Mascara -Rimmel - Scandal Eyes
summ83 2/15/2012 10:01:00 PM
Worst Mascara EVER. Wet, clumpy, ugh. The brush is clumsy, the product is horrid and it did nothing for my lashes but make them filled with goo. I would have had a better result if i had mixed black shadow and olive oil together, and smeared it over my lashes.Awful! Save your money girls, and don't bother. Five minutes later and it's still wet!

Misc Beauty Tools -Ardell - False Lashes-101 Demi
summ83 8/19/2010 7:06:00 AM
I was soooooo excited to get these. I live in Australia, and after watching reviews and tutorials on youtube that always featured ardell lashes, i was about to ebay some when low and behold, they became available in au! And i was not disappointed! The glue is great, much better than the manicare one that had the monopoly over cheaper lash glue here, (and also stung the eyes)and the lash band is so soft and flexible, even a beginner would find them easy to apply. I have very long and curly lashes to begin with, and these blended in perfectly with my own, with out mascara they look just like mineafter 3 coats, but MUCH better. Love them, my only gripe is i wish the band was just a teeny bit longer, but it's noting that a few individual lashes won't fix.

Mascara -Maybelline - XXL Extensions
summ83 8/14/2010 11:32:00 PM
I really wanted to love this mascara. I was in love with illegal lengths before it was discontinued, then moved on to xxl. I was hoping the xxl lash extensions would be like a combination of both...it is not. The primer i sort of like, although it is a little tricky to get used to, as if you apply it from base to tip it just clumps. Badly. Tammy Fay Baker clumpy. So my tip is to just apply it to the very ends of your lashes, you can see the tiny fibers clinging to the tips and it does add length. So thats a half pro. Then the mascara. I hate it. It has a funny smell like lash stilleto and I'm pretty sure i could buy a no name mascara from the dolar store and it would do the same job. So basically i paid $20 Au for a teeny bit of primer that i can only use on the tips of my lashes, that i have to team with colossal volume. Save yourself the money girls, if you want long lashes, use Rimmel glamoureyes. I get asked if i'm wearing false lashes with that.

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes

K, i'm a bit of a mascara freak and i'm usually very fussy, but i love this product. The first time i wore it i got asked if my lashes were real which i love, but it's that versitile you can make it look more subdued depending on how many coats you apply. I have already got two family members addicted to it, and they love it too.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal
summ83 9/2/2009 2:16:00 AM
I love this mascara! To be honest i think all of the people complaining about it simply arent applying it correctly. It gives alot of volume and great length, though i do at times find the large brush a little clumsy, (I'm used to the newer rubber brushes now) it's well worth the extra few seconds it takes to perfect the application. Never flakes, smudges and stays put all day. Simply lovely.

Skincare -Jurlique - Day Cream
summ83 12/28/2008 7:08:00 AM
I love love love this product. even though it's a day cream, the fist time i tried it was at night (i get excited when i buy something new and have to try it) I woke up with my skin feeling moist and baby soft. It was morning and i looked radiant. Such a lovely product, i don't think it would be suitable to oily skins, and you have to use it sparingly, but it's just luscious. I'd never usually pay this much, but i will def be buying this again.

Mascara -Maybelline - Illegal Lengths Mascara
summ83 10/15/2007 10:28:00 PM
I was in LOVE with this mascara. It was the god of all mascara's, and they stopped making it! I love their XXL mascara, but could you imagine how amazing your lashes would be if you primed them with the XXL primer than used illegal lengths.? *sigh* I will never get to try it. We should all write to Maybelline and beg them to bring it back!

Mascara -Rimmel - Xtreme Volume-Instant Full Volume Comb Mascara
summ83 9/4/2007 10:40:00 PM
Ugh, worst mascara EVER. Its absolutely horrid, thick, chalky clumpy, takes for ever to dry. You end up with about 5 massively clumped eyelashes on each eye, WORSE that Tammy faye! Plus it runs, bleh. I had to totally redo my whole face the first (and only) time i used it it looked that bad, i had to start all over. Save your money and dont buy it!

