Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Star Powder
tabithaw 9/30/2004 4:00:00 AM
I have this in #926 which is a lovely shimmery beige that i use to highlight & use as a final step to blend my eyeshadows. i sometimes just use this as a wash and put mascara on. its lovely when the lights hit my eyes.
I think MUFE's packaging for loose eyeshadows are the best so far - a screw top jar with a sifter. which they make the sifter holes smaller though. BUt a really good product. I use so little, a jar really lasts me a long time. Will repurchase if i ever run out of it.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Iridescent Eyeshadow
tabithaw 9/30/2004 3:55:00 AM
This is fantastic product - liquid eyeshadow that are iridescent. I bought #8 which is similar to stila's golightly eyeshadow - a shimmery bronzy green & # 2 which is rose nacre - a lovely pale shimmery pink which works great as a base. #2 turns out much more sheerer than #8.
They go on easily & evenly with a brush. No creasing and they blend fine when i use two liquids together.
Unfortunately i had an adverse reaction to this. My eyes started to swell. So off to the shops for a return.

Blush -Make Up For Ever - Blush Cream
tabithaw 9/30/2004 3:47:00 AM
I bought this in cream blush #2 & #3. These two are more of a highlighter than a blush.
#2 is mainly pink pearl shimmer. very similar to benefit's highbeam but in a cream form. # 3 is similiar to benefits moonbeam - a slightly beige shimmer.
I love the packaging! It comes in a clear case that allows you to see the colour and best of all you can stack them on top of the other cream blushes because the case slides to the side rather than a flip top.
They give a very sheer soft shimmery effect that itsnt over the top. I absolutely love it. Will repurchase.

Blush -Make Up For Ever - Blush Cream #2 Pink Shimmer

This is more of a highlighter than a blush although really fair/pale people might be able to use as a blush.

Pressed Powders -Make Up For Ever - Compact Powder
tabithaw 9/30/2004 3:35:00 AM
I bought this in #4 for my FFF, stila 30 watts skin.
A very fine powder that provides coverage and keeps away my shine. I usually need to touch up because of my shiny nose but with this, I dont really need to.
Comes in a black slim compact with the MUFE words written in white. The compact fits into a black velvet pouch similar to chanel's. I dont like the puff touching the powder. its unhygenic but if there is a separate compartment, the compact might be thicker...oh well the product is good enough to forget about the puff issue. Isnt refillable though...
Will repurchase this.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Lily
tabithaw 9/27/2004 3:32:00 AM
I recently went for a stila makeover event with the intention to try one for these. The ma said this was to replaced the discontinued eyeglazes. Now I hated the eyeglazes cos they creased on my lid within a couple of hours...but this I was pleasantly surprised...
The texture is so light and goes on very soft.Best of all it stays on till the end of the day. Lily is a pretty cool lilac. The colour doesnt show up as very dark lilac. It appears as a sheer shimmer of lilac on my lids. Very pretty!
The ma used this with brush #20 and added the smudge pots at the corners. She mentioned that this was designed to work together with the smudge pots.
On its own, its a pretty, feminie lilac colour. The navy smudged pots smudged at the corner of my eyes caused it to look vampy! A very sexy look. So this works well as a base, a wash or smokey eyes...
Will repurchase this item if i ever run out of it.

Eye Shadow -Stila - High Tea Shadow Quad in Darjeeling Floral
tabithaw 9/27/2004 3:21:00 AM
I bought this ages ago but was very frightened to use it ever since my kitten popped out of its cardboard case and smashed into pieces on the floor...
However, I was going abroad for a few weeks and wanted to downsize my items. So i brought this. This quad of pinks can create so many different eyelooks. However i do have to be careful with the hot pink that is way too bright for my FFF skin.
I remember the ma saying that jeanie wanted to give that bright spring look with this quad. the white is used as a base. the hot pink at the outer corners. then the mauve between the white and pink. Like a graduation of pinks on your eyelids. The plum is for linning your eyes. Off course, one can mix and match the different colours to one's mood...
But aside from using this as an eyeshadow...I find it works great as a blush. Yes a blush! You can mix the different pinks together to get the look you want. The white shade serves as a highlighter or to dampened a too bright pink colour you mixed. Best of all, its so pigmented and stays long on my cheeks!

