I somehow came across a sample of this somewhere, I think when i bought another product it came free... Regardless - I'm so glad I tried it because this moisturizer is FANASTIC! I can't understand why this product is getting so many negative reviews... the lotion isn't heavy or greasy, and it contains SPF which is a big plus and it's not all stringy like a lot of SPF moisturizers can be...it's fantastic for my super oily skin, and since using this with CVS make-up remover and cleanser towelettes, my skin has been super smooth, sexy and hasn't turned into an oil slick at all - seriously - i don't even have oily skin anymore (knock on wood : ) and my blackheads have just about disappeared... i would give it a try...you might like it - i did : )

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Clear

Love this product as a brow shaper, and it's much easier to carry around than hair gel - so if i'm ever caught in an emergency - i just smear a bit on my hand off the applicator and style fix my hair as needed (helps for those really really super humid days on my out of control curly hair)...anyway you can't beat the price for what it is, and it's great to wear during beach and pool days when you don't want to run the risk of raccoon eyes but still want to appear wide eyed and awake!!! Love it love it love it!

Foundations -E.L.F. - All Over Cover Stick in Fair
rated 4 of 5
sweetcherrie14 8/31/2008 11:10:00 AM

while I would HARDLY ever use this for a regular foundation unless I was only going out for an hour or so, I think this stuff is FANTASTIC as a cover-up for zits, blemishes, red-marks, etc. Yes - the coverage is definitely heavy, and I believe it does have mineral oil in it (but don't quote me on that), so oily skinned girls beware...but like i said - a completely effective weapon for covering up zits and dark under eye circles - just make sure to set with powder so it doesn't melt off (haven't seen if it melts off yet, but i dont really want to find out)...The tube is pretty handy, except I could see if you left this in the sun it would easily melt all over the place... Excellent price, and I would deem it an excellent product from E.L.F.

Cleansers -La Vitton - Laventine - Olive Forte Cleansing Oil

Listen up all my fellow oily-skinned girls! If you are on the fence about this product, I can assure you that if you jump off and take the plunge you will not be disappointed!!! I've used this stuff for about 3 years now, buying it after reading the first couple of reviews written on it on MUA...I purchased, and used it beautifully as a make-up remover...But I was totally unconvinced that I could use this as a facial cleanser because I was oily-skinned...I mean - for goodness sakes, this is essentially a bottle of olive oil that I'm smearing all over my skin - how can it not make things worse? But after trying it, I realized that this stuff is a miracle! This will actually reduce the amount of oil your face has, and in fact, after rediscovering this product a few weeks ago (and by rediscovering i mean that i stopped only using this for makeup removal and let it work to it's full potential as an actual cleanser), and boy did i see results in just the first night... The stuff is all natural, the squeeze pump is really easy to control, they give you a generous amount for the 25 bucks you spend on it - what could be better? I basically squirt a bit onto a cotton ball to swab all of my eye and face makeup off, and then use a bit more (without washing my face in between - it's very important that you DO NOT expose water to your skin until you are ready to rinse the stuff off) all over my face - i rub it into my pores, my t-zone, my chin - massage it in... After about 30 seconds of that, i rinse it off in lukewarm water, and viola! Clear, beautiful skin that hardly needs to be blotted at all during the day when i'm wearing makeup... IMO - Give it a try - you won't be sorry you did!!!!! And if you're looking for something cheaper to start off with - I've heard their lavender complexion soaps are really good - you can read the reviews if you like! (I'll be purchasing those once I run out of this stuff : )

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel

Been on the hunt for this stuff ever since I read the rave reviews here at MUA, but it took me a while to come across a tube(either the hype is catching on, or this product is difficult to find) Nevertheless, as most of the reviews on here state, this product works wonderfully! Since i started washing my face, no amount of cleanser, exfoliator and moisturizer, cheap or expensive, could get rid of my oilies... If i had known I only had to go an aisle over to get this stuff, I would have done it a long time ago! I just dab a little bit of this on wherever I need oil control - my nose and my cheeks are the true test of whether an oil control product works or not...and I'm happy to report that this one did! NO oil was on my face by the end of the day...seriously amazing...i didn't have to blot or powder and my skin looked as fresh as it did when i started putting on my foundation (i used this with liquid- i noticed a lot of peple using this with MMU) I'm seeing some from reviews that about 1/4 - 1/2 have broken out because of this product, so I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't happen, because truly - this product is a god-send!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
sweetcherrie14 8/3/2008 1:27:00 AM

I can't believe this product has such horrible reviews... I'm light-skinned - a NW15 according to MAC...I purchased this product one shade darker than I should have (NW20) and thought initially that this product wouldn't work for me, but I was wrong - after switching up my color to something that DID work for me, I have found that this makeup is fantastic... It leaves you with a matte finish, a little does go a long way, and applied with a MAC 187 brush, it gives me movie star looking skin...i would absolutley buy again, and find the packaging a little difficult to manage, but the way i use it is to take a cotton swab, pull off all of the cotton at one end, so you're just left with the stick, stick it into your foundation bottle and drop the liquid you pulled out onto the back of a CD (i use the back of CD's as makeup palettes - i saw it on youtube : ), after that - a little dab with my 187, blending, set with powder and you're good to go...i took off a lippie b/c of the price even though a little lasts you a long time, it's still a hefty price to look at while you're in the store. see if you can go with a sample of this stuff first, that way you can test it out...other than that - i would proclaim this my HG foundation.

