The effects very noticeable in a short time. I've used this for about 2-3 weeks, and my face's tone is already different to the shade of my neck, and my heck doesn't get much sun! For the girls who want to get rid of a tan or look paler this is a decent product. My friends raved about the lightening effects before I decided to buy it, so here are 3 girls who got lightened skin. However, Kose actually told me that this would help fade dark marks, but it didn't. I have pale enough skin to start with, so I figured that the only thing that could lighten were my acne marks. But, it did't work. I wasn't too happy about the promise that didn't come true. 2/28/2013 edit: My face keeps getting lighter while the dark spots didn't go away. In the mornings after I've used the masks the evening before, my skin looks somewhat like Rosalie from Twilight, and I'm not kidding. 3/7/2013 I stopped using it. It's not helping my scars, and it's making me breakout where I never did before. 4/22/2013 My skin is still pale although i haven't used the product in a long time. I wish I never tried this. Another skincare product that will remain unused....
Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Soft Clean Milky Lotion Moisturizing Cleanser
suukyi 1/9/2013 6:01:00 PM
the instructions tell one to apply this to dry face and then tissue off. but, there's just no way for me to clean my face that way, and I actually wear very little makeup, just liquid foundation. It's like applying a moisturizing gel on the face and pretending that it'd clean my face. If I try to tissue off the makeup, there's so much left in my face that a toner wouldn't be enough. Also, the cleanser may have moisturizing properties are just pore cloggers to me, since the cleanser isn't washed away. Notice that Estee Lauder.com likes to list products as "non-acnegenic" sometimes. With this cleanser, the website didn't show this. The perfume of this cleanser is superb strong, but this isn't unusual for an Estee Lauder product. P.S. I used the Soft Clean Foaming Cleanser too. I like the Foaming cleanser so much better, since this one is like the Perfectly Clean Foaming cleanser without the drying effects for my combination/dry skin.
Usually, toners are a waste of time for me since they are well perfumed water in a plastic bottle. My cleansers do a fine job with cleansing the makeup I hear. HOWEVER, this one is really special. I've used it this for a week now, and it helps me speed up the recovery from my acne breakouts (that occurred before using this toner). The huge cystic bumps on my face flattened out and inflamed areas became normal again. I don't even use an acne cleanser anymore, so I thank this for it. =) I'm very happy with this toner.
Treatments -Origins - Brighter By Nature High-potency Brightening Peel Pads

I've used this peel for weeks already, twice or three times a week. I found that this does not help erase older acne scars, though it does lighten recently formed ones. Strangely, this helped me reduce the active breakouts, and I'd breakout less than before. It seems like it's doing a good job as a peel. Those with sensitive skin would want to stay away, since this is by no means a MILD peel.
I'M VERY ANGRY WITH THIS PRODUCT. I'm 24 and started noticing a fine line under my eyes, so I started using eye cream. My skin has been well-moisturized and nice. I noticed today how I've developed wrinkles where none existed during these weeks I've been using this cream. I'd deal with this product if it did nothing but moisturize. But, who would haven known that it'd cause wrinkles?!
Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Swiss Performing Extract
suukyi 9/20/2012 9:51:00 PM
Moisture: It's definitely a very moisturizing product. I've used their Hydrationist moisturizer for dry skin, and the Swiss Performing Extract is thinner but more moisturizing than the Hydrationist. Swiss Performing Extract is also more moisturizing than the Time Zone moisturizer (my favorite one). Skin improvement: The job of this product is to keep one's skin moisturized. Other than this, there are no tone evening or wrinkle reducing effects for me. I've one tiny wrinkle between my brows that's visible to myself. Time Zone helped me get rid of it, at least temporarily. But, SPE didn't make any changes. Value and packaging: Compared to other Estee Lauder moisturizers, the price is lower since there's a lot in a jar. There's no pump inside, so one has to dump the moisturizer out. Like I said, this product is runny, so I'm careful to not use too much. Downsides: I break out if I use these in the evenings.
The mask brightens my face literally the next day. I know it's not too normal to see whitening effects right away, but it lightened my skin quite fast. The mask (like other beauty diary ones) has lots of serum and is a bit runny. I really like the smell, though one can describe it as highly synthetic (nothing of the kind natural products companies like Origins or L'Occitane make) A small downside: this product makes me breakout! Whenever I stop using the mask, my skin turned COMPLETELY clear. When I use the mask, I'd wake up with a few zits the next day. Girls without acne wouldn't have to worry about this. I'm not buying this mask again. My Beauty Diary also makes a whitening mask called Arbutin Whitening Mask. I like the arbutin mask the best. Furthermore, arbutin is known by dermatologists to have brightening effects.
