Masks -Boscia - Bright White Mask
supragurl7 3/15/2013 11:14:00 PM
So I'm almost done with my first tube. I use it once a week. Whenever I'm using this mask I also use a pore peeling mask on my nose and forhead. So the rest of my face is this brightening mask. Not really sure if it really brightens since I do use other brightening skin care also. What I do like about this product is that it acts as an exfoliator. I feel it lifts and peels away my dead skin because after I peel the mask off, my face is so smooth, and my lotions and creams go on OH SO smooth. Not even a physical or chemical exfoliator does that to me. I've tried the black mask before, but that one was too strong. This one is much gentler. I read the other reviews mentioning how it is hard to peel, but it wasn't for me at all. The trick is to put on good layer that is not too thin nor thick. You wantto make sure you put more on the edges so that you can easily lift it when it dries. Also, avoid the hair line! If you do have some residue left after peeling, just use a wet wash cloth and wipe it away.

Lipstick -Bite Beauty - Luminous Creme Lipstick in Barolo
supragurl7 11/30/2012 3:43:00 PM
I was looking for a dark purple lipstick that has no red in it yet still very wearable. The SA at Sephora recommended this Bite Beauty lipstick in Barolo. I tried it and fell in love. Being that their products are made from food grade ingredients also helped. I don't want to be eating chemicals. This particular color is not truely opaque, but definitely buildable to opaque. It's texture is a cross between a gel (where the slight hint of sheerness comes in) and a creme. The finish is slightly glossy. This is a great formula for someone who wants to try the dark lip trend as you can control the degree of opacity. The lipstick is long lasting with no fading whatsoever, but it does transfer if you drink from a cup or straw. There is no sliping and sliding which gives you confidence when wearing it. What is most important is that this lipstick does not make my lips peel. My lips actually look better at the end of the day when I remove it. Since loving this lipstick so much I went and bought 3 more lipsticks from Bite Beauty.

Lip Treatments -Bioderma - Atoderm Stick Lêvres lip balm stick
supragurl7 11/30/2012 3:29:00 PM
I got this on sale when I was in Paris, so it was pretty cheap. Good thing it was cheap, because I hate everything about it. If you look at the ingredients, the first listed is mineral oil. Mineral oil is too greasy for the lips therefore it slips and slides. This product never gets absorbed, instead, it just lays on the top of the lips. It does absolutely nothing to care for the lips. The packaging is also terrible as you can't retract the stick.

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
supragurl7 11/30/2012 3:24:00 PM
I don't rely on this to remove my face makeup. I've tried and it took too much work and multiple cotton pads. I just stick to DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. However, I mainly use it to remove my lip makeup. I don't want my lipstick to get all over my face when using the cleansing oil, so I remove my lip makeup first with this cleansing water. I prefer to use this over the oil because it doesn't leave any residue behind and it only takes one swipe. It even removes MUFE Aqua lip pencils. I also use it to remove any cream or gel mask.

Skincare - Face -Shiseido - Facial Cotton
supragurl7 11/29/2012 4:22:00 PM
Beware! Once you try these you will not go back! I really enjoy using these. One pack lasts me 2.5-3 months, so it is not really that bad. These cotton pads are sturdy yet soft and silky. They don't get 'linty', so they are good for removing eye makeup. I've tried a cheaper kind I got from a Japanese drugstore ($3 per pack). It was a no-go, it falls apart as I run it over my face with toner. I think a good alternative would be the Muji cotton pads. They are very similiar in texture and construction, but they were a bit thick. I'm very particular with my cotton pads. I hate the ones that are crimped at the edges as I find them too sharp. I also don't like quilted ones, I see those a lot at CVS, Target, Rite-Aid, etc... And finally, I don't buy cotton pads that are Made in China. I get mine in Hong Kong which is only 50HKD which is around $7. Quite the savings compare to the US which cost $9 + tax.

Lip Treatments -DHC - Vitamin C White Stick
supragurl7 11/28/2012 1:43:00 AM
I bought 2 tubes of this stuff when it was on sale, one next to my bed, and one in my travel bag. This feels very nice on the lips. It is NOT waxy at all like cheap chapstick. It is NOT greasy like petroleum jelly. It has the right consistency and emollients. I was surprised to read other people's review saying that it was moisturizing and didn't feel like they had put anything on their lips. I also did notice that their reviews were waaay back. This is my first time purchasing it, perhaps DHC changed the formula. I bought this because my lip pigmentation was getting darker (due to not using lip balm with SPF) and also wanted to prevent aging around the lip area. I put this on every night before bed and I would run it around my lips and OVER the lips (very important). After only a couple uses, I already noticed the pigmentation is lighter, and my lip area is more smooth. I haven't had any peelings either, because the sides near the corner of my lips always get flaky.