Foundations -Shiseido - The Makeup Compact Foundation
rated 4 of 5
sweetcherrie14 7/14/2008 10:00:00 AM

I have combination skin, but in the summer it starts off dry on my cheeks and forehead, and oily on my t-zone and it pretty much stays that way all day...in the winter my skin is extremley dry all over (and just to put it out there - i haven't tried this product in the winter yet)... So far, I think this product is great -I think the coverage is excellent - I basically wet the sponge with water, squeeze out the excess, swipe the foundation, and then apply and buff all over my face...I like that you can choose what coverage you want basically by how much water you add to the sponge before application. If usually carry a loose powder with me during the day, so with 1 - 2 trips in the bathroom to touch myself up - it stays pretty well... it pretty much covers my dry and oily bases since the foundation is creamy, yet still retains that substance of a powdery foundation...I would repurchase, because it works for my summer skin, but i have a feeling that it would be WAY too drying for me in the winter... All in all - good product, and i like the fact that when you go to repurchase, you don't have to buy the entire compact - you can just buy the foundation refill itself to put in the compact for $7.50 and you can also buy a new sponge for something like 5 bucks (extra points for thinking about the hygenics)...

Blush -MAC - Fleurry

Fantastic Color - I got this at a cosmetics discount store, for about 75% off the regular price, and I'm glad that I did - it's a mix between my two favorite blushes - NARS Orgasm and Benefit Dandelion...The peachy pink color has just enough shimmer - its not overbearing and you won't look like a 5 year old girl who just stumbled on mommy's makeup vanity...Staying power is quality - but of course you knew that - It's a MAC Product...

Eyes -Christian Dior - Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil
rated 5 of 5
sweetcherrie14 6/9/2008 10:30:00 AM

I can't believe this product is getting such dismal reviews...yes, the eyeliner does claim to be waterproof, but I don't think they're talking about "going swimming" or "diving into a pool" waterproof...you could walk in the rain sans umbrella, or cry watching the notebook 4 times in a row without this stuff smudging, but get it in the pool with the chlorine and chemicals, and yes it will smudge, just like every other pencil liner...You're better off going with liquid liner if you really want waterproof... With that being said - this stuff really is the best and only thing that I use around my eyes - started using it 5 years ago and have never tried another liner since - I swear by this stuff to give me an incredible look and definition for my eyes...Try it and you won't be disappointed...The colors are fantastic too...Nothing outlandish or scary... If you utilize the smudge tool at the other end of the pencil, you can make the liner last a while...Totally worth it in my opinion - I wear Eyeliner everyday and go through about 2 - 3 of these per year - totally worth 25 dollars for 4 months worth of good quality eyeliner...

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Mascara

This stuff makes your eyelashes do what they're supposed to do: Stand out! I have zero volume and zero length for my lashes, but this stuff always makes up for that...If you wear false eyelashes with this stuff the look is incredible - I do it when I go to parties and love the effect. Overall - one of the staples in my makeup case...

Skincare - Body -Hawaiian Tropic - Protective Tanning Lotion-SPF 8
rated 5 of 5
sweetcherrie14 6/9/2008 10:17:00 AM

This stuff is the only sunscreen I can use...It seems even when I use SPF 30 or whatever have you, I still get burned...But i put this stuff on, never get burned, and always come out with an amazing time...I'm extremely fair skinned as well...so that's saying something... The trick is in the re-applying...Slather this stuff on after swimming or after being in the sun after every 40 minutes, and you're guaranteed to come out looking golden with no burns... I used this stuff when I went to Aruba where the sun has no mercy and I was fine... And the smell of course - is heavenly... : )

Scrubs -Caress - Tahitian Renewal
rated 5 of 5
sweetcherrie14 6/9/2008 10:14:00 AM

Reviewing the Bar Soap here which actually has the exfoliating beads right in the bar! Body scrubs, and washes get a little too messy for me and I find them dehydrating a lot of the time... This bar though is full of moisturizers and I love that the exfoliators are right there...It's cuts down shower time since I don't have to do two extra steps... As everyone says, the smell is heavenly - I never have bee more dedicated to a soap before - I can't use anything else but this now! Caress spoiled me with this stuff! But it's cheap and it works, so I'm not complaining! If you really want to feel like you're on an island vacation, follow this stuff up with some Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen or After Sun Lotion - the combo of the Caress soap and the Hawaiian Tropic smell is so good...

Skincare - Body -Banana Boat - After Sun Lotion with Aloe
rated 5 of 5

WOnderful product- use it everytime after I'm out in the sun and it really does extend your tan...Dirt cheap (compared to other products and lotions that claim to do the same thing), convenient to buy (pick it up at the local drugstore - no tempting visits to sephora needed), and a great moisturizer (aloe, vitamin E, etc.) Love it!

Primer/ Corrector -Becca - Line and Pore Corrector
rated 5 of 5
sweetcherrie14 6/9/2008 10:08:00 AM

If you have naturally oily skin and halfway through your day, if you find your foundation or tinted moisturizer running down your face, then this is the stuff for you...You can use this stuff as a primer - though it's advertised as a line and pore corrector, it doesn't really do anything to help with pores or lines - at least I don't think it does... My tried and true test: I recently went on vacation to Myrtle Beach, and put this stuff on underneath a tinted sunscreen moisturizer...Nothing melted, and it stayed put all day long even in the hot weather... The only problem with this stuff is that it costs about $35 - 36 on sephora.com for a .5fl oz bottle...but a little does go a long way and you can only use it on the areas that are extremely oily or those areas that you want to smooth out before you apply your makeup...either way it's worth the buy in my opinion!

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
rated 5 of 5
sweetcherrie14 12/27/2007 2:08:00 AM

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful...I absolutely love this product - most recently I've mixed it with Mat Velvet foundation which is a little too powdery and i bought it in a little bit of a lighter color than I should have - mixing these two colors gives me the best of both worlds, and i probably could see budgeting 70 dollars for the mix, as you don't really run out of the products for a while (i've worn this specific product for about 6 months and i've only gotten through about half of it...) i would say try it out...!
