Lipstick -MAC - Russian Red
rated 5 of 5
sunnyisland 10/19/2011 2:02:00 AM

MAC describes this as a matte true blue red. Indeed this is a colour saturated true blue based red that is suitable for all skin tones. More vibrant in colour, like fresh blood than MAC's Viva Glam 1, which is a deeper red that resembles dried blood. MAC's Russian Red is very pretty, glamourous, classic hollywood red that instantly catches attention for the user and is particularly useful at parties and at night. However, it can be a bit too loud for daytime use. Also, there is no glitter or pearl in this lipstick. Although it's matte, it's still creamy enough to glide onto one's lips as compared with MAC's other mattes but can be drying for lips. Long lasting. Highly recommended!

Lipstick -MAC - Sandy B. lipstick

MAc describes this as a light shell pink frost lipstick. To me, it's a light peach lipstick with gold frost and some light pink undertones. Rather light and in the same tone as MAC's Shy Girl but less moisturising and much more frosty. Too frosty to be used on its own and the paleness of the colour washes me out. But with the right lip gloss, it can work. I prefer MAC's Shy Girl though.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre - Gem of Roses
rated 5 of 5
sunnyisland 7/8/2011 6:03:00 AM

Gem of Roses is a mid tone strawberry pink lustre lipstick as described by MAC, launched under the Semi Precious Collection. This is indeed a pretty mid tone pure pink that is fresh and delightful for summer and gives a moisturising strawberry pinkish stain on the lips which can be built up with multiple layers should one require a more intense stawberry shade. No shimmer and no mauve nor purplish undertones. Makes me look like I've just had some fresh strawberries. Close in tone to MAC's Syrup, though Syrup has purple undertones. Unfortunately it's limited edition, else I'd buy it again! :)

Lip Gloss -MAC - Boy Bait Cremesheen
rated 4 of 5
sunnyisland 6/23/2011 1:49:00 AM

I like MAC's Boy Bait Cremesheen. It gives me a natural sheer nude pink colour to my lips and the gloss feels comfortable on my lips without being too sticky unlike MAC's other lip gloss products such as lip glass. Also contains a little bit of silvery shimmer which is barely noticeable. I wear it on its own to give my lips a little colour or sometimes over a nude lipstick such as MAC's Viva Glam Gaga 2 if I need a more opaque nude. Unfortunately, this product really costs a lot. Packaging gives the impression of a lot more product than it actually contains.

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Gaga 2
rated 1 of 5
sunnyisland 3/18/2011 2:16:00 AM

This is a pale beige lipstick in amplified formula from MAC. No glitter and no shimmer either. Goes on smooth but is really pale and concealer-like, paler than Viva Glam V. Also, it is quite drying despite the amplified formula and hence tends to settle into lip lines. I'll continue to stick to my fave Viva Glam V, which is a little more pink and natural looking. I wouldn't buy Viva Glam Gaga 2 again.

Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Bare Again
rated 5 of 5
sunnyisland 3/18/2011 2:11:00 AM

This is a gorgeous pinky nude lipstick from MAC. No glitter and no shimmer. Creamy but not too sheer and not totally opaque. Also gives a slightly glossy finish. Goes on smooth and is more moisturising than MAC's other lipstick formulas. Looks like a natural pinky nude indoors and more rosy when outdoors under the sun. I love it for all occasions and will definitely buy this again. Reminds me a great deal of my old fave, MAC's Slimshine in Bare, only a bit rosier. Glad that it's part of MAC's permanent collection. :)

Lips -MAC - Pro Longwear - Till Tomorrow
rated 4 of 5
sunnyisland 10/15/2010 1:54:00 AM

MAC describes this as a grey mauve. I don't really notice any grey in this. It seems much like a brownish, mauvish neutral lip colour that is very muted and suitable for all occasions. No shimmer and no glitter. Very close to MAC's Modesty which I really like but a bit more brown. Rather lasting but a little bit drying for my lips, even though it is a bit creamy and not as matte as MAC's matte lipsticks. Still I like the colour and would buy this again.

