Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly

This is a product that is good for so many different things. Although I love putting it on my lips before bed after exfoliating, I always put it on my eyelashes. What I do is put some on my eyelid and work it really well into my lash line, and then I'll coat each lash with the vaseline. This really helps your lashes to become moisturized from all that mascara and crap that's on it all day, and it also makes them thicker and stronger. I used to have short, fine blonde lashes but now they are longer and thicker at the roots! Amazing. I usually buy the 2 big tubs from costco. This stuff will last me a decade or more! NO joke.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

LOVE IT. If you have combo or oily skin, do NOT get this! You will most likely hate it. It works sooo well on normal skin because it gives your face a very subtle glow, yet sets your makeup all day!!!! It makes me feel so refreshed and it smells so nice. Sometimes I will put this on my face for a bit of a pick-me-up because I instantly feel hydrated (well, my face does.) I will probably buy it again but it does cost a lot in Canada.

I love this neutral colour. It's a grey/army green colour that looks fabulous and goes with a lot of outfits, IMO. It also stays on for sooo long and I even have a tendency to bite my nails. It's gorgeous! Love wearing it to school or for a night out. Repurchase!!

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory

I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great for brightening up the undereye area. But, it doesn't exactly do much for "highlighting." I find that it settles into the lines under my eyes (which I'm 16 so I didn't think I even had fine lines yet LOL) but it just looks so weird. It was kind of cakey too?! Am I the only one that thinks that? I don't know, but I payed $13 for this in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart, and i thought it was gonna be a great highlighting/brightening concealer, but I was so disappointed. Sadly I will not repurchase. :( Really had high hopes for this.

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
rated 3 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 2/3/2013 1:53:00 PM

First of all, let me just say that I have fair skin with soft yellow undertones, and these concealers are WAY too peachy/orange hued. NC20 looked fine in the bottle, but ocne applied on my skin it looked way to orange against my soft yellow undertones! I was so disappointed with the colour selection. The concealer itself was beautiful though. Covered my pimples and stayed on all day long. It was incredible! I just need to find a way to blend it into my skin, although I think it will be an awesome concealer for the summertime when I'm a bit more tanned, so I'm excited about that! Anywho, I most likely won't repurchase this for the winter/spring months if i ever want to repurchase it in that time period. Although it seems like it will last me a long time because a little goes a superrrr long way. I will update this in the summer of 2013 to tell you all how it holds up on my skin/matches my skin. But at this point in time, i will not repurchase.

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
rated 4 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 2/3/2013 12:05:00 PM

I love the fact that this product doesn't make your face overly powdery or cakey. That's why I hate most setting powders because if it's a setting powder, it's not supposed to have heavy coverage, it's supposed to just lightly set your foundation. This stuff works great with a dewy or satin finish foundation because you can place the MATTE powder wherever you like to be matte on your face, and bam, you will only maybe to touch up at least once throughout the day! I have this in transparent, and it definitely doesn't have much colour, which is awesome. I love wearing this for a natural look also without any foundation for school because it keeps me matte where my shiny areas are, and it doesn't even look like makeup AT ALL. I got this for 6.99 at walmart in Canada, which is a fantastic price for a powder here. I will definitely repurchase. I took off one lippie for the packaging. The lid does not stay on well, especially if you want to touch up your makeup throughout the day and through it in your purse. I just don't want to do that because i'm afraid the lid will fall off and the powder will get over everything.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
rated 5 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 2/3/2013 11:59:00 AM

WOW. This stuff is fantastic! I have naturally curly lashes that are medium-long in length, and this stuff gives me INCREDIBLE volume. Usually since I'm blonde I have to put black eyeliner in my waterline and tightline when wearing black mascara, but not with this stuff! The reason is because this makes my blonde roots look SO naturally thick and dark that I don't even need to wear eyeliner. This makes my lashes so much longer, thicker, and very fluttery, and this holds a curl very well. Although I can't speak for everyone since my eyelashes are naturally curly, I made sure to curl my eyelashes really well and by the time i took this mascara off the super curl I did before was still there and in tact! I bought this probably about 10 months ago, and I HATED it to begin with, but then I just recently tried it again a week ago and I fell in love. I don't exactly know why I hated it hahaha because it's fantastic and definitely deverses the hype it gets. Also, the packaging is everything I like! When you screw the mascara wand back into the bottle, it makes a "click" sound so you know it's sealed tight. The wand is so nice also, and there isn't too much extra product when you take it out of the bottle. I believe i payed around 11-13 dollars for this (Canadian dollars), although I can't remember because it was a while ago. Overall, YES, I will most definitely repurchase this when I'm out!

