For me, this is a perfect scent. Not girly. It is a very beautiful musky tuberose. I love it becasue it is not cloying. I can spritz this on and it just settles onto my skin and clothing. There is almost something woody at the heart of this which does smell a bit soapy, but I tend to go for fragrances like this! The bottle is simple and looks like a piece of crystal scupture on my dressing table.

This is a great orange-brownish red. I think this would be a wonderful red for any complexion. It isn't too shocking. I'm not a fan of how cheap the tube is though. It looks so boring. As far as staying power, it's not the best, but it will last a couple of hours before fading a bit. It isn't too heavy or dry.
Upon first spritz, I got a huge blast of patchouli. Very interesting... After a second it became Amber-lush, and reminded me of Flowerbomb. There is something in the undercurrent here that makes it unique. It is something softer. this makes it much more refined than Flowerbomb or Angel. I LOVE the bottle with the silver description plate. Very classy and pretty to display. The only negative I have is that this doesn't last on me! It becomes almost too soft. I have this problem with Stella too! Will use this a lot in the coming winter months.
TOP NOTES:Bergamot /Mandarin Orange/ Violet Leaf/ Coconut MIDDLE NOTES: Jasmin/ Orange Blossom/ Gardenia BASE NOTES: Vetiver/ Sandalwood On paper, this looks fantastic. I was happy to finally see it in the department store. I wanted "coconut cloud"......Upon first sniff it wasn't quite what I had in mind...more subtle coconut blended with some exotic something..... That lasted about 2 minutes , then it was pure Michael. All gardenias and jasmin.A scent I have become tired of. After 5 minutes, it intensified and kept getting stronger on me. Bah... not very pretty.... I LOVE the bottle, however. It is glorious! A miss for me, sadly.......

For me, this is a very claasy and wearable fragrance. It does start off with a very sharp blast of citrus, but wears down to a wonderful woody chypre. It didn't disappear, it just mellowed, and I kept catching a whiff for hours afterwards. This is the type of fragrance that makes people come nearer, and the next day you can still smell it's beauty on your clothes. I love fragrances like this in the colder weather.
I really like this product! I have extremely fair skin and I ended up getting the second lightest shade. After this sets, it turns into a lighter shade powder. I'm not crazy about the brush-top applicator.I find that I can turn it about 10 times and nothing comes out, and on the 11th turn a huge blob of foundation comes to the surface. I have been applying this with my fingertips, and then buffing it out with a puff. this works well. I get medium coverage with a beautiful un-shiny finish. I have rosacea/sun damage on my cheeks, and this covers it easily! I am really impressed by that. Usually anything with SPF makes me oily or break out, but it has done neither. this could be HG for me. It is for now. We'll see what happens when the cold winter air makes my face dry and flakey.
This isn't red in the usual sense. It is a very subtle red with a brown-is undertone. This is like-your-lips-but -better-red. I have been searching for a color like this forever. this could be HG for me. the staying power is good even though after a couple of hours it sort of melds into your own lip color. It is not too thick and not too slick.
I was pleasantly surprised by this gloss. I purchased the Raspberry one. This gives me just enough gloss without being too goopy, and it is pretty long -lasting. I do detect a faint raspberry scent/taste, but it is almost non-existent. Good value for US$1.99!

I , too, picked this up at Marshall's for 14.99. I had purchased the body lotion there several months ago, and have been searching for the perfume ever since. When I saw this, I knew I had to have it. It is a very weighty golden case and comes in a beautiful black sleeve. The scent is so vanilla-amber-oriental-yummy. I was surprised at how long the fragrance lingers considering it's a cream-to-powder formula. This will be perfect to slip in my evening bag. The compact also has a mirror in it, which just doubles the value IMHO. This is my buy of the week!
Lipstick -Maybelline - Mineral Power Lipcolor ] [DISCONTINUED]

I got this in the Mauve and Ruby shades. The Mauve shade blended into my lips and left them a nice pinky-brown. The Ruby shade ended up being my favorite. I'm always on the look out for the perfect red, and this is pretty darned close! The texture of thes lipsticks is light and soft, not glossy or thick. There is a nice plumpy look to my lips without that glossy shimmer most lippies have. It's almast matte, but not dry. This is classy lipstick! I also liked the way it felt when I was applying it. It is nice and soothing going on. The case is a step above normal Maybelline packaging.More modern and expensive looking. I will be trying out more shades.
I found this today at TJMaxx on clearance! $5.00 for a 3.4 oz. bottle! I am always on the lookout for vintage-y or different perfumes, so I snatched it up! First whiff was familiar.....hmmm....something I like.... Oh yeah!...BANDIT! So, this is Bandit light....but wait.....Violets! Leather! No, No,... This is something really nice. This is an old-timey perfume like women in the 50's and 60's wore. Refined women going out to the club for dinner in their Dior dresses. A bit manly, even. I am not a frilly-girl, so I find this extremely wearable. Think Patricia Neal in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Lauren Bacall. A nice addition to my collection.
I have this shade in the Long Lasting formula. It is a mauvey -brown nude with a subtle shimmer effect. When I first put this on I didn't even see the shimmer, that's how subtle it is. For some reason, this shade is perfect for me, and makes my lips look so plump and defined without being bold. I am very fair with dark brown hair and green eyes. This could be HG material! I used to use Lancome's lipstick in a shade called Baie which was discontinued. This is a very very similar shade, except this has that glimmer to it.
I like these! My first one was the plum color. I used it just about every day. It is a nice alternative to lipstick. Like a nice slim balm with a hit of color. I also bought two others in Eco pink whick is a sheer pink on me, and the other in Vintage, which turns out to be my favorite. Vintage shows up on me as "my lips only better" . These are similar to Burt's Bees and other slim stick balms with color, but I am addicted to the natural herbal scent these have.

Found this fragrance at TJMaxx for US14.99. Upon first spray, I initially liked it. It smelled like a fresh summery bouquet, different from other scents.(good) After about 5 minutes, the middle notes started coming forth. at first, I wasn't crazy about this phase. A stronger, pungent something was SCREAMING to take over the initial niceness. After a few moments, what remained was heavy in gardenias. It reminded me of Michael by Michael Kors or Marc Jacobs. For some reason, this says Summer to me. It's bright, and sassy, and almost beachy, as well. I will give it a try, because I keep wanting to sniff my wrist. That can only be a good sign......
Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Baby Butter Massage Lotion
susand 2/24/2008 5:39:00 PM
I like this product! The fragrance is a mixture of Cocoa butter and baby lotion, which I find very comforting. It isn't a very strong scent, so It isn't offensive to slather this on all over the body. it is very creamy and a bit thick, but quite soothing when rubbing it on my skin. I don't really see this as a baby product other than the smell. this is great for adults. the label was easy to peel off, so can put the bottle right up on the counter of the bathroom. My hands have been so very dry this winter, and this feels very nice on them.
