Just a really great pigmented matte cool pink blush. I was a little apprehensive before I got this since I haven't had good experiences with drugstore face products in the past, but when I saw the raves for this blush, I decided to give it one more shot. I have to say I did not expect this to wow me the way it did! I love this blush so much, it gives my skin a nice healthy flush. I use this on a daily basis now, and I definitely plan on buying a few more the next time I make an order. For $3 a pop, I don't see why not!

Polishes -Christian Dior - Waterlily
rated 5 of 5

I didn't own a single Dior nail polish until Waterlily. I bought this in January, and it was love at first sight. This nail polish is like magic, it looks amazing and the application was great. I used two coats, and the brush was just the right size to cover my entire nail in one swoop. The one thing that bothered me a little was the scent, as it was rather strong the first day I applied the polish. Fortunately, the next day the scent was much more tolerable as some of it faded away. I personally liked the rosy scent, but that's just my opinion; I would advise anyone that might purchase this to try it on first to see if you can tolerate the smell. This is an awesome polish, and it attracts compliment magnet. Get it if you can tolerate the scent!

Lipstick -Clinique - Almost Lipstick - Black Honey
rated 4 of 5

Clinique's Black Honey Almost Lipstick is the first 'lipstick' I bought, though I consider it to be a tinted balm. Because of its sheer color, it comes off differently on different people and it is universally flattering. When I swipe this lipstick on, my lips look slightly darker, plummier, healthier. etc. It is also a very buildable color; depending on how much you apply, the color could be just a little darker than your lips alone (how I like it), or it could be built up to a seductive berry red. What I like the most about this lipstick is the amount you get from it. By paying $14, you get .07 ounce of product, which. for me, guaranties I won't need to repurchase this any more. I find that this color suits every skin tone, like most sheer colors. The only thing I find bothersome with all Clinique lip products is the fact that they rarely last for more than a hour or two. I'd give this product a 4.5 rating, but this site doesn't allow for decimals, which is why I gave it a 4.

Lipstick -Clinique - Different Lipstick - A Different Grape
rated 3 of 5

Just to let you know, I actually received this lipstick in a gift with purchase, so I didn't have to pay anything for it. First off this is a smooth lipstick that doesn't dry out my chronically dry lips. It conveys a bright plummy pink color on my lips that would definitely look good on cool skin. I have to say that the color doesn't look that great on me, so I wouldn't recommend this to people who have a warm complexion... Another thing that bothers me about this lipstick is that it doesn't last long on my lips. I'd say this color can stay on for an hour, at most. I find it really annoying when I have to reapply a lipstick six to eight times a day. Different Grape doesn't really have a scent; if it does it's extremely faint. I wouldn't repurchase a lipstick from this line (even though I didn't buy it in the first place). I might reconsider if Clinique were to make their lipstick formula longer lasting.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Gabrielle 19
rated 5 of 5

Chanel released this lipstick line earlier this year on February 25th to replace the Hydrabase lipsticks. I only have one of them right know, but plan to buy a lot more based on the quality I've experienced with the one I already have. #19 Gabrielle is what I call a true red, though it leans a bit towards blue-based reds, so cool toned ladies might want to check it out. However it isn't overwhelming on my warm skin, and I find it suitable to wear at day time. Though it looks like a creamy, glossy lipstick on pics taken by other reviewers, this lipstick actually has golden sparkles in it (bet you didn't know that). And this isn't the kind of shimmer you'd find in a kid's makeup kit. It the kind of subtle shimmer that Chanel incorporates so perfectly into their most wanted beauty products; it's the kind that is sophisticated, barely there, but that adds an alluring twist to this already wonderful product. I would recommend trying it out first, though, because strong colors like this can really overwhelm a person's skin tone if they aren't careful.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
rated 5 of 5
tackless 5/21/2010 5:14:00 PM

I bought this absolutely amazing cleanser in September 2009, and I haven't even finished using an ounce of product yet! I don't use it everyday, but I do use it at least 3 times per week. Granted, the price could be a little cheaper, but, for the amount of time the product actually lasts, it doesn't really bother me. Another thing that bothers me a bit is the scent. I have never smelled a scent quite like this in the past, and I find that it bothers my usually unresponsive nose... It's not so bad as in I can't stand it, but it's just something I'd like to point out for those who have sensitive nose. On to the good part. This is the best makeup remover EVER. Seriously. I use this at night, to remove all my makeup (foundation, blush, powder(s), eyeliner), and it really takes everything off. I'm sure of that because I tone my skin immediately afterwards, with Bobbi Brown's Soothing Face Tonic, using a cotton ball, and the cotton ball looks clean after I swiped it all over my face. When I'm using other cleansers, there's usually a yellow-brown residue stuck on it (TMI, trust me, I know). Anyways, if you are looking for a cleanser, or even an eye makeup remover, that would take off everything, buy this. Though I said the price for this is a little expensive, it really isn't, because I only use a pea size amount at night a few times a week. Last I checked, it was $20 for an eight ounce bottle. You should definitely check this gem out.
