I bought this at Rite-Aid for $7 which I think is a pretty decent price..I used it this evening on my arms just to try it out and although I'm not extremely impressed, I'm not disappointed either. I warmed the strips with my blow dryer and I followed the instructions carefully. The results are decent, it took out most of the hair (with the exception of some red bumps and stubble like marks) and I was able to use a single strip a few times. It came with 14 small strips I believe and 4 big ones...I recommend this product..it's pretty decent but I personally won't be buying it again because of the fact that the strips are quite small and I had to use half the small strips in this one use. I heard Veet is quite good ~ and as for the wax residue that other reviewers commented on, I didn't have a problem with it. I poured some of the blue liquid it comes with on a cotton pad and wiped it over my arms after and it took all the left over wax off :)
Like with all the other reviewers I must say that the color is SO GORGEOUS! It's a really pretty mint color but also like all the other reviewers I have to agree that this nail polish is too hard to work with. When you put on the first coat it streaks like crazy and it doesn't help to glop on a lot on your nail and then try to even it out because it bubbles and even if you let your nails dry for hours you can peel off all the polish in one big piece! I have other Revlon nail polishes and love them all dearly. The formula is nothing like this one, they all go on easily and effortlessly. The wear on Revlon nail polishes are pretty decent, they don't chip easily and hold up pretty well for a drugstore polish. The only problem is this one color doesn't like cooperating. It's just too bad that this color is so hard to use otherwise it'd be the perfect nail polish. I don't think it's just Minted that has this problem though, I have other mint color nail polishes from OPI, Essie, Red Earth, and Anna Sui and they all have a streaky runny problem...could it be something in the formula of minty green/blue polishes that cause for a thin streaky effect? All in all though this is a great cheap alternative to some of the higher end nail polishes if you aren't that picky and a perfectionist :)
Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control

I really wanted to like this product. I read so many good reviews on it here and I was so excited to try it. The only thing is...I don't think it does anything it's advertised for. I used to not have any blemishes on my face at all but after using it for a month there are difficult spots on my forehead, cheek, and jaw line that I can't get rid of. Not to mention I don't see any improvements on my blackheads and I don't seem to get that "clean" feeling afterwards that everyones talking about ): On the plus side, it smells good!
Lip Treatments -Blistex - Raspberry Lemonade Blast with SPF 15

THIS SHIT SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES IMMEDIATELY. I have NO CLUE WHAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT. The scent and taste is DISGUSTING. Way too sugary sweet and the nasty greasey film that goes on your lips from it is horrible. This thing is utter crap. Not worth even ONE PENNY. So disappointed with Blistex. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!!
Lip Treatments -J. R. Watkins - Natural Beeswax Lip Balm

Burt's Bees is really good and I saw this which is seemingly the same.. but cheaper so I bought this one instead when I ran out. The consistency is thick and creamy which I love. None of that filmy greasy feeling most Blistex products have. There is a cool minty feeling once you apply it and it makes your lips so soft and supple. The only down side was that the little "safety seal" sticker was sooo hard to peel off. Other than that, this lip balm is a great alternative for the more expensive Hemp one from the Body Shop!
i've been meaning to try dry shampoo for a while but couldn't find any at my local drugstores and didn't want to fork out a lot of money for the ones at sephora -- this one is CHEAP which is a big plus and the smell is pleasing. i wouldn't replace shampooing your hair with this but it's a great product to have for when you're in a rush and your roots are looking greasy. i don't know why this has such low ratings.. it's a pretty good product! it doesn't leave your hair wet and the product itself isn't wet.. hence the name DRY SHAMPOO! you just have to shake it "vigorously" as the can says. the only down side is it makes my hair color kind of dull but it's better than having greasy hair imo =)
Conditioner -Aveeno - Nourish + Moisturize Conditioner