I think the mask fun to use since it smells and feels like there is red wine. I'd use the mask just for this, for I don't see many useful effects on my skin. It claims to firm/tighten the skin, and this works since my face feels uncomfortably tight after using this. It is as if someone's pulling my face. Maybe this function works for someone who's actually looking for tightening. The mask is not overly moisturizing though it's full of serum, and it's fine for my sometimes normal/combination acne-prone skin to use. I didn't see the whitening results that it claimed. I've used My Beauty Diary's "Arbutin Whiting" and "Pearl Powder" masks. These two have much more obvious whitening effects since they'd whiten my face in about 2 weeks time.
Lipstick -Estee Lauder - All-Day Lipstick in Mocha Pink
suukyi 9/6/2012 9:46:00 AM
I've about 10 or so Estee Lauder lipsticks, mostly from Pure Color. This color is my favorite. I've light skin and dark hair, and Mocha Pink looks very natural on me. I think this lipstick has a thicker consistency and lasts longer than my pure color ones. The downside: I don't like this lipstick's smell. It reminds me of one of the Estee Lauder liquid foundations' paint-like smell. The pure color lipsticks are heavily scented, but at least they smell better.
BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
suukyi 8/4/2012 10:48:00 PM
The smell is terrible and won't go away for a while. The product isn't too moisturizing if one has dry/normal skin. The lightest shade does match my face pretty well, but I don't know if it's because these's NO coverage.
Moisturizers -Lancome - Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30
suukyi 7/30/2012 7:53:00 PM
In short: skin-changing The product makes my face look shiny and acts very fast in worsening breakouts. I'd beakout anyway, I know, but this makes the breakouts worse! I've never gotten such bad breakouts since I've started using this product. I usually have normal-looking skin, never shinny. Now it turned out like I've oily skin. I tend to have dry/combination skin. It's extremely dry when I use oil-free makeup and/or stay over time at an office with AC or heater. It's combination since I get breakouts on my chin and cheeks sometimes. This product might work for those with EXTREMELY dry skin and for those who NEVER get breakouts. I've tried this product again after a break from it. It doesn't take long for this to cause breakouts (like a few hours). Maybe it's the perfume or whatever oil or ingredient Lancome put. But, this product doesn't seem beneficial to the skin at all.
Cleansers -Origins - A Perfect World Deep Cleanser
suukyi 6/15/2012 12:43:00 AM
During the winter I didn't like Origins' Checks and Balances much since it dried out my skin, specially my cheeks. Thus, I decided to try A Perfect World since this one claims to be for combination/dry skin. Complaint1: It doesn't clean well. Even when all I need to remove is a BB Cream or merely a liquid foundation, this doesn't clean well. When I use my toner, I see makeup in my cotton balls. This NEVER happens with the other cleansers I've used. Complaint2: It's not "perfect foaming" as claimed I need quite a bit of product in order to make a foam, one that, again, doesn't clean well. I've used much more concentrated cleansers like from Shiseido, Clarins, Lancome and Estee Lauder. Complaint3: It has a weird smell. I rather not wake up and smell a strange form of white tea in my cleanser. It depends on personal tastes, however. Some people may like it. I'd say this smell is similar to the Origins A Perfect World BB Cream and to the A Perfect World moisturizer with SPF-I've not tried the one without SPF
Treatments -Estee Lauder - Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator
suukyi 6/6/2012 5:57:00 PM
I've used two jars of this product until I decided to go on to something else and never go back. I think it's great in lightening acne scars, but the effects are temporary. I was told by an Estee Lauder rep that for this serum to be effective I should always use a moisturizer over it, and I followed these instructions but still didn't get the results I wanted. Also, this makes my face look shiny even when I don't use makeup. I'd like for my skin to look translucent and luminous, but not in the sense of having green/yellow shinny glitter on my face. If I had to go out of the house without makeup, I'd rather go out without this product on.
Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)
suukyi 6/6/2012 5:50:00 PM
An Estee Lauder SA told me I could benefit this since I've acne all the time, and this damage could be repaired by this ANR serum. As for that, I don't know what damage was repaired since my skin looks the same as before I used the serum. The effect this serum has on me seems temporary. My skin is moistened and relaxed right after using this. The smell is a bit odd and nothing I'd like to smell on my face while I fall asleep, but it does go away after a while. I think this can sting my face when I'd use this after using a strong exfoliator or peel (for acne and discolorations). Those with superb sensitive skin may not like this. The ANR serum is superb similar to Lancome's Genifique, but the latter is more soothing and smells less.
A very nice Estee Lauder SA recommended me this creme right after she saw how dry my skin was (I had oil-free liquid foundation on). If moisture is the only concern this product deserves a 5. It's superb rich and keeps my face moisturized the entire day. But, I really cannot stand the smell of the creme on my face, and it doesn't go away. Also, it caused me to breakout. When I go to bed I'd feel that my skin cannot breathe if I apply this. I'm better off going to bed without any moisturizer than with this.
