the color applied a lot lighter/more sheerly than i wanted when i tested-so i dug out my old chanel black satin and layered it over black - awesome dark shimmery green color. also looks awesome over essie mesmerized (a french blue). also looks nice with several coats on its own, but def a little brighter than the bottle looks.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil

I LOVEEE this product. After years of experimentation its in my extremely streamlined HG routine. I buy the small size, it last a very long time. I spray my fine long hair with Elnett and then put my palm on the top of the moroccan oil bottole, tip the moroccan oil upside down and right side up and use what is on my palm. Rub palms together and rub on length of hair. Blow dry and repeat Moroccan oil process. My hair is shiny, layers look great, and very smooth. Perfect!!!

Treatments (Eye) -DDF - Erase Eye Gel
rated 1 of 5
sweetpea1283 2/11/2010 12:12:00 PM

UPDATE: After using this product more consistently I don't like it anymore :( It did indeed fill in my thin skinned under eye area, but over time almost made the area puffy, to the other extreme! It is annoying bc i used it the night before my wedding and my eyes do not look good (to me) in my photos. :,,,( They look fine when i'm not smiling but in the smiling photos its too much skin under my eye and it makes my eyes look smaller and squnity. SO ANNOYING. curse you DDF. Based on long term use i would not recommend. _______________________________ Before I write this review, knock on wood... So far, so very very good!!! I received a free sample from sephora with a recent order, so I can't comment on the packaging. As far as price, I can't comment either except to say I've been using a teeny tiny amount and having great results, so the formula appears to be very concentrated. My under eye circles are the type that are not only dark, but are sunken in. I'm 26 and don't have many wrinkles and don't have puffiness. The problem I usually have with my circles is that they are so dark, even when I cover them up with concealer, you can still see darkness through, AND the area is still sunken it. Which to me is even more exaggerated because I have high cheekbones, so you can really see the sunken in area. In the past I have even considered getting a filler injected under my eyes because my wedding is coming up and the sunken in look is so annoying. Except I'm kind of anti/afraid of getting anything done to my face! This product worked darn near magic. I've used the eye erase treatment maybe 4 days now, and the sunken in area has filled in and looks totally amazing and smooth. Also my circles are not as dark (which I think is because my skin is so thin and sunken, the circles show through darker, and whatever the cream is doing is firming/filling the area so the circles don't show through as much)... I'm actually shocked that a cream is having this dramatic of an effect. I would definitely classify this as a treatment, as it is not moisturizing and I still use an eye cream on top of it (Bobbi Brown, just her basic moisturizing one)... But if you like me have been looking for 15 years for a way to fill in a thin skinned under eye area, look no further. Knock on wood again because it's only been 4 days, but this product is darn near miraculous.

Other -Unlisted Brand - MARVIS TOOTHPASTE Strong Mint

It's mint toothpaste. Should cost $3. I was out of toothpaste and needed some asap so I grabbed this from a cute little boutique for $11. So not worth it. Next time will walk the extra 3 blocks to cvs.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Lash
rated 3 of 5
sweetpea1283 4/14/2009 12:11:00 PM

This should be called "Good Gal Lash." (Or maybe I have loose moral?! It sure didn't look bad girl to me!!!) I tried it expecting something rocking, dark, dramatic, badass... and no... It's okay, but let's just say i use it as my work mascara now. (And i work in a conservative office). It does give mild volume, slight length, and has a nice soft black look. Perfect for daytime polished looking mascara. I got it as a sephora insiders gift with 100 points, probably won't repurchase. Will stick with my staples YSL volume and Lash Blash dark black.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
sweetpea1283 4/14/2009 11:56:00 AM

Wow - I am in awe of this products amazing powers!!!! I have heard about UDPP for years around here and god knows why i didn't buy it sooner. I've never been an "eyeshadow person" so I never got it. (duh, the reason I've never been an eyeshadow person is exactly why I should have bought this years ago!!!!) I've always suffered from oily eyelids - to the extreme that 5 min after eyeshadow application it creased, 30 min after it looked embarassing, and 2 hours later it was a greasy ugly smear. I'm talking bad. This stuff ROCKS... for the first time in my life i can apply eyeshadow and it looks like it's supposed to look, not only 5 or 30 minutes later, but 12, 15 hours later!!!!!!!!!! :-o!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy it now!!!!! Buy buy buy!!!!!!!!!

Polishes -Essie - Long Stem Roses
rated 5 of 5
sweetpea1283 3/7/2009 12:24:00 AM

This is my favorite red. I live in sunshine year round so i normally have a tan and this looks great with a tan. It almost has properties of coral but it's not coral, or pink but it's not pink... can't quite describe it and not sure why but its super "bright" - it's almost solo cup red, in a good way. Anyways the color is IMO a youthful fun red, not a dramatic serious red. Love it for mani or pedi or better yet both :) And it goes without saying in my book, essie np is great as far as all non color related qualities.

