Mascara -Estee Lauder - Sumptuous Extreme

I love this. It makes the lashes look amazing, long, with a nice curl, but never clumpy. The colour is a nice, deep black and it isn't scented too strongly. The brush is quite big and tapered and adds a lot of volume to the lashes. With the tapered end you can reach the smaller lashes in the corner of the eyes more easily. Personally I love the fact that you can remove this mascara with warm water only. So you don't have to scrub at you eye area to get the mascara off. I do not have very oily lids, but it never smears, nor flakes. And the lashes still feel soft after application. But the thing I love the most about it, is that it has made my lashes stronger over the last 5 months of use (that's how long I've been using it every day so far-first tube). I guess because it does contain much better ingredients than the average drugstore mascara. Definetely will repurchase.

For the life of me.. I cannot get this foundation to look right on my skin. The colour match (Ecru) is perfect, but no matter how I try to put it on. It sinks into my pores, creating little pools of foundation inside and making them look enormous. And also it sits on the very fine hairs on my face, which you can't even see otherwise. Once applied I do not notice these things when I look straight into my mirror, but when I walk into the bathroom and the rays of the sun hit my face at a side angle.. Oh God. Every time I applied it, I had to take it of, because on really close inspection, I could not leave the house like that. Also, it irritates my skin and burns slightly when I touch it too much or use my stippling brush too vigorously. It's just not for me. I wish it was. But it won't work :( Other things I noticed: -better suited for oily skin -has a powdery, matte finish -dries quickly, won't budge -packaging is awful for the price segment -quite a neutral smell -definetely a foundation, you should try before the purchase!

I guess I have to say: Worth the hype! Pro: -smooth, pigmented texture -contains slight shimmer, but not visible on the skin; only makes it look glowy -perfect colour; it just looks sunkissed -the packaging is very nice with a big mirror -prefer it over Hoola; in the same ranks as my Guerlain Bronzer Con: -contains parabens - I heard that it cracks easily -of course, it is expensive and here in Germany not that easy to get your hands on.

Love this product. It's perfectly moisturizing and sinks in quickly. Also it feels cooling as it's applied to the skin and it's my favourite eye cream so far. I use a lot of concealer under my eyes and this works well underneath. Only the smell isn't amazing. But it doesn't bother me as it is very faint.

Bronzers -Guerlain - Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzing Powder
summer028 1/4/2012 3:03:00 PM
Pro: - this bronzer has the perfect colour and 02 brunettes works perfectly on my rather pale skin - it's reasonably pigmented, so you only need a small amount - the finish is matte, but the consistency is very smooth and it looks perfectly natural - it has 4 different shades, so you can mix your perfect shade according to your skintone - the packaging is very luxurious, rather heavy with a mirror inside - it lasts a very long time. I've used it everyday for 6 months now and not even the logo on top of the powder has vanished. Con: - very expensive - the scent is indeed rather strong (but I like it) All in all this is my favourite matte bronzer. I like it a lot more than Hoola by benefit..

I had this in a little sample jar that came with a set and I'm glad I didn't pay the full price for this. I didn't like this eye cream at all. During the nights I would wake up, because my eyes were burning and watering like crazy. And in the mornings I had those disgusting crusts around my eyes, like I had pink eye. Also the fine lines under my eyes looked worse. This is definitely nothing for my sensitive eyes.

Powder -Laura Mercier - Mineral Powder SPF 15

I love this product. I have it in the colour 'real sand' and I use it on an every day basis. The coverage can be built up easily, depending on the application. My Bobbi Brown Kabuki for a light coverage or my Sigmax Flat Top for a medium/heavy coverage. The finish is not as powdery as I had expected, but really glowy. It doesn't mattify at all, which is not a problem for me. Actually I really quite like that. I've been using it for about a year and there still is more than half of it in the container.

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

I have this in the colour 'nude' and it is a perfect fit. The coverage is light, yet still considerably stronger than your average tinted moisturizer. It evens out the skin tone nicely and lasts hours on my skin without getting shiny. The skin looks really, really nice and you do not look like you're wearing anything. It would be overall perfect, if not for the fact that when I wear it for a few days straight, it breaks me out :( Also, I find the packaging quite messy. Somehow a lot of product gets into the lid whenever I open and close it.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere

This is my favourite foundation at the moment. I have this in 20 and although it has a very strong yellow undertone, I can make it work by blending it well into my neck. The coverage is light/medium and the finish is very even and glowy. Because it is very moisturizing, I skip my moisturizer in the mornings when I use it. My skin is quite normal, but it would definitely get too shiny if I wore a moisturizer underneath it. The best part of this foundation, I find, is that it doesn't break me out. And that is very rare for me. I don't use foundation everyday, so this will probably last me a long time. I would recommend this for people with a dry to normal skin who do not need a lot of coverage. To people with oily or oily/combination skin: You'd better stay away from this, because it could just melt off your face... Although every skin reacts differently, so you might give it a try anyway :)

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
summer028 2/17/2011 1:42:00 PM
I reveiced a little sample of this and really was very excited to try it. But I have to say I wasn't very impressed. I found it a little hard to blend as it was very watery and 'stained' my skin. I tried to blend it in my neck, but it looked patchy and somehow felt dry. It's hard to describe, but it just didn't glide on smoothly. Once I had it on my skin it looked good. But my skin is not bad in the first place and somehow it just did not add anything to it. No glow, no refined skin.. After a few hours I saw nothing of it on my skin anymore. It wasn't bad, but not worth the money.
