Tried this because I was looking for a soap free product in the market for my keratosis pilaris skin. It was on sale at that time, cost about $30 for the 1L with a 200ml extra small lil bottle in a bundle. Color's green, smell's strong but it's GENTLE. The smell is the reason why I cant give it 5 stars. Other than that, this soap is amazing. Cleanses really well yet makes your skin soft. For my oily Tzone and dry Uzone skin(face), its a little drying and it does makes my skin feel a bit tight after washing. Still I would buy this again for the body.
Sunscreen -Kiehls - Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF 50 PA+++
supeng 5/6/2012 8:36:00 AM
My HG sunscreen. Just bought two bottles of it (60ml) since Kiehls SG is having 20% off storewide for all Friends of Kiehl's(members, lol). I got this and Clearly Corrective Spot Solutions and some vials of their two other highly raved products. This is by far my fav product from Kiehls, and I suppose this is different from the US ver of Super Fluid because its not fluid at all, its creamy but light. Applies very smoothly onto your skin without a white cast(like the other high SPF sunscreens). Looks a little greasy after applying it adequately. Overall, its weird that I find my skin getting fairer and fairer and I attribute the credits to this product since I only use cleanser, a green tea seed serum and this when I go out to work in the mornings. I think only Asia sells this though, since its Oil free.
This is a product that i would gladly purchase it again. Been a long time since I don't need to hesitate on choosing whether I will purchase this product again. Because I will. :) Gentle, cleanses really well(I dont use makeup, only eyebrow pencil sometimes), and non drying. I have sensitive skin and combo oily, my cheeks dry out with Avene's Soapless gel cleanser(which used to be my HG cleanser until I took Isotretinoin and Doxycycline for my ex-acne) It costs $43 here in Singapore and it IS expensive for a cleanser but Im willing to pay for it since I cant find another cleanser that suits my combo oily areas more.
Best lipbalm ever. and if anyone dares to say that this is the same as Vaseline, i can tell you that it's NOT. Because I've used all sorts of Vaseline lipbalms & the original tub (hate it). I loved the tube ones, but they turned into semi-liquid after abt 1.5 months. Kiehl's #1 does not turn into liquidy balm. And the difference it makes to my lips is huge, my lips dont feel like they have a film of something on it. And my lips have the shine after i apply it, not the greasy kind but the just nice, glossy kind. So no, this is not Vaseline, and i will repurchase this again and again. :)
Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream
supeng 12/14/2011 4:51:00 AM
Im actually not sure if I would buy this again, though I chose No as my answer. It feels a little bit sticky after u applied this on, and I dont apply just a little bit, I applied an adequate amount that I feel should be applied as a moisturizer each time I use this. Overall, my skin has not reacted to it yet and im just using a sample given to me by the SA at Kiehl's.
Gels/Soaps -Ahava - Mineral Botanic Water Lily & Guarana Body Wash
supeng 3/22/2011 11:58:00 AM
I first tried this product when my fav magazine Cleo recommended it as a thereupatic and gentle exfoliating wash. I bought it at SGD 28, and let me just say the smell is DIVINE. I've never thought I would be this crazy over a body wash smell. And even though the wash feels gentle, it does exfoliate and this is coming from a person who suffers from extremely severe KP. And a bonus, this has no SLS in it and I love everything without SLS. Will definitely repurchase but this is a pampering body wash for once in a while. It is pricey.
Shampoo -Burt's Bees - Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy Shampoo
supeng 2/15/2011 2:28:00 PM
So, I have been using this shampoo for over 3 months... And I've never really try to observe if there's any volumizing effect on my hair because I bought it due to the raves of it being sulphate free and smells great. Last month, I was cutting my hair and the hairstylist commented that my hair was very thick. And then I knew this shampoo really DOES volumize. Too bad I alr have big hair, I will try another of their sulphate free shampoos. Ppl, looking for sulphate free volumizing shampoos, try this one. It works! :)
Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin
supeng 2/11/2011 2:50:00 PM
This is my favorite cleanser. It cleanses really well without drying the skin( I have oily skin). Left my skin feeling extremely soft and clean looking. It may be mildly drying for drier skin types. I always try different cleansers, but end up going back to this one.
It doesn't moisturize nor does it tones. Because it's not meant to. It's meant to calm irritated skin after reacting to certain irritants or after shaving and changing of environment. It really calms my flushed face a lot and you know it when a product feels good on your skin and you know that it's helping you. It's exactly what Avene's Thermal water does to me everytime. As for if I would repurchase, I ALWAYS repurchase it. :)
Toners -Unlisted Brand - Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid
supeng 2/11/2011 2:30:00 PM
The best things about this product is that it really does not have any fragrance. Nor coloring. Literally. It feels smooth and a little bit like very thin gel. It's watery but not the loose runny kind. Love this but took a lippie off because its sticky and leaves my face looking rather shiny. Even after waking up in the morning.
Treatments (Eye) -The Body Shop - Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream
supeng 2/11/2011 2:24:00 PM
I don't use eye creams a lot, but this feels great and light on my eyes. Has a great smell and I know it's going to last me for a long long time. Here's how I apply this: Taught by the SA. Squeeze a little of this product out, and use another finger to warm it up by touching the cream repeatedly. Melts easier on your eyelids. :)
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Aloe Cool & Fresh light body lotion
supeng 1/31/2011 2:54:00 PM
This is definitely a great moisturizer for humid countries, like Singapore. Absorbs fast, has a refreshing smell that smells like honeydew and melon. Even though it's light and absorbs within 5 mins, it does it's job. My skin felt quenched and no longer tight and flaky at my arms after sleeping in my ac room evey night. I will definitely repurchase this and also try out other Vaseline products.
Toners -Thayers - Rose Petal Alcohol Free Witch Hazel
supeng 10/29/2010 3:34:00 PM
BEST TONER I'VE EVER USED HANDS DOWN. Soothing, smells very plesant, alcohol free and a large bottle. Absolutely nothing to complain about besides I can't find it in stores here.(Singapore) am so buying this after finishing my Lush breath of fresh air. :)
Masks -Kiehls - Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque
supeng 10/29/2010 3:28:00 PM
I used this quite some time ago... It dries extremely fast and didn't see any detoxification done even after finishing the bottle.
Hmm, i would definitely give this product a 4.3 instead of 4 if the site allows, i didn't really believe in the "glowing" skin next day after using the cream-reviews but im on my 4th day of using and i guess i was too tired in the mornings to check on my skin. Today, i was shocked at the brightness of my face, usually my skin looks dull whole day but wow, i used a lil more cream last night and it proved to me that this renewal night cream works. I'm glad i tried it but the price is very expensive for me, $39SGD. I hope it can last for 3 months and i will update the rating to 5 lippies. :)
