Lip Treatments -Avon - Winter Parade Lip Balm - Cinnamon
sugarplumsunday 4/5/2004 8:11:00 PM
Wow, insanely red lip balm! I thought the idea of a cinnamon lip balm sounded wonderful, so I was so excited to get this. I wore it for the day with no idea that it was making me look like a deranged clown. Didn't help my chapped lips, but I could have forgiven that... I got a cold sore the next day (not that this caused it, but I'm pretty sure it triggered it). Can't wear this due to the awful color though. I'd still love to find a clear cinnamon lip balm.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Complete Moisture Lip Balm
sugarplumsunday 3/25/2003 11:56:00 AM
This is my perfect lip balm. I love the "wet" feeling upon first applying it. This was also the only lip balm that got me through this winter; most of them stung or felt gunky, and none other than this actually helped my lips (besides my Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment). Pretty tube, pleasant citrus-y scent (without being overpowering) and the price just can't be beat ($1.50). I keep one in my purse, one on my nightstand, and one in my cosmetics case.

Shampoo -Fudge - The Shampoo
sugarplumsunday 3/7/2003 10:03:00 AM
I LOVE this shampoo. Smells soooo delicious, thick and creamy, cleans gently, and leaves my hair bouncy and shiny. I have fine, color treated dry hair, and this is perfect. I wasn't a fan of the pumps, but I simply put on regular squeeze caps, and it's great. Smells like vanilla & a bit of cocoa, but isn't too strong. $6

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fresh Foaming Cleanser
sugarplumsunday 2/27/2003 1:48:00 PM
This is a staple for me. It takes care of all my waterproof eye makeup, makes my skin feel clean without irritation or breakouts. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but it's definitely better than most other cleansers scents (or those mentholated ones that sting my eyes).

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Winter Candy Apple
sugarplumsunday 12/9/2002 6:56:00 PM
All I could think was: hairspray, right? Pinpoint a bit more... ah, yes, smells like Salon Selectives, to be exact. I've heard people say it smells like caramel apples, but all can smells is the artificial super-sweet apple.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Warm Vanilla Sugar body splash
sugarplumsunday 11/6/2002 11:27:00 AM
This is a kind of a harsh vanilla. It's got this sharpness to it that burns my eyes sometimes. It reminds me a lot of Vanilla Fields, more perfume-y than vanilla. I prefer softer edible vanillas, but this is nice for a winter non-foody scent.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Body Splash
sugarplumsunday 10/18/2002 4:46:00 PM
I bought this after I fell so completely in love with the lotion that I just *had* to have the splash too. To me, this smells *nothing* like the lotion. It's mostly alcohol, with a weird almost vanilla-y dry down (more like a chemical scent with a hint of vanilla). I'll definitely be stocking up on the lotion, but I returned the splash this morning.

Gels/Soaps -Sarah Michaels - Extra Creamy Body Wash
sugarplumsunday 10/17/2002 5:56:00 PM
I just noticed the new Sarah Michaels stuff at Walmart, and thought I'd check it out, not expecting to be impressed or anything. And I took a sniff of the Vanilla Sugar and knew I had to have it. This doesn't smell like Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar (Walmart does have their own brand that smells very similar to BBW though), this smells more like a foody vanilla, not too strong. Tested it out, and sure enough, soft skin, soft scent of vanilla... absolutely dreamy. Perhaps my new holy grail body wash?

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Body Lotion
sugarplumsunday 10/15/2002 5:12:00 PM
Yum! I am loving this! I hear this is the same as last year's Sugared Shortbread, but I wasn't impressed with it last year... A perfect buttery creamy vanilla scent, I can't stop sniffing my arm! I'm definitely stocking up on this one!

Shampoo -Joico - Color Endurance Color Lock Shampoo
sugarplumsunday 9/25/2002 2:07:00 PM
Doesn't help keep any more color than any other color-safe shampoos do; it does however leave my hair feeling dirty. And I'm not sure how I feel about the sweet tart smell.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Bakery - Body Creme
sugarplumsunday 9/1/2002 10:14:00 AM
I just applied my Lemon Meringue Pie to my arm to give my most accurate review :) This creme smells heavenly (more lemony, less cake-y than the Lemon Pound Cake). Smooths on nicely, leaving skin silky soft and not at all greasy. The jar is very cute; I'll be sure not to get it wet because it would probably run (but that's my on;y complaint!) Still can't stop sniffing my arm! I ordered it Wednesday, it arrived Saturday (not bad for Illinois -> New Hampshire). Wonderful raves for this! I will be buying more!

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Shine Delice - All colors [DISCONTINUED]
sugarplumsunday 7/23/2002 12:10:00 PM
Very pretty, I have Bubble-lish (a beigey pink) and Coffee Blast (a nice light nude beige). These are very light and sheer, but feel soft and creamy and smell delicious without being over powering. More like a gloss than a lipstick, it's my perfect everyday lipstick; with subtle colors, soft feeling, without feeling like I've got layers of goop all over my lips. Easy to apply even without a mirror. The case is a pretty irridescent beige too; it's a pretty little case that looks nice on my dresser.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Wet Shine Diamonds - Gem Crushed Merlot
sugarplumsunday 7/23/2002 11:50:00 AM
This is the nicest sparkly red I've ever tried! Think ruby slippers. The commercial cheats as far as 'wet shine' goes... but I don't think any tube lipstick could produce shine like that. This lipstick definitely sparkles. I really like the consistency of these lipsticks, light, glossy, flavor/odor free. The microglitter adds a tiny amount of grittiness, but for those sparkles, its SO worth it.

Fragrances -Fresh - Sugar EDP
sugarplumsunday 7/23/2002 11:41:00 AM
I wasn't going to order this from Sephora, after I heard it smelled like lemon pledge, but with the return policy I figured I'd give it a shot. I have to say, I'm quite pleased. I wanted to love it, and I did. It was exactly what I expected... like lemonade with brown sugar. It's very very lemony at first, slightly Pledge-y, but soon after it dries down to a lemon drop, and in an hour, it's a lemony caramel brown sugar scent. I love wearing this!
