I like it, too. I was looking for a trio or quad to take with me on vacation so I didn't have to drag around so much stuff. I have several, but it seems that almost all of them are too sparkly. I wanted matte, and I totally got it with this one. One of the medium shades has a little bit of shimmer to it, but that's ok. The light shade works great as a base, and the darkest shade is just dark enough but not too dark for the crease. I had no trouble with the pigment. Seems just right to me. I usually use brushes, but I found that even the little applicator that comes with the product works fine with this. What a surprise! I like the texture. It doesn't flake, and it stays on. Quite pleased.
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Lipstick in 508A Black Orchid

Reading the reviews here just proves that makeup looks different on different people. Some people think it is very dark; some think it looks like Black Honey or Cherry Bomb. They are right of course -- for them. But I find none of those things true for me. For me, it a medium shade that compliments many of my purple clothes. It isn't too purple or too pink or too brown. It isn't too slick or too matte. It's very versatile. It looks good alone and blended with other shades. At 99 cents or so, it's worth a try. I certainly was very pleasantly surprised.
Cabernet Cashmere is a deep rosy burgundy pink. It has a lovely texture and is buildable. It is a good lipstick to carry along and put on in a rush because it doesn't require prep and precision. Very nice choice. Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued, and that's a sad state of affaris.
I have several of NARS matte lipsticks, and they can be a real chore to use. I have to use a good liner and some balm to soften up the texture. But Captiva is really worth it. I am always on the lookout for lipsticks that look good with my purple clothes, and I must say they are hard to find. I was very shocked with I discovered that Captiva is quite a good match for many of them. I am very pleased. Just use some balm and go for it.
I have several NARS matte lipsticks. They are a chore to put on. I have to use balm and gloss to make Cabaret work, but it is so worth it. Quite frankly, I was shocked to see how well this color worked with many of my purple clothes. Finding lip colors that look good with purple is a real challenge for me, and I am very pleased with this one. Just line it well and use some balm and it will look good!
It looked rather maroon to me. It's not bad, though. It actually had some depth to it -- but not too much.
I don't mind bright red, but this is really more coral than red. I thought it was going to be a warm red. Nope. Phooey.
This is one of those pinky reds -- not really red -- and doesn't match anything. It's really soft and messy. Not a good choice for me.

Pretty, pretty, pretty. Unlike most of the long wear metallics, this one has some depth. I don't find it two sparkly at all, but then I always use these sparingly. I like it a lot.

Starry Night is a sheer navy sparkle. It's a little darker than the other metallic long wear creams, but it still goes on sheerly. I would only use it as a highlight, but it does have some substance. Nice.

Boy, Bobbi wasn't kiddin' around when she said Silver. This stuff is Silver!!!!! It's very pretty and smooth. I agree the Pewter is the crown jewel of chrome shadows, but silver is also a great selection.

Let me simply add my agreement to the great reviews for Pewter. It's a gorgeous combination of hues that work well with everything. Another hit from Bobbi!

Mercury is exactly that -- the color of mercury in a thermometer. It's sheer but still has depth. I only use it as a highlight shadow, but I like it very much.

Beautiful stuff! Sheer gold. Soft. But only use a little bit because it goes a long way. I love it. On my way to collect all the new Bobbi Brown shadows!

This stuff is absolutely beautiful. It has some texture to it. You can actually see it!!! I'm sure there is a purpose for shadows that are so sheer they can't be seen. Ha. This one is actually visible. I love it. Sadly, when I go to the Bobbi Brown website, the chrome eyeshadow is listed among the "last chance" products. What's up with that? Are they discontinuing already. What a shame.