Foundations -Revlon - Nearly Naked Foundation
rated 4 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 2/1/2013 7:49:00 PM

Shade I have: 120 Vanilla MAC shade: "pale" NC20 (i have soft yellow undertones in my skin and you can really see it in my neck) The main reason why I wanted to buy this foundation was because the shade looked like it would match my skin colour so well. I am SO pleased with this shade and couldn't be any happier. It's seriously like this colour was made for me. It gives such a nice glow to my skin, and just overall brightens up my complexion I feel like. I think it pairs beautifully with the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder (I use transparent) because the glow of the foundation can still shine through, but it doesn't look overly dewy. I have normal skin and I wore this to a 6 hour school day and didn't take it off until 8, and it was still holding up well! I mean, it obviously wasn't perfect, it kind of looked a LITTLE patchy where my acne scars are, but hey, I didn't even use primer, so I'll give it credit. The name of the foundation is true. It is really not noticable that you're wearing foundation. I'm not the kind of girl who likes foundation, since i'm only 16, but since I have a few tiny acne scars and redness around my nose, I thought this would do me good. And I definitely think I'm gonna stick with it the rest of winter/spring. I usually apply this with my hands because i think it looks the most natural, but if I feel like extra coverage, I will stipple it into the skin with a Sephora stippling brush. This foundation has soft yellow undertones, definitely no pink or peach, in my opinion. If you're looking for a SUPER lightweight foundation to cover slight redness or acne scars like me, there's definitely no harm in trying it! I got it for 10.87CAD at walmart. I was actually sooo surprised because most foundations (drugstore) here in canada range from $13-$23 from my experience. Anyways, pick it up if you see your shade! I LOVE this stuff. I will definitely repurchase when needed, if needed. Hah!

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick - Mega Melon
rated 5 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 2/1/2013 7:31:00 PM

ABSOLUTELY in love with this specific colour for the chubby sticks. I like some of the other colours I have but this is by far my favourite everyday one! I'm turning 16 in may and this lipcolour is totally wearable for a girl my age. I just throw this on with some mascara and powder for school and it looks so natural and makes my lips look so much bigger and lush. For me, it's kind of like a "your lips but better" colour because my lips kind of have more red tones than pink tones in them. So this just looks perfect. If your lips are naturally a lighter shade and you want a naturally darker look to them, definitely pick this up. Sooo moisturing and so worth the price.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion
rated 5 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 9/30/2012 9:01:00 PM

I love this mascara. Like, LOVE. It gives me very fluttery, volumized, long lashes with only one, clean coat. It doesn't clump on my lashes whatsoever. As a reference, I have thin, blonde eyelashes. It's hard finding a mascara that doesn't clump or lengthen. But man, this stuff is seriously amazing on me. I seriously can't even believe how gorgeous it looks. It makes the roots of my lashes look SO thick. This mascara is the best of all worlds. I'm so happy i finally found a staple mascara.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 5 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 7/10/2012 9:15:00 PM

I'm just going to cut right to the point --- You cannot go wrong with ANY of these colours. I honestly believe any human being out there of any race, could find at least ONE colour in this collection that would suit their skin tone, or basically just suit them I have strawberry shortcake (gorgeous, creamy, mid-tone pink, definitely not a pale pink, but not a dark pink either, just a very natural looking brightish pink) and creamsicle (glossy nude colour, definitely no pink undertones, more of a soft coral/peachy colour, pretty pale). I can make both of these lip butters work for different occasions. Strawberry shortcake is a perfect everyday pink colour. It will stay on your lips for a long time, without "caking" or settling in to fine lines. Creamsicle is more of a colour I think for when you have a VERY dark blackish smokey eye. Because this colour will definitely make your eyes pop. It is so glossy/creamy and nude. If you like that for everyday wear, definitely check it out. All in all, will definitely repurchase, and I think the next colours I've got my eyes on are tutti fruity, peach parfait, and sweet tart! Those 3 i've had my eyes on for a while. Oh man, I truly love these! :) Will most definitely (without question) repurchase.

