It's a miracle for me! I have stick-straight, curl resistant lashes. I applied this mascara over primer and ended up with beautifully upswept, separated, soft lashes without the use of a lash curler! No clumping, no flaking, no smudging. It gave me volume as promised, but also a great deal of length, so much so that my lashes touched the lenses of my sunglasses! It is also very easy to remove. The price is high, but worth it to me.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara

I hate to think how much money I've spent in search of the perfect mascara. High end, drug store, you name it-I've probably tried it. Until recently the best I've found was CG Volumexact-and it's discontinued! Man, you could put on multiple coats of it without waiting for it to dry in between and it never clumped or transferred on me. Clump Crusher was a good purchase-didn't irritate my eyes, didn't flake or transfer, and allowed me to apply multiple coats. The only downside is that is doesn't produce much volume. I may try adding L'Oreal Voluminous to the mix to see if it helps.

Eye Shadow -LORAC - Pro Palette

If you are looking for a HG palette and your lids are closer to mature than young, well this is for you. I wasted $50 buying the UD Naked 2 palette only to find almost all the shadows were tooooo shimmery for my 49-year-old lids. Enter Lorac Pro Palette-half matte, half shimmer. And the shimmer is more of a satin look when applied than a metallic mess like UD was for me. There is a little fallout on some of the shimmer shades, just tap the excess off the brush before applying. These colors are all very wearable and blend like a dream. I use this palette literally every day.

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)

I've found the best way to apply this powder is to set my foundation with it, using a light touch and a fan brush. Love it.

Maybe I just got a bad package, but they were hardly wet at all! It would be nice if they had a better way of sealing the package to keep the moisture in. On the plus side-they didn't sting or irritate my eyes when removing eye makeup!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Volume Exact Waterproof

I always come back to this mascara! It's the only one, high end or drugstore, that doesn't smudge under my eyes. And you can pile on coat after coat without waiting for each coat to dry. I am buying it on eBay now. Why did it have to be discontinued?

Apply this super rich serum and within minutes you can see your skin appear smoother, more supple, and less wrinkled. I am on my second bottle and plan to never be without it. Truly, the first night I applied it I could see a dramatic difference in the texture of my skin upon awakening. While just wearing skin care products from my Paula's Choice line, I was browsing the cosmetic counters at a local department store and the sales associate stopped my to tell my how beautiful my skin looked. Now people, I have redness in some areas and old acne scars. But this serum immediately improved those flaws. The sales associate didn't even try to push her line of skincare on me, she just told me to keep using whatever I was using because it was making my 49 year old skin look so good!

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Glee/ all over face color

I use Glee in the fall/winter as a plummy blush color. It blends out better than any other powder blush I have EVER tried. One container has lasted me for probably 5 years.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Walking on Eggshells

Frost, frost, frost-that's all I could see from all three colors in this pretty trio. If you are younger than I am with smooth lids, I think it would look great on you. But not the right finish for my more mature lids.

Lotions/ Creams -Soap and Glory - Hand Food

I am not bothered by fragrances in my personal care products. I don't shy away from even the stronger scents in perfumes. But the fragrance in Hand Food is not my cup of tea. The closest description I can give is sour roses. The cream is nourishing, skin softening, greaseless and quickly absorbed. Everything I want in a hand cream-except the fragrance. Edit: I am eating humble pie! I am now on my 4th tube of Hand Food. The first one must have been a fluke fragrance-wise. I have never used a better hand cream and will never be without this one. Even my nails have begun to grow stronger and longer!

Palettes -NYX - Bohemian Chic

This is my treasure trove of matte shadows for my maturing eyelids. I agree with others that they may not be highly pigmented, but that allows for careful buildup instead of time spent fixing a mistake with an intensely pigmented shadow. The shadows give a soft focus to the eyes, and there are so many to choose from, plus the two blushes, that this could be my only travel palette packed for a trip. Amazed to find so many matte shadows in one collection at such a reasonable price.

Gives a lovely, sheer soft finish and contains some color matching technology that helps it blend easily. I particularly like it for the winter months when I need something more moisturizing than the EL Doublewear Light I use in the summer. The only flaw is in the packaging. You have to shake it vigorously. When you do that with the cap on, some product always leaks out into the cap. I have to remove the cap, put my finger over the opening, and shake it like that. Whatever small dot ends up on my finger can then go right onto my face.

Great long lasting liner for tight lining inner rims and waterline. Unfortunately, it irritates my normally nonsensitive eyes for some reason. Would love to be able to use it.

I have very fine hair, but a lot of it. This shampoo has been my Holy Grail for giving it volume and body while maintaining a healthy shine. Love, love, love it!

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Blending brush - tapered

I have small eyes, so I only use this brush for blending. Boy, does it do a beautiful job! This brush has made more of a difference than any other product/tool in giving me a polished, professional look on my eye makeup. Has never shed, and is incredibly soft and fluffy. And that handle makes it fun to hold and easy to work with. I'll never be without this brush!
