Treatments -LUSH - Henna - Caca Noir
sunflower22 5/2/2010 7:06:00 PM
This is my go-to hair color. I started with the Caca brun but I have found that Caca Noir mixed with boiling coffee and vinegar and 8 hours in saran wrap gives me the deep, rich black with dark brown highlights I had originally envisioned. Before the henna, I had highlighted blonde hair that the drugstore chemical dyes couldn't cover. Henna keeps my hair dark and reacts well with my highlights (ie the highlighted parts are the dark reddish brown). My hair is smooth, shiny, and not ruined by chemical dyes! This and Wen cleansing conditioner are all my hair needs from now on!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Godmother
sunflower22 5/2/2010 7:00:00 PM
I am usually not a fan of candy/sweet scents but the salesgirl at LUSH talked me into buying The Godmother and Rock Star. They assured me if I didn't like them, I could take the soaps back, no questions asked. Godmother smells like a raspberry flavored Welch's fruit snack. I love the way it smells on my skin, and my boyfriend even changed his reaction from "it's JUST soap" to "Mmmm It smells wonderful" after he smelled it on me. Will definitely be buying again!

Treatments -LUSH - Henna-Caca Brun

I have mid back length chemically processed light brown hair. I had been blonde for two years before this and tried to switch to brown twice with at home hair color dyes that kept fading. I used 4 squares that I thinly sliced with a knife, added boiling coffee and some vinegar and stirred up to a mashed potato consistency. I left the henna on for 7-8 hours with Plastic wrap and a towel. My hair is gorgeous, shiny, healthy looking and much thicker. The color is a chocolate brown/mahogany color with dark golden highlights where my previous highlights had been. I will definitely be doing this regularly, despite the price and smell because it's vegan, environmentally healthy, hair healthy, and Lush doesn't test on animals. Major plus!:)

Conditioner -Wen by Chaz Dean - Fig Cleansing Conditioner
sunflower22 12/23/2009 6:50:00 PM
This is my new HG hair product! My hair is naturally coarse and dry, medium thickness. For the past two years, I have been dyeing it blonder and blonder and done some styling damage. To make matters worse, I am hypothyroid which really affects my hair- doesn't grow, always extremely dry. I heard about this from a friend and tried the Sweet Almond Mint first. I really liked it, but needed something a bit more conditioning. I leave this in overnight and then wash it out as I take my shower in the morning. I use one pump as leave-in conditioner after my shower. (In the shower, I only use about 8 pumps- not 32 even though my hair is mid back length). My hair has literally transformed. People have noticed a difference in the shine and texture. My hair stylist was appalled at how healthy my hair is now. My hair has bounce, volume, shine, and it even holds curls better. This is definitely worth a try! UPDATE: 5/2/10 Now that Wen has literally rescued my hair from frizzy hell, the Fig is actually TOO conditioning for my hair, and I have purchased Lavender, Tea Tree, and Cucumber to figure out which I should use for my new hair type. I have been recommending Wen to everyone I know.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Pop in the Bath BBS
sunflower22 7/7/2006 12:27:00 AM
For me, this bubble bar wasn't anything truly special and didn't have any really stand-out qualities that would make me drool for more. The scent was nice, the bar was very fresh, there were a lot of bubbles, and I did feel squeaky clean, but I wasn't amazed and astounded. I might buy this again, especially if there are no other bubble bars available. Altogether, it was an enjoyable bath.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - All That Jasmine Bath Bomb
sunflower22 6/26/2006 11:01:00 PM
The water turned a beautiful blue-green turquoise color (my favorite!) and it had a very pretty smell- but it just didn't WOW me like my favorites- Big Blur and Youki-Hi. I definitely will be buying again and I recommend everyone to try this. It was a wonderful experience.