Blush -Stila - Rouge Pot Lotus
tabithaw 9/27/2004 3:13:00 AM
I recently went for a stila makeover event with the intention to try one for these. The texture is so light and non-greasy. Yet the colour goes on fairly pigmented and stays on and true till the end of the day.
Lotus- looked so natural on me, a FFF with dark brown eyes & hair. A rosy flush that comes from within. I suspect this would look lovely on brides who want that "blushing bride" look.
I know many are having trouble removing the product from the really tiny jar opening so I voiced this complain to the international makeup artist. Her reply was..."Use the brush #24, it works amazingly with the rouge pots." Its true. the smaller version of #21 on #24 fits nicely into the opening of the jar and helps to blend the blush on your cheeks!

Eye Shadow -Giorgio Armani - Eyeshadow #45
tabithaw 9/27/2004 2:59:00 AM
This was my most anticipated armani eyeshadow for the limited edition fall collection. I had been looking for a gold eyeshadow for ages and when I found out armani was coming out with one for fall, I promptly ordered it. Such a total disappointment.
When I first received it, my heart didnt flip-flop as usual. The colour looked remarkable like # 9. But I thought that the extra shimmer I saw on the surface would be different. A couple more swips and the shimmer on the surface disappeared and # 9 appeared! Both eyeshadows looks exactly the same on my FFF skin! I felt so disappointed. Not to mention cheated! I should have spend my money on #37 which I had been lemming so long. Bottom lined: Dont bother with this if you have #9.

Lip Gloss -Perfumeria Gal - Fragranced lip balm
tabithaw 9/25/2004 1:33:00 PM
A really huge tub of lip gloss that moisturises the lips-leaves them soft! and not sticky like some balms (kiehl's). the fragrance isnt overpowering for some of them (i could only stand the spermint & red current ones-the rest were too strong) & the smell does go off very quickly. Only thing i find a hassle is using my fingers on the balm - so unhygenic - so i carry a lip brush with me, just for use with this baby.

Blush -Perfumeria Gal - Colorette
tabithaw 9/25/2004 1:26:00 PM
I had been eyeing this item at mecca cosmetics but was unwilling to pay AUD$25 for such a small product.
however, firstly, the cute tins they come in are to die for. There is even a small mirror inside the cover. The puff that comes with this is much tooo thin to be of any used. But the items are so verstile & can double as highlighters/eyeshadows/bronzers which is good for reducing your items when travelling!
I bought this in Raspberry,a matte red in the pan. But its a very natural rosy flush for my FFF skin. Its pretty pigmented so i only dab my brush on the product & its enough for both my cheeks. There is a raspberry scent which isnt very strong or noticeable (only when i smell the product from the tin, not on my face).
I also have this in violet.there is a lovely violet scent when you first open the tin but it disappears on your skin.In the pan its a scary purple colour. On my skin, it somehow looks pink! I use this as an eyeshadow as well.
I am going back to purchase the other colours in Rose (a ballerina pink-which gives my Shu M33C a run for its money), Beige (a shimmery beige - which would work as a highlighter or eyeshadow or on top of the raspberrry to add shimmer), Indiana (a brown -which would work wonders as a bronzer for contouring & an eyeshadow)and another Raspberry & violet.Still debating on the Tangerine cos its a very pigmented shimmery bright orange...
bottom line : go get 1 of these. so worth their money!!!

Lip Gloss -Giorgio Armani - Lip Shimmer #6
tabithaw 9/25/2004 1:14:00 PM
Superb lip glosses that go on like a dream and leave your lips looking luscious! Love the lipbrush form that the lip shimmers come in. This red makes my lips look like I had been throughly kissed! A wet, cranberry look that works well at night with just a neutral shimmery eyeshadow and lined eyes. Reminds me of those classic looks popular in the 1940s. It doubles as a lipstick & with that brush i dont bother linning my lips. Leaves a slight stain when the gloss weears off. Will most definitely repurchse this. This is different from the lip gloss #5, which is a orangey red, while this is a true blue red.