I got this with my sephora "points" at checkout (large sample size) - I love it. It is a very nice sexy but not too obvious or strong night fragrance. i like something subtle and this was really a winner for me.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Aqualumiere Gloss Candy Glow
rated 4 of 5
sweetpea1283 7/24/2008 10:34:00 AM

This gloss had me at hello. It has a great brush applicator (always a huge plus in my book). The texture is a thick moisturizing kissable gloss, aka not a sticky icky glue-like gloss and not a thin slippery gloss. Good medium. Lasts decently long to not dissappoint. Doesn't last "forever" - but really what's the fun of owning a $30 lipgloss if you can't reapply in public? ;) This specific color i love. It is a hybrid pink/peach that is very flattering and can match pink or peach toned rest-of-the-face makeup. I also love the overall look of the gloss, its very modernistic and chic looking.

Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
rated 5 of 5
sweetpea1283 7/10/2008 11:06:00 AM

My one true love, the HG you have been looking for! This puts all other makeup removers to shame. It's a balm which you scrape a little out, rub it around in your hands until its clear and oily, rub it around on your eyes/face for about 20 seconds, rinse, and BAM clear face! Everything is gone - gel liners, waterproof mascaras, heavy going out makeup every-every-everything. Then I normally follow up with a regular cleanser if i had a lot of makeup on, just to remove all residue. So highly recommended, please go buy this and put away all those liquids and cotton pads and rubbing, no more! TIP - only apply with dry hands. if you get water in the tub, it turns white and mushy and gets a bad texture. still works but i find i have to use more if it to work if it gets wet. if it doesn't get wet the tub lasts a super long time so def getting a lot of product/use for the price.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Waterproof
rated 4 of 5
sweetpea1283 7/10/2008 10:58:00 AM

If you are looking for something waterproof look no further! This stuff does not budge one bit!!! I put it on at 8am the morning of my sister's wedding (with bobbi brown black eyeliner gel) and after a day of tears and pictures and a night of celebrating and drinking, i woke up the next day after falling asleep with my makeup on and... still looked fresh!!! it was insane, i normally get smudgies by like 3pm with regular mascara. I got the color "very black" - nice color, very intense. This is not a super volumizing formula as far as i'm concerned but i curled my lashes and applied two coats, and was very happy with the look. Lengthening and slightly volumizing, and held the curled shape all day too. HUGE TIP - i noticed many complain its difficult to fully remove. please try my HG! Clinique Take the Day off Balm. It's amazing and will change your life. Very simple, requires no cotton or tugging, and makeup (even this) slides right off :)

Self Tanners -Clarins - Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint
rated 5 of 5
sweetpea1283 7/5/2008 3:01:00 PM

This product is amazing for me! People who are saying that it is leaving them orange - perhaps they are complaining about the instant bronzer? I personally like the tint because i know i have applied it evenly. Apply it 30 min before you go to bed, and when you wake up rinse the tint off and you're left with a really really great natural tan color. Oh and an application note, it literally is a liquid like water, apply with a big cotton ball after moisturizer and it works like a charm. My new HG face tanner!

Concealers -Physicians Formula - Concealer Stick in yellow
rated 4 of 5
sweetpea1283 7/5/2008 2:55:00 PM

I have genetically very dark blueish circles from thin skin under my eyes. This is an amazing product if that is your condition. It is opaque and really lightens the area! I spread it on like a lipstick, let is sit for a minute, then pat in, then apply normal concealer over it. It is a great base to really lighten up the circles. Highly rec!

Masks -Pangea Organics - Facial Mask - Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry
rated 5 of 5
sweetpea1283 12/17/2007 12:14:00 PM

I think this mask works outstanding. It exfoliates and leaves my skin glowing and smooth as a baby's. It is pretty expensive for a small jar, but with suggested use once a week, I expect it will last a long time. Recommended.

Fragrances -Sonia Rykiel - Belle En Rykiel
rated 5 of 5
sweetpea1283 12/13/2007 12:52:00 PM

I was at the Nordstrom cosmetics counter and from across the aisle this bottle caught my eye, beautiful and i had never seen it before. I tried a spritz in the air and it smelled amazing, so i spritzed the skin. I loved it. I am not a fragrance connoisseur so I basically know nothing about notes. What I would describe it as is a warm, sexy, intriguing scent. I would say it is wearable day or night. I have never smelled anything like it. It is not overpowering, like you are going to walk by and announce your scent to the world. It is a perfect level of being smellable and "there" though, not too weak. Just right, subtle and smells fantastic.