BB Cream -Estee Lauder - Daywear BB Anti-Oxidant Beauty Benefit Creme SPF 35
rated 4 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 7/10/2012 8:44:00 PM

I was previously using my Aveeno tinted moisturizer. About a week later, I realized that product breaks me out within 3 hours of wear. Ugh, gross. So, of course, I got into all the hype about BB creams and how they are so good for the summertime. I researched and asked multiple people, and they said BB creams really do melt into your skin (in a good way), whereas foundations just sit on top of your skin, clogging your pores. I find that with foundation, halfway through a hot summer day my face because "patchy" and it literally starts melting off of my face. That is a complete no-no and super unattractive. As I said, BB creams melt into your skin. This is good because you still have the coverage there, but it's not blocking your pores, it's seeking into them. So, the internet and my friends were right, BB cream really is a better option for the summer. Anyways, on to the actual Estée Lauder Daywear BB cream. So, to start off, this is honestly my HG face product for the summer. Here's why. I first apply my moisturizer, then my primer, and then, I apply this BB cream. When I first apply it, it's like silk to me! Absolutely amazing texture. Now, I can't compare this to anything else seeing I have never owned any other BB cream before, but i can tell you, this product really was worth my 45 dollars (CND price). The reason why I took off a lippie for this is because it isn't as moisturizing as I would hope. I have normal skin, so I feel like i do slightly need that moisture. Don't get me wrong, it still does give your skin SOME moisture, but not as much as I would want, sadly. I wore this BB cream for a good 12 hours at an AMUSEMENT park (yes, I went on water rides) and when I got home at 10pm (got at the park at 10am, which actually, I had to leave the house at 8:30am to get there in time) so, basically, it was on my face for 14 hours STRAIGHT. Wow, I cannot believe the staying power of this. I seriously only expected it to last for a good 5 hours, but it lasted me 11 hours. Without touching up or anything. I was stunned. And also, I find that it starts to look more glowy as the day goes on, which is fantastic. I absolutely love this. And will definitely spend another $45 on this. Estée Lauder products really set the bar high for me compared to other companies. I love the way they make their products. The coverage of the BB cream is light, but for some reason, I don't find it very sheer. It definitely won't cover red blemishes COMPLETELY, but that's what concealer is for! It covers my under circles, and my natural redness on my cheeks very nicely. It gives a great, natural, even skin tone look. Love!

Foundations -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation
rated 4 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 7/8/2012 12:52:00 AM

I love everything but ONE thing about this product. PROS: -glides on as smooth as butter -blends into skin so beautiful -natural/dewy finish on my normal skin -hydrates my skin -my skin ACTUALLY looks like skin -doesn't clog pores -spf -hides any redness or acne -doesn't matter what you apply it with, it will still look flawless CONS: -begins to cake within 3 hours (doesn't have good lasting power at all) So the lasting power is seriously only problem. It's really bad for some reason? Even with a primer it'll only last 4 hours on me without it looking incredibly horrible and blotchy. But other than that, fantastic, and well definitely repurchase for special occasions when i'm not out for a long period of time! :)

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Liquid Eyeliner - Black
rated 1 of 5
tabriasmakeuplife 6/20/2012 5:30:00 PM

I can honestly say that I really dislike this product. PROS: -very small, portable CONS: -too watery -doesn't try quick enough -flakes -doesn't last -awkward to put on (the way the brush thing is) It honestly just looks awful. You can't get a super straight line, it's just not flexible. I definitely do not recommend.

This is my HG blush in my makeup bag. It literally is the only NATURAL looking pink blush i can find. I lightly dust it on my cheeks working my way upwards to my temples. Looks gorgeous! I usually don't wear blush but since it's summer i thought I'd give it a try, and i actually really love this and will definitely be wearing it! :) i highly recommend it.
