Treatments -LUSH - h'suan wen hua conditioner

I have VERY fine, short, dry hair. I color it regularly and heat style it daily. I have used his a few times and bought it this week. (P.S. if you go into the store and ask for samples they are super sweet about i! they actually encourage you to sample things rather than buying them and hating them.) I love that you can use it as a conditioner or a treatment. I usually have a very hard time finding treatments for my hair because it is fine. The slightest residue weighs it down and it looks super ridiculous because my hair is short. I take a quarter size massage in :) and leave in for 20 minuets or so. Rinse fist, then use one of lush's lovely shampoo bars to wash it out. I'll even pop a smidge in as a styling cream. AND I love that it smells like cinnamon with out smelling like candy.

I don't know why every one is saying that this is discontinued. I just bought a bar of it 3 days ago online. I love it! takes off make up and is hydrating with out being greasy. I LOVE that lush only packages what they have to, and everything else is in recyclable containers.

Powder -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Fresh Glow Makeup

I normally am not one to wear a mineral based powder makeup. I'm super dry, so I prefer a liquid foundation. BUT this morning I was pleasantly surprised! I tried the lightest shade (porcelain) on top of Korres wild rose shade 1. I was slightly annoyed that the lid is too small to hold a puffy brush. I had to tap out the powder into a separate dish. Also, I really wish all loose powders had a close top sifter. It makes it so much and less messy! The powders are a little on the yellow side. The color was good for me ( NW20) but for you lighter gals, the powder might be too dark. The liquid version does have a few lighter shades with a good range of tonal families. Dior usually is good about this. The application was smooth, It did not look powdery on the skin. It does have that mica type luminosity. So, if you want something that is completely matte, this is not for you. I am impressed with the staying power. So far it has lasted for 7 hours with out a touch up.

Foundations -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty inspired by Carmindy Airbrush Spray Makeup

Let me start by saying I am a fan of Dior air flash. I love everything about it except the fragrance. Lets start at the packaging. Nice, light weight aerosol can. The cap is clear, which I like. It is shorter, about the size of a travel shave cream. The color selection is standard for this sort of thing. I am NC20 and I picked light. It matched perfectly. Most of the time the lightest shade is very pink. This is not the case. It is actually pretty yellow. So, for you pale pink gals, I don't think you will be so happy with the color selection. The fragrance was nice.Light and fresh, nothing crazy. I am VERY dry, and I need a decent amount of coverage. So caking is constantly an issue. Here is how I applied it. I dusted Urban Decay deslick powder on first. (I know it sounds crazy, especially for a dry person. I did this to help build coverage. Much the same way that you would use dry shampoo for an up-do if you have fine hair. To help bulk it up.) I then sprayed my foundation brush ( I use a big puffy one) Then buffed it in. The coverage was pretty decent. It completely eliminated my redness, and because of the powder before hand, it had a great air brushed effect. The finish is slightly dewy and does not dry to a powder. I gave it a once over straight out of the can just for good measure. It wore pretty well. I wear glasses so I am constantly touching my face, it was a good 4 hours before I had to touch up my nose. Which in my book is great! I got it for 12.99 at CVS. It is about the same price as the newer DS foundations, and Carmindy's liquid.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain #415 Teasing Blush
rated 5 of 5
susiesephora 1/3/2009 11:47:00 PM

Love it! I usually don't like lip stains that are the marker type. But this one is very nice. Opaque and bright with a slightly glossy finish. You can not feel them on at all! Not at all like a long wear lipstick.I swiped it on my hand yesterday morning at 5AM to show a co-worker and it is still on there, as if i had just put it on. I love that. The best way to remove it is with a creamy cleanser. It takes it off beautifully. All the colors are pretty. Yes, I want them all... i know, I just love stains!

Crème -Smashbox - 'Camera Ready' Full Coverage Foundation

This product is an updated version of their conversion creme to powder compact. The shade selection this time around is MUCH better. it still dries down to a powder, however it does not dry too matte. It's not as creamy as I would like it to be. For a dryer skin this might be a little visible on the skin. For an oilier skin this would be perfect. It Blends well.

Crème -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Cream Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
susiesephora 9/6/2008 11:43:00 PM

I got this at CVS buy one get one free. I really like it. I chose the lightest shade. It is perfect! I'm fair, but not super pale. So if you are very light it would probably be too dark for you. It is super creamy, and bend really well. I like because it doesn't turn to powder. it stays dewy and creamy. Usually compact cream foundations dry to powder then look all cakey. I am really afraid that they are going to discontinue it. like every one does with non powder finish anything.

Love! that's all I have to say! It's hydrating, and soft. Not greasy, and not heavy... but not for oily skins. NUDE is meant to be ingested. So, the products never sit on the skin. I think they are GREAT!

Lip Treatments -Nude Skincare - Nude Lips
rated 5 of 5
susiesephora 8/16/2008 12:44:00 AM

I really like this balm. the only thing I would change is the packaging. I'm not a huge fan of anything in a pot. However, the rich butter like texture and the light vanilla scent are the best! totally worth using a lip brush or your finger for application. It really melds into the skin and leaves you lips soft and supple... Never greasy! It's great for your cuticles too!

Love it! I have very dry skin and I was not left dry or irritated. It removes every bit of make up and leaves my thirsty skin clean and quenched. The smell is amazing and it is super concentrated! A little goes a long way. In the past I have used the Boscia, and Origins cleansing oils butI heart this one!

Mascara -Too Faced - Lash Injection PinPoint
rated 5 of 5
susiesephora 8/4/2008 10:29:00 PM

Great mascara if you have long lashes and just need volume... this is volume central. It has a skinny brush so it really deposits product right at the base of your lash. It has pretty much the same formula as the original. Tubes galore!

Mascara -Sephora - Atomic Volume
rated 4 of 5
susiesephora 7/29/2008 10:20:00 PM

Ok so we got this for gratis the other day. I used it this morning... and I am pleasantly surprised! It is very similar to lash blast (my HG!) It doesn't have as many bristles. But it does give a similar effect. It does not smudge, flake or clump! The only thing that I know is GOING to bother me is the packaging. It is ballooned on the end, and I know that there is going to be all kinds of goodness stuck in the bottom that I can't get to. And that is going to drive me CRAZY!