I usually don't like the food-y or candy type products but this one I have fallen in love with! The color of the water and the gorgeous not-very-food-y smell make me want to soak in the tub all day! One of the best bubble bars that I have ever tried!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Happy Hippy
sunflower22 6/18/2006 2:28:00 AM
After a long twelve hour day babysitting a seven year old, a five year old and a six month old, I was just itching to take a shower with this lovely shower gel. I love citrus scents because they make me feel so fresh and so clean and SO invigorated and this is tied with Flying Fox as my favorite shower gel of all time. I almost didn't even bother to try this gel because I really favor the bars of soap over the gels, but this has made me do a double take and I am so glad I can look foward to showers with this little beaut for a long time to come.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Honey Trap Lip Balm
sunflower22 6/14/2006 12:08:00 AM
I am in love with this lip balm! It is by far my favorite of all time- and I thought it would be impossible to beat Burt's Bees. I love the consistency and smell of this- for some reason it reminds me of Coldstone cookie dough ice cream- which I also happen to adore. So I guess that's a really good image and smell for a lip balm to evoke in me. It makes my lips intensely moisturized but not white or overly shiny. It has a pretty strong lasting power and although at first I was totally bamboozled by the container, I have now come to like it a lot- very different and creative. Overall, this is an excellent lip balm that I think everyone should give it a chance!

Treatments -LUSH - Flying Fox Temple Balm
sunflower22 6/13/2006 1:20:00 AM
As I am absolutely infatuated with the shower gel, I just had to try this. I was a little skeptical of paying so much for just a temple balm that I'll probably never use, but I am positive that this will be used up before next week! I love how the scent just seems to float off of my skin and into the air, making the whole room smell like one of my all-time favorite scents! I've fallen so hard for this! A definite must buy!

This is one of my all-time favorite scents. After falling deeply in love with the Youki-Hi bath bomb, I absolutely had to try this shower gel. I adore this stuff so much that I want to take a shower 24/7! I feel like a sultry sex kitten/ vamp who is ready to go knock 'em dead!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Youki-Hi Bath Bomb
sunflower22 5/17/2006 10:04:00 PM
This is my favorite bath bomb of all time. Hands down. The scent is so gorgeously luscious that a day later I STILL can't get over it! I don't know how to explain it, but it just brightened my day and made me feel like a goddess so much so that I was very reluctant to have to get out of the tub to go to bed. The water was a beautiful peachy-orangey pink and it still kept the beautiful scent wafting through the air even forty-five minutes later. When my bomb finished fizzling, a cute little surprise of a flower popped up and made me feel just that much more special. Even though I usually avoid glitter at all costs, the refined little pieces of gold seemed to make my skin shimmer instead of look like I was wearing huge pieces of glitter. This bomb is totally worth the price- I would pay way more than I paid for this little sucker to feel the way I felt during my bath. I am completely and utterly in love- with a bath bomb!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Chelsea Garden Bath Bomb
sunflower22 5/16/2006 10:02:00 PM
I really wanted to fall absolutely and completely in love with this gorgeous bath bomb- I mean, it's so darn pretty! It smelled beautiful; everything seemed perfect- I was ready to feel like a bath goddess surrounded by flowers and sweet smelling scents. Instead, the bomb was just okay. I usually love the LUSH bombs with fun little surprises floating in my tub (Big Blue is one of my favorites!) but instead the flowers just seemed "goopy" and I felt dirty at a time when I was supposed to feel cleanly refreshed and relaxed. I didn't smell very much of the orginal scent, so that didn't help very much. Nevertheless, I will most likely be buying another again to retry- I know I'm not supposed to judge a book by it's cover- but this bomb looks too beautiful, I just can't help it!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Ginger Soap
sunflower22 5/16/2006 8:59:00 PM
This is by far one of my favorite of all soaps that I have ever tried. The scent is very floral and yet it is spicy at the same time- I feel as if I were shopping at a spice bazaar in Morocco while in the midst of hundreds of roses. It lathers beautifully and just makes me feel sexy and sultry and refreshed all at once. A must buy!
