When I put this on in the morning, my skin looks amazing - more luminous and radiant than it ever really is. Between then and lunch time, the luminosity fades and my skin looks fine, but no longer amazing - which is fine, because I don't really expect amazing from my foundation, just an evening out of skin tone and decent coverage. So, in short, it's perfectly serviceable foundation, but I'm going to continue my search for a HG foundation.

I have super oily lids and nothing keeps my eyeliner on for more than a few hours. Usually, even with UD primer or Too Faced primer, it ends up a faint line or smudge by the end of my work day. This keeps my liner on the whole time!

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Purse Brush Set

I love this. The brush case comes with a foam lining that keeps the brushes in snugly. I took the foam out of both halves so that I can also fit a retractable lipstick brush in it. The brushes hold up pretty well - better than you'd necessarily expect for the price (sometimes the powder brush sheds a little, but otherwise I haven't had much problem) and the case and the brushes are very compact. Between this set (and my modification/additions) and my magnetic palette, I have all the makeup I need after the gym (or when I'm late getting to work) in my purse and it all takes up less than an inch of depth!

This stuff lasts ALL DAY. Ok, not through a super greasy lunch, but through, say, a sandwich lunch? Definitely. I love that I can put it on in the morning and not have to think about it until time for me to leave work and go out. My lips don't look cakey dry or anything either. Fantastic and totally worth the money, because I actually really wear less of it that I would if I had to reapply.

Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Intense Mascara

This makes my lashes suuuuper long. It's not especially volumizing, but more so than Benefit's They're Real. On my tiny Asian lashes, though, every itsy bit helps. It's not the most natural looking lash, but given that my natural lashes are invisible, that's ok.

This doesn't go on nearly as opaquely as I would like. While it goes on black, it really does look like I used a felt tip crayola marker - not a heavy, solid black but a sort of watery black. At least it was cheap - ?

I'm relatively new to eyeliners - and to eye makeup in general. So, I wasn't sure if it was me and faulty application or the eyeliner that was causing problems until I read these reviews (which, of course, I should have done before purchasing, I know). This *does* flake off and my eyes get irritated every single time I wear it. The color is a very saturated black and I had no problems with it going on smoothly. I won't repurchase it, which is a shame, because now I need to go hunt for yet another eyeliner. Sigh.

Why do I let make up ladies talk me into things that I KNOW I shouldn't buy? Of course, right after she put the foundation on me, it looked great. And, of course, $60 poorer and a few hours later, I looked in the mirror and realized that this is not a product with much lasting power. This is a product for someone with skin that doesn't get shiny on the forehead and nose. This is a product that costs $60, gives medium coverage, and kind of melts/slides off oily spots. WHY do I let them talk me into these things??

Powder -Palladio - Wet/Dry foundation

This stuff is great! And cheap (which makes it even more great)! I think ideally it is for combination-oily skin like mine; some have complained that it makes their skin feel tight, but for me, that feeling lasts very, very briefly. It gives light (dry) to medium (wet) coverage, and is portage. I don't look messy in the middle of the day. I don't need any big touch ups. I'm not usually a drug store makeup buyer, because there is a sephora across the street from me and several department stores closer to me than the nearest drug store - but I like this better than the Dior Airflash I recently bought, by far!

Mascara -Hourglass - Film Noir Full Spectrum

Love this. It lengthens my (tiny) lashes, while keeping them soft. On my tiny lashes, it basically looks like I have naturally slightly longer normal lashes, I guess. I haven't had a raccoon eyes problem with it either. The brush is smaller than most, which I think is great, because I'm less likely to get mascara on my lids and more likely to put mascara on my bottom lashes, where large brushes generally just make a mess. Admittedly, it's not cheap but I like it better than any of the other mascaras I've tried at sephora (which might be all of them, because it's across the street from my office).

Treatments -Ole Henriksen - roll on blemish attack

While I like the ingredients, I'm not finding the product as effective as the DDF benzoyl peroxide/tea tree cream. Also, the roll on is pretty ineffective. The product doesn't come out very well and I eventually just removed the roller ball and used my fingers.

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Tinted Brow Gel in Granite

I will be the lone dissenter on this product. It's ok, but I find that the gel is a little goopy, so it's a little hard to control the amount going on my brows. I bought it thinking that it would be quicker than the powder/wax combos I usually use, but given the care I have to take to avoid potential mess, I don't think I'm really saving any time.

I bought this to replace a Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, more or less because I could get sephora points for the smashbox version. The color (bronze) is very similar to the espresso that I had in the Bobbi Brown and it lasts on my lid MUCH longer. I wore it ALL DAY yesterday - no touch ups, no smudging. Lovely! And the pot will last forever.

I tried this on in the store, loved the color, bought it and then went out to dinner. By the time I got home that night, it had almost entirely worn off. :(
