Cleansers -LUSH - Dark Angels
tangerine6 7/25/2012 1:50:00 AM
The experience of using LUSH Dark Angels feels just like any other excellent face scrub, although this feels a little more… abrasive… in a pretty good way if that makes sense. The grittiness of the ‘charcoal’ is just enough to slough off and polish the skin, but not so much that it ends up being irritating. My face feels amazingly smooth (like a baby’s bottom, I tell you) and refreshed after using Dark Angels without that tight and dry feel some cleanser and exfoliators leave. My skin feels clean, clear, and loved. I use it for my elbows too and any other body part that needs regular exfoliating.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Extase Flash Plumping Mascara
tangerine6 7/25/2012 1:47:00 AM
I’ve tried all of the Diorshow mascaras but none hit the sweet spot quite like Extase. It lifts and enhances my lashes. It adds thickness, length, and definition to my eyes making it look beautiful and adding drama at the same time, which is exactly what I need when I am out with my girlfriends. I like pairing it with a primer (Lancome Cils Booster) to avoid the dreaded mascara migration at the end of the night especially after some crazy dancing at the club. Not that I’ve ever experienced it with this mascara, as it’s waterproof. I just absolutely love Diorshow Extase. It makes my lashes look full with only a couple coats needed. The only problem I have with it is the price, but other than that this is definitely the best mascara I've ever tried.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
tangerine6 7/25/2012 1:29:00 AM
I’ve been using this for a while now and have been impressed every time I used it, but it wasn’t until I brought this to Vegas with me that I was blown away with just how… ‘effective’ it is. I have slightly oily lids and while my other primer that I use for less special occasions works great too, it only works well up to a certain amount of time. But Too Faced Shadow Insurance? No expiration. I used this while I was in Vegas and I was dancing for almost five hours, sweating profusely, and was almost in a humid environment but my eyeshadow stayed put. It remained looking so flawless before, during, and after the sweaty dancing that you would think I had just put it on. Like seriously, this primer is a life-changer. And it makes my eyeshadow pop. And a little really does go a long way in terms of usage, so I’m pretty sure that a single tube of this will remain forever in your makeup drawer. This is so worth the purchase.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
tangerine6 7/24/2012 10:01:00 PM
The Color Tattoo Eyeshadow applies like a cream but eventually dries down and then becomes almost like any other powder shadow. It. Does. Not. Budge. once applied, thus making blending rather pointless hence, the Tattoo part of its name I suppose. Nevertheless, that only means that this shadow stays for a long time and while I can’t really attest to the “24-hour” claim, I can say that I’ve had this shadow on for 20 hours and it stayed… well… like a tattoo on my eyelids without any creasing whatsoever. And with a primer layered under it, it's just the perfect, no-budge, low maintenance eyeshadow. It’s amazing. It’s so pigmented and very easy to apply. I just use my ring finger to dab it on my lids and voila! I'm set for the day.

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
tangerine6 7/24/2012 9:53:00 PM
I know that this is a popular product and is a favorite of beauty bloggers and makeup mavens alike, but I’m not really enjoying this product so much. For its claim to be oil-free, it feels greasy as hell. I’d take out my eye makeup with this and it leaves an oily residue even after I rinse with water. My Lancome Bi-Facil contains oil, but that does not feel greasy AT ALL the way this does. The good thing about this remover though is it doesn’t sting so it’s gentle on the eyes and it still performs pretty well as a makeup remover. I’m just bothered by its greasiness especially since it claims to be “oil-free.” That said, I will definitely save up for the Lancome Bi-Facil or find another alternative and will not repurchase this after I finish the bottle.
