I have mixed feelings about this perfume. When I first got it during the summer, I really loved it. Even though the lasting power is not too strong, it's still decent. I would say three to four hours. The packaging is totally cute and unique, which I love, because I am just a sucker for cute packaging. Another thing that I like about it is that, it is one of the pretty nice smelling perfume that you know other people will not be offended by it or be repeated everywhere that you go unlike the D&G Light Blue (even though it smells great, but everyone is wearing it, making it less unique.) However, after a few months now, I kind of got sick of the scent. I bought a 3.4 fl oz (100mL) bottle for $45. I am only 1/3 done, and I already got sick of it, so may be buying it in a smaller bottle will help. I will pick it up again after a few months or something. May be my feelings towards it would have changed
PROS: -Excellent stay-on power -Medium coverage on blemishes, so when I have small pimples here and there on my face, it covers really well -Feels lightweight (not heavy and makes my face feels suffocating) CONS: -It's expensive I have used it daily for two weeks now. I have no problems with it. In fact, I think it helps improve my skin. It definitely worth the $56. I am a pale-skin Asian. At first, I thought Ivoire (14) will fit me, but turns out, I am a Porcelain (02). Ivoire is too yellow-ish. Porcelaine fits me perfect with my slightly pink undertone.
Cleansers -Boscia - MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil
swtwinniebear 1/5/2011 4:07:00 PM
PROS: Can easily remove the toughest waterproof makeup easily CONS: Takes a long time for me to remove the oiliness from my eyelids Makes me develop a dry white patch on my eyelids the next day I do not know what I am allergic to in this product, my guess is the mineral oil, but I would always develop a small dry white patch on my eyelids the next day all the time after I use this cleanser even if I put eye cream on after I wash the product off with water thorougly. However, I think it is excellent in removing any sort of tough waterproof make up that you have including the 1 Day Tattoo Gel Eyeliner, which is pretty amazing.
Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Foundation Brush
swtwinniebear 1/5/2011 4:02:00 PM
PROS: -Thick dense hair in the brush -Do not shed after washing -Soft and can touch every corner of my face, allowing liquid foundation to be spread with even coverage CONS: None I like this brush, and I honestly do not think it is different from the benefit foundation brush or the Sephora foundation brush from the I.T. Professional line that I have, and this is half of the price, making it better
Moisturizers -Sana - NAMERAKA Honpo Soy Milk Lotion
swtwinniebear 1/5/2011 3:39:00 PM
PROS: Great Moisturizer for all weather. It is not too thick for the summer, and it is not too light for the winter. If the weather gets drier, I can just lay another layer of more moisturized, and thicker cream on top and my face will not feel too congested or over done. It is very reasonably priced. I got this at a japanese market for $8 (USD). You do not need to use a lot each time, so if you are on a budget. This is definitely the moisturizer you should not skip out on. CONS: None! I also have the toner and cream from the same line, but this moisturizer makes me happy the most.
PROS: -Absorb oil pretty well on my T-Zone area, so it definitely helps in reducing the shine on my face when I check in the mirror in the middle of the day -Fits my skin tone really well, and a little amount of product goes a long way -Does not make my skin break out with some coverage power CONS: -Light coverage -OK stay-on power I am generally pretty happy with this product, however, I have not tried many foundation powder before. The only other ones that I have tried are mineral foundation powder from Bare Escentuals, which I actually do not like too much, and mineral foundation powder from Maybelline, which makes my skin breaks out. I like it because it matches my skin tone really well. It does not bother me that it has light coverage because I do not have really bad break out skin, so as long as it evens out my skin tone without me looking like ghostly white or unnatural, I am happy with it.
Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Lips Diamond - April
swtwinniebear 1/5/2011 2:05:00 PM
PROS: It HEALS my cracked dry lips and give me a nice sheer sparkly pink color. Great stay-on power Smell and taste good. =D CONS: It is a little too sticky, so when the wind blows the hair into my face, some of my hair might be stuck to my lips. I am overall pretty satisfied with the product. I absolutely love this lip gloss. The only thing that makes it less versatile is that it might not be a good color for everyday use since it might be too sparkly, but I really love how it heals my cracked lips, so I still give it a rating of 5
Mascara -100 Percent Pure - Fruit Pigmented ultra lengthening mascara
swtwinniebear 1/5/2011 1:56:00 PM
Pros: -100 percent natural ingredients - The black tea, and blue berry look really natural on me after it is applied. - It does not clump on my lashes and it is easy to remove at the end of the day Cons: -A few of my lashes fall out every single time I use it, so I stop. It might be a personal thing because my friend who also uses it, absolutely loves it, and thinks that it even nourishes her lashes from harsh chemicals -It does smudge and leaves me with a light shade of dark blue/black after a few hours of wearing Overall, it is a great natural mascara. At least, the best I have ever tried, but I would not purchase again because it does not fit me. It makes me have lashes fall out. I have no problem with the price though because after all it is 100% organic.
This is one of my all time favorite lip products. I go to school in upstate New York, in which winter is majority of the year, so this is one of my stables. Whenever I have cracked lips, I would apply this when I go to sleep, when I wake up, my lips will be healed. I definitely recommend this product for anyone who live in dry weather.
