples. Laura mercier has produced an excellent powder but yes it is over prised because you only get 11.3gr. but this powder does not compare to any other alternatives (except chantecaille loose powder). This powder and Chantecaille loose powder are my absolute favorites! I wish people at makeupalley researched their products a little more because writing a review because it is a pity such a great product to have a very low rating.

Favorite foundation now that my skin is very dry! Doesnt show up my dry patches which basically are all over my face at the moment. I use a moisturiser (apivita aqua moisturiser dry skin types) and clarins beauty flash balm as a primer. Light coverage (a bit more coverage of tinted moisturiser) so i use my trusty estee lauder double wear concealer in 01 light to cover redness. Lasts all day with a touch of powder on the top! Blends so easily perfect color match i am shade 1n1 (mac nc15 mixed with nw15 revlon colorstay buff mixed with ivory). Nice that i dont need to mix anything to get a perfect color. The consistency is like no other it is very liquidy almost like colored water! Because it is so liquidy product comes out the squeeze top very easily and if you leave the bottle up side down when you twist the cap open product comes out! Not the best packiging for traveling! This is a even lighter version of the double wear light for me. Estee lauder double wear original: full coverage oily, very oily skin types Estee lauder double wear light: medium coverage all skin types not very dry skin types though Estee lauder invisible fluid: light coverage normal, dry, very dry

Have used this for years for almost 8 years! I used this in combination with other treatments to clear my acne. The last year and a half i have tried many different brands drugstore and high end because my skin became more dry and i though i needed to change cleanser and all either broke me out or did not clean my face well. I used Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser basically for the past year thinking it suited my skin better but had developed spots again and was wondering why. I switched to this again two days ago and my skin is clear already! This cleans your skin do deeply and removes absolutely everything. My face after the first wash felt super duper clean and refreshed for the first time after a whole year of using cetaphil! Even after a few hours my face still feels clean and fresh! I LOVE this! Just because this formulated for oily doesnt mean dry acne prone skin can not use it!

Foundations -Max Factor - MAX FACTOR LASTING PERFORMANCE

Comparable to my estee lauder double wear! Not as goos coverage though and not as long lasting. Its transfer-resistant which nice applys well but does go a shade darker within the first hour you wear it so go for a shade lighter than your skintone. Suitable more for oily/combo skin but people with dry skin can use it they use a good moisturiser and a moisturising primer underneath. Not a great color selection.I do not use this because in australia they do not stock my shade which 100fair they start from 2 shades darker 102 pastel! So annoying the only good drugstore foundation that does not break me out!

VERY good coverage! Amazing and at the same time natural-looking and not cakey! Lasts well through out the day not as well as double wear, revlon colorstay. This would be good for normal/dry skin because it has got some moisturising proporties but even on combo skin it would not be bad. It is not transfer-proof or transfer resistant as some claim which is a bit of pain. BUT this does break me out! It contains ethylhexyl palmitate which is a highly comedogenic ingredients in the first 5 ingredients! Why do cosmetic and skincare companies do this?

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream

Great moisturising cream for my dry skin. I only use it ay night because it is thick and does not absorb fast. It takes all night to absorb for that reason it is not suitable for morning and under makeup. Moistures skin extremely well and reduced the redness that i have on my face. Does not break me out! Great product! UPDATE this makes any pimples or little red spots you get worse! I because i always have a spot or two i will not be using again!

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

Used this cleanser for year and a half and liked it a lot! Gentle cleanse the face and does not irritate it at all. You need to use a makeup remover because this is not strong enough to remove it on its own. The only reason I am giving this a 3 is because it contains 2 highly comedogenic ingredients. Cetyl alcohol and sodium lauryl sulfate(check temtalia.com for a list of comedogenic ingredients). For a year this was working really great but then i noticed that my skin started getting red and irritated for no reason at all. I started switching my makeup routine and my moisturiser because it never crossed my mind that this would break me out. I checked the ingredients by chance on priceline.com.au and was shocked to see that a brand formulated for sensitive skin would do this! Stopped using it 2 days ago and my skin looks clearer already! I now use Apivita cleansing milk with honey an orange for normal/dry skin and love it!

Loose Powders -Dermablend - Setting Powder (loose & pressed)

Good oil controlling powder and make your foundation transfer proof. But this broke me out because it basically contains only 2 ingredients talc and methylparaben. Talc in such a high consistency in a powder can cause break out on sensitive skins. Dermablend also sells a talc-free one that is called numasque talc-free loose setting powder and that is as good as this one and does not break me out!

Highlighters -NARS - Illuminator in Copacabana

Basically I mix it with my foundation when my skin is feeling extra dry or in the summer when i want less coverage. I use double wear light 1.0 which is a bit dark on my fair skin but this has got a pinky silvery color which makes the foundation a bit lighter and bit more on the neutral side which ends up being a perfect match for me. I do own benefit high beam and i have to say to colors are exactly the same. But i do not like the benefit one because it is hard to apply but nars copacabana is a dream for that.Revlon sells and a liquid illuminator as well but that shade is quite darker and a bit more peachy that this one which doesnt work when i mix it with my double wear light foundation. Copacabana works really well as a highlighter. It gives you a luminous-radiant effect rather than a shimmery one and blends like a dream. I really love this product but the price is a bit over the top for what it is but i will still repurchase. I have to mention that this color will not work well on medium or dark skitones but you can go for the other colors in the range(orgasm and laguna). Do not go for super orgasm because it is quite pinky it would only work under a blush to give your cheeks some radiance not a cheekbone highlighter.

My skin is combo. Normal to oily nose and chin and extremely dry everywhere else. When my dry skin becomes flaky and no foundation goes one smoothly which usually happens when i dont moisturise well this night or the morning before o this will glide on and not emphasise any dry skin. Has got some shimmer particles but i use a quite matte powder over the top so the sparkles are not noticeable. Sheer to medium coverage. Good color match 02 linen im a mac mix of nc15 and nw15, double wear mix of bone and cool bone and revlon colorstay buff. Does hold up good during the day on dry skin but not near as well as double wear and double wear light. Best applied with hands because the consistency is kind of cream or mouse like.

Easy blendable, light to medium coverage but 2min after putting this one my face i felt my skin burning and saw bumps coming through fast washed it off straight away and my face was left extremely red about an 3hours later my skin was back to normal. Hate mac foundations, concealers and powders all of them break me out or i have an allergic reaction to them.

Truly superblendable! Lots of colors to choose from. Any way you apply this it will blend like a dream! Sheer to medium coverage but within an hour a lot of it had worn off my face even though i powdered and used a primer! I do not even have oily skin.