Fragrances -J. Lo - Miami Glow
summ83 9/4/2007 10:32:00 PM
i like it, but it doesnt seem to last on me and does not smell at all like summer time as other posters have described. Maybe Australian beaches and summer time smell different from American ones, but the chemical hair product smell of this perfume is def not beachy at all.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
summ83 9/4/2007 10:29:00 PM
This is such a good product for me. I have normal skin that gets a little oily in summer, and find i MUST moisturise before i apply this product. It gives great coverage that is easily buildable, (even covers my dark circles) and have never had a problem with it slipping or getting oily. Its also really easy to blend bronzers and shadows over. Can look a little chalky if you get a shade that is to light, but all matte foundations do if you pick the wrong shade. Love the yellow based tone is probably my fav foundation.

Polishes -Rimmel - 60 Seconds Nail Polish
summ83 9/4/2007 10:24:00 PM
For about $6.00 Australian, i am impressed. I buy a vibrant red shade (forget the name) gives great coverage, dries very quickly and stays chip free for a few days if i use a top coat. Very good quality for such a teeny price.

Foundations -Rimmel - Rimmel Cool Matte 16hr Foundation
summ83 9/4/2007 9:18:00 PM
Ugh, Im sorry I spent money on this foundation. I usually use Maybelline dream matte mousse, and thought this would be of a similar quality. I was very wrong. I have normal skin, gets a little dry in winter so i use a heavier moisturiser. Even that doesnt help this product, it is so hard to blend, has ineffective coverage and makes skin look ashy and sickly. It is also hard to blend over the yellow based concealer I use under my eyes, and i find my eyeshadow and bronzer are next to impossible to blend over it, it seems to make even the best quality powder products impossible to blend. The colour (I have used the same colour, 200 soft beige in their other foundations) changes once applied to the skin, and is alot paler than their other ranges. It also does not last the promised 16 hours. Will never buy this product again, was not impress at all.

Mascara -Maybelline - INTENSE XXL mascara
summ83 9/4/2007 9:02:00 PM
This is easily THE BEST mascara i have ever had the pleasure of using! I absolutely adore it, if i could only have one beauty item for the rest of my life, this would be it. I constantly get asked if Im wearing false eye lashes, and although my natural lashes are very long (thanks mums genes) when I use this it adds at least a third to their length, they almost touch my brows. The undercoat is amazing, you can see the tiny fibers that cling to the end of the lash if you look closely. It also seems to help to seperate my lashes before i apply the actual mascara, though I dont recommend letting the undercoat dry completely before you apply the mascara. The actual mascara is truley the blackest black, and never flakes, clumps etc. It is also sooooooo easy to remove if you get a little on your eye shadow, with a dry Q tip, and washes of easily when you take your make up off. Buy this product and you wont regret it, i cant recommend it highly enough. And I must add, to get volume at the base of lashes, I roll the brush over the base of lashes repeatedly, then wiggle it to the tip.

Hair Color -Garnier - 100% Color [DISCONTINUED]
summ83 9/4/2007 8:53:00 PM
I'll start with the condition of my hair, it is very fine, had no colour in it, and is shoulder length with layers. I used 630 intense light golden brown. I was actually a little scared to lighten my hair at home, but Im glad i took the plunge. It didnt lighten my hair half as much as promised, but, starting from a medium-dark golden brown (my natural colour) it did lighten it by about 2, maybe 3 shades, and actually looks as though it has subtle highlights (bonus!!). Its a very multi dimensional colour in the sun, and to be honest, my hair has not felt this soft and shiney for a long time. I would recommend that if you have medium to thick hair, to buy 2 packs or more, as even in my very fine hair, i had barely enough product to give even coverage. For fine haired girls, our hair feels damaged and breaks easily, but I HIGHLY recommend this to my fine haired sisters! I also mixed the intensive conditioner that came with the pack with my own loreal anti breakage conditioner, (which I think added to the softness of my hair.) I will def but this product again, it lived up to its ease of application and no-drip promise, although the colour wasnt as light as it promised on the pack, it was pretty darn good for $13. aus.