I bought this conditioner alone without buying the matching shampoo and when I first used it I didn't think there was any difference but after blow drying my hair I was amazed by the results. My hair has never been so soft and shiny! I have bleached and colored hair that started looking dull but this conditioner revived the color instantly in just one use, I'm so amazed. I find the bottle is really cute, long and slender, it's really different from other bottles on the market. It's eye catching and the colors and pleasing to the eye. The scent is really nice. I don't know how to describe it but it's not very strong. I'd say it smells fresh like the outside hahaha if that's a way to describe a smell. Don't worry haha it's good. The price is a little high for a drugstore product though, I paid $10 for it and it's less than 400 ml but I think it's totally worth it! =) Definitely try it out!
I felt so weird when I went to pay at the cash register for this stuff because I was buying it for the purpose of a lip balm but this stuff works SO well. It tastes funny but I understand because it's not made for your lips. If you apply too much and you start talking...it ends up a white goop on the corners of your mouth so I only use it at night before bed. When I wake up, my lips are so soft and supple they feel so kissable! =) I find that it changes my lip colour...I don't know if anyone else has this happen to them but my lips turn to a really really pretty baby pink colour after it sinks in which I love. I'd buy this again but I don't think I have to for at least a few years. The price is on the high side I'd say but it'll last you for ages. Overall fantastic product for your lips, so I assume it works wonders for it's intended purpose as well!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Hemp lip conditioner (stick)
swtxfi 2/14/2010 11:49:00 PM
THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. I admit I wanted to try it because it's made from hemp hahah but this stuff truly works. It's colourless and has a distinct smell that I find pleasing. After applying it to your lips, there's a thick coat of this stuff on them which makes them feel instantly moisturized and the dry patches disappear. I'm a lip balm junkie and have tried nearly every kind out on the market...I'd say this works just as well as Vaseline and Burt's Bees if not better. The thick consistency made me give this 5 lippies because I hate lip balms that make your lips feel oily and don't do anything like Soft Lips and some Blistex products. I never buy a lip balm twice so I can try them all...but I would actually get this one again!
Scrubs -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub
swtxfi 2/14/2010 11:39:00 PM
I use this in the shower and after I come out, my face feels SOOOOO soft it's amazing. My pores feel clean and my face doesn't get dried out. I got this one out of the whole line because I personally feel that products with the microbeads clean better, I'm not sure if it does but I'm happy with the results! I don't think it helps with existing acne much but the limited traces of salicylic acid in it I'm sure will help prevent new pimples. It smells sweet of apricots or mangoes and the scrublet was a nice idea. I don't think it does anything though because the silicon is so soft it can't exfoliate any better than your fingers. I wouldn't buy this again because I'm always on the look out for the next best cleanser but I'd recommend it just for the soft soft soft soft soft soft supple skin you'll have after! Like a baby's butt no joke.
THIS STUFF IS AMAZING this is perfume mixes with my natural scent really well and smells sooo good! It's sweet & fruity and the packaging is SO cute. I had to save up a lot to get this though...the price tag is expensive imo so I probably won't get it again unless it goes on sale BUT I DON'T REGRET GETTING THIS AT ALL! I bought the set that came with the body lotion which isn't that amazing but also smells sooo good. The only reason why I wouldn't recommend this is because I don't want others to smell as amazing as me hahaha xD
I've been using this product for a little over 2 weeks now, applying it in the morning before mascara / at night on bare lashes before sleeping and I HAVE noticed growth in my lashes! The results aren't amazing but I didn't expect much from a drugstore product in the first place. The serum imo lengthens but it doesn't thicken like the package said it would. I don't regret getting this because for the most part it did give some results but not enough for me. I wouldn't buy this again but I think if I stop using it my lashes will go back to how they used to be ): that's a downer but overall, there's no harm in trying something new! It's a fun product...kind of like a chia pet hahahaha ...getting to watch your lashes grow BUT it does sting a tad for a few seconds when applying and the applicator would be more effective if it was in a mascara wand form! :)