Treatments (Eye) -DHC - Revitalizing Moisture Strips
supragurl7 11/28/2012 1:26:00 AM
I really love using these and surprised to find some people not liking them. Perhaps they should try my method. I suffer from severe dehydration due to my job. The part most affected by it is my eye area where there are visible fine line due to dehydration. These masks are really hydrating. Because of these special type of gellish mask I wear them to sleep with no problem coming off during the night. When I wake up, the area is plumped and the fine lines are significantly reduced. I love how these are not messy to use, no liquid dripping down, therefore perfect for sleep use. When you wake up, you should notice that the patches have become significantly thinner. That is due to the gel part melting into your skin. Heat is your friend when using these masks. For added intensity I sometimes wear a heat eye mask over these babies. With these mask, the longer you wear it, the better. Not like a traditional paper mask where reverse osmosis can take place.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
supragurl7 11/14/2012 11:03:00 PM
I know a lot of people like these but it just didn't work for me. It is suppose to be moisturizing but it made my lips peel like crazy. I've tried 2 shades and both make my lips peel. A lot of lip products make my lips peel, but this has to be the worst. Usually when my lips peel, big chunks of skin flakes. For these lip butters, my lips peel into tiny itty bitty flakes that are very hard to exfoliate.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
supragurl7 11/11/2012 11:55:00 AM
I really wanted to like this cleanser and be able to purchase it again only if Philosophy took the fragrance down a notch. It is very strong, and it is coming from someone who likes fragrances. This cleanser doesn't really foam, but will form some bubbles if you try to work it. It is a very silky formula, so it will be very smooth against the skin which means less tugging. It is really a good formula if you use a brush, which I do with the DHC face brush. I can see that it will also be good with the Clarisonic (future owner, it is in the mail!) This cleanser is suppose to an All-In-One like makeup remover and toner built in. I really don't know how well it removes makeup as I always use an oil cleanser. This cleanser is gentle, but not as gentle as Kiehls Ultra Facial Cleaser, perhaps due to the fragrance.

Cleansers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Cleanser
supragurl7 11/11/2012 11:47:00 AM
I'm really liking the Ultra Facial line. After trying two products, the toner and this cleanser, I got a good impression on this line. The cleanser is super gentle and glides on the face nicely. It doesn't foam up easily so you'll have to put a little work into it. But once you get a nice lather, it goes on smoothly against the skin. Now, I don't know how well this removes makeup, as I don't rely on one cleanser to remove my makeup. This is always my second step in cleansing my face. I never see any residue on my cotton pad when I'm using a toner. There is little to no fragrance so that is a plus.

Toners -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Toner
supragurl7 11/11/2012 11:41:00 AM
I'm a toner addict. I use two toners everyday for my night time skin care routine. I absolutely love toner and don't mind paying $$$ for it. I've tried many high end (SKII) and low end (Neutrogena) toners, so I know what is good and what is not. What is good is this Kiehls Ultra Facial Toner. It is so moisturizing! This does not contain alcohol, which a lot of toners do. The smell isn't amazing but decent, kinda reminds me of milk, maybe it is the color. I do a couple of squirts on a cotton pad (preferably Shiseido) and gently swipe it across my face. It leaves my face supple and perfect for dry weather. For such good toner to be at a good price is a steal!

Masks -Fancl - Fancl White Clear Mask SP
supragurl7 8/27/2012 7:34:00 PM
I bought the 2 week program as they were having a promotion. It included 15 White Clear Mask and 2 bottles of White Essence. It cost a little under $200US. Quite expensive, but the SA said that their whitening program does not dry the skin. That got me sold because most whitening products will dry out the skin. This and being that, there are no preservatives and alcohol. This program has you using the mask everyday (a must) for 2 weeks straight and then you can continue with every other day, and slowy expand your usage. I've tried many whitening products before, but nothing ever worked. I have a lot of freckles that I've had since little, so it is pretty permanent. After diligently using the mask everyday and the white essence day and night, I am shocked that this program actually worked. At first, I as hesistant to use it everyday as I'm afraid it might be too harsh, but my skin took it very well. My freckles have faded, though not gone (that would just be too high of an expectation), my pores have gotten more refined, and no breakout during my period. I also got compliments how my skin is so smooth and bright. This also did not dry out my skin. This definitely is a miracle program.

Sunscreen -Biore - UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+
supragurl7 7/4/2012 1:54:00 PM
I thought this was my HG sunscreen as I've used 3 bottles. It was light and non greasy. Most importantly, it was cheap for the high protection it offers. Lately, because my skin have been severely dehydrated. Probably, due to the summer and me piling on mega sunscreen (those shake-up kind). I just found out those shake-up sunscreen contain ALCOHOL and it was sucking every drop of moisture I have. This Biore one included. I'm sad to say, but I can no longer use shake-up sunscreens. : ( You can read my review on the Shiseido Ultimate Protection Cream.

Sunscreen -Shiseido - Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF 55 PA+++ [DISCONTINUED]
supragurl7 7/4/2012 1:42:00 PM
Before this sunscreen I had been using those shake-up sunscreen from Asia. They included Anessa, Biore UV, and Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA+++ ( I bought this in Hong Kong. It is the white bottle but I think it is the Urban Enviroment here in the US.) Anyways, I really like sunscreens from Asia as it is lightweight and less greasy. Lately, (partly do to me getting older and my job environment) my skin has been more and more dehydrated. My face would turn to a prune and I was to find the culprit. While I was slapping on the Shiseido sunscreen I bought in Hong Kong, I noticed my eyes watering, and see that my fine lines were accentuated. Then it dawned on me ALCOHOL! I checked the packaging, and it was the 3rd ingredient on the list. I stopped using it immediately and went on a hunt to find a sunscreen without alcohol. This particular Shiseido Sun Cream does not contain Alcohol. The reason those shake-up sunscreens are lightweight and non greasy is because they contain ALCOHOL. I'm bummed about it since I don't want my face to become a prune.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 25% shea butter ultra rich body cream
supragurl7 6/15/2012 12:41:00 AM
I swear by this stuff. This is how I get through my winters. I've gone through about 6 tubs of this stuff and use it only in the winter. Since I travel internationally a lot I get mine from the Duty Free and it also helps that I get an employee discount. Sorry ladies. I've tried lower end body butters to try to save money but it just doesn't work like this one. I go through 2 tubs per winter and I also use a regular body lotion I get from a drugstore in conjuction. It is just too expensive to use this alone. I will still keep buying this even though it is expensive because it works.