Gels/Soaps -100 Percent Pure - Dark Chocolate Mocha Organic Body Wash
rated 1 of 5
sunnyisland 10/15/2010 1:43:00 AM

I had high hopes for this product and was looking frorward to trying it out as it was touted to be natural Indeed the scent was natural and I didn't detect anything artificial about it. Unfortunately it really smelt like stale coffee mixed with a bit of cocoa. You get a brief whiff of it and then it disappears along with the rinse. Plus the scent doesn't linger on my skin at all. Also, it must be used within 6 months as it is a natural product. I liked the fact that this is an all natural product but I won't be buying this again.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Syrup
rated 5 of 5
sunnyisland 10/15/2010 1:39:00 AM

MAC describes this as a cloudy pink. This is a sheer berry pink mid tone lipstick with purplish undertones that gives a rather natural blush pink hue to lips. No brown overtones and absolutely no shimmer. Applying several layers would give a more purplish look. Quite close in colour to MAC's limited edition lipsticks -- Laugh A Lot and Viva Glam VI Special Edition. A bit more purplish and more sheer than MAC's Sweetie. Very pretty indeed for spring and summer. I love this colour and would buy it again.

Lipstick -MAC - Pro Longwear Lipcreme Collection in Overtime
rated 4 of 5
sunnyisland 9/9/2010 2:14:00 AM

Overtime is one of MAC's Pro Longwear Lipcreme Collection for Fall 2010. MAC describes this as a light baby pink (creme). Indeed this is a very pretty vibrant baby pink that is a brighter pink than MAC's Angel and is close to MAC's Viva Glam Gaga lipstick. No mauve, brown or beige untertones and looks like a true pink in most lighting although it can appear a bit too pink in bright sunlight. Lasts for hours, very intense colour and is very matte. But can be very drying on its own though, thus it might be good to wear a lip gloss over it or apply lip balm over it. Very pretty for spring and summer. I love the colour and will buy it again.

Gels/Soaps -100 Percent Pure - Yummy Ice Cream 2 in 1 Vanilla Body Wash and Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
sunnyisland 9/7/2010 7:41:00 AM

This 2 in 1 body wash and shampoo smelled really yummy like real vanilla ice cream. Although it was a little diluted, there was a little sud and could clean hair and body quite effectively. Cleanses skin without stripping it too much. Quite effective on hair too though it might be better to use a conditioning rinse after. I liked the light vanilla scent too. Unfortunately though, the vanilla scent doesn't linger on skin but does on the hair and I could get faint whiffs of it throughout the day. By the way, this is an all natural product that has to be used within 6 months of opening.

Lipstick -MAC - Please Me
rated 5 of 5
sunnyisland 8/24/2010 7:39:00 AM

MAC describes this as a muted rosy tinted pink. Indeed it's a lovely neutral true pink with warm undertones but no brown, beige or mauve undertones. Appears as a true light pink in all lightings. Absolutely gorgeous and lights up my face without being over the top although it can appear a bit too obvious in daylight. Very pretty indeed for both spring and summer so although the matte formula can be quite drying, I still love this colour very much. Gives excellent coverage. Yes, I'll buy this again anytime.

Lipstick -MAC - Satin Lipstick - Myth
rated 1 of 5
sunnyisland 8/24/2010 7:34:00 AM

MAC describes this as a pale muted peachy beige. Indeed, this is a very pale lipstick that made me look totally washed out with its excellent coverage that didn't give my naturally mauvy lips the chance to show through. Also the Satin formula was much too drying for me. Perhaps suitable though for those who are looking for an opaque ultra pale lipstick that is very long lasting though. But I am not so I won't buy this again.

Lipstick -MAC - Victorian
rated 5 of 5
sunnyisland 8/23/2010 1:09:00 AM

MAC describes this as a frosted light golden pink. In the tube this looks like a light cool toned coral pink with tonnes of gold shimmer although on my lips, it appears like a light but rather bright pink and the gold shimmer is quite subtle. Provides a bit more colour than MAC's Angel and is brighter than MAC's Bombshell. Worth a try if you like something in between these two colours. Rather pretty for spring and summer. Rather drying but I like the colour and hence would buy it again if it were not limited edition.

Lipstick -MAC - Hue
rated 1 of 5
sunnyisland 8/16/2010 1:38:00 AM

MAC describes this as a soft pale pink. Indeed this is a very pale sheer pink that can barely be seen in all types of lighting except in natural light. Appears like a natural but subtle pink in natural light and sunlight but very pale when indoors especially under minimal lights. Paler than MAC's famous Angel lipstick. Way too sheer and too drying for me. But might be suitable for those who are looking for a very nude pink lipstick with just a hint of pink and no brown or beige undertones. Also, not suitable for dry lips as it can cake and be left behind on lip cracks and lines. I guess the glaze formula doesn't work well for me. I won't buy this one again.
