Makeup Brushes -MAC - 167sh brush LE

I almost swapped or returned this brush because I wasn't quite sure what to use it for. I tried using it for powder foundation & I didn't like it because personally I like a less fluffly brush for pf so I can control where I place it (I have dry skin & do not want it all over where it cam age me). Then I decided to use it for highlighters such as Mac MSF's & then bronzers too & I feel in love! SO I went & got 2 more =) 1 for blush, 1 for highlighter, & 1 for bronzer. Very natural looking application. If I want a more intense blush look I use Mac 109, and intense bronzer 138, & 165 for intense highlighter. I'm glad I gave the 167sh another chance, it turned out to be a lovely multi-purpose brush!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Last Lipstick in Dollhouse Pink

Gorgeous color! I actually use this on my lips & cheeks - it makes me look 10 years younger =) It is extremely pigmented so I do blend it out quite a bit with my fingers but it lasts like a dream even with my constant need to drink water throughout the day. I am extremely impressed with Wet N Wild lipsticks in general! =)

I was a little skeptical about this really working at brightening your eyes. I was terrified at how blue it is lol but it actually works!!! I can wear this alone and look totally well rested or I can wear this under a shadow as a primer & dab a lil in my inner corner of my eye & voila: instant pick me up! You really can't go wrong with Laura Mercier, she knows her stuff!!!

Eyeliner -Stila - Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz

I could not get this to look good on me! It's highly pigmented so I guess it would work better for night-time use but during the day it made me look un-natural. I tried Pixi Eye Bright Liner No.1 - Nude from Target & I love it, its such a magical liner!!! They're about the same price but the only difference is that you have to sharpen Stila's & the Pixi one is automatic.

Eyeliner -Pixi - Eye Bright Liner No.1 - Nude

Apparently this is exclusive to Target, I actually adore this brand! This liner blew me away tho because I've always heard how lining your inner rim with a white liner can instantly open up your eyes & make u look more awake but I can't pull off white with my NC20 skin tone, it looks too harsh. I've tried Stila's Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz (which is also a nude color) but that was just waaaaaay too noticeable & I don't like that look for work. This brand is a bit pricey so I'd compare their pricing more to higher end lines so even though it's sold in a drug store, I wouldn't exactly call it that. I am IN LOVE!!!!

Now this is a steal!!! I got this @ Whole Foods for $3.99 I think - omg it's amazing! I use to only use this @ night only but then I started using it in the morning too & I started getting so many complements on my skin! I have a tendency to over-use products lol & by that I mean to use too much but I've learned that a lil is waaaaaaaay better than looking like u can fry eggs on your face lol! I got this for all my family & friends!!! A+++++++++++++++

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
sudali 1/9/2012 2:21:00 PM

SOOOOOOOOOOO worth the $$$ =) When my skin is dry this makes me look so glowy & healthy but even when my skin is combo this looks absolutely breath taking, so natural lokking but definitely has enough coverage to cover my redness & any dark spots! I only need a lil & I look damn good lol =) I use to apply this with my fingers but now use a brush like F84 or ELF flat top & it blends it in well! I have literally tried every foundation out there & this is one of my faves!!! Next I wanna try the Diorskin Nude Hydrating Concealer =)

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free - Fawn

I was really hoping to like this since it's a best seller & I absolutely adore LM's products usually; however, while this does provide some coverage, I just don't see the point in using it if it's so sheer? I rather just go bare. I can't justify using this at its outrageous price for a bit of coverage & only spf 20? I need at least spf 30+. I just purchased a tinted sunscreen by Bioderma with a Spf of 50+ & I much prefer that to the LM & it's more affordable.

Blush -Maybelline - Bouncy Blush - Hot Tamale
rated 3 of 5
sudali 1/9/2012 1:34:00 PM

I purchased all the pink shades offered in the Bouncy Blushes & Hot Tamale (Walgreens has a buy one get one half off sale) & Hot Tamale (kinda reddish toned) was the only one that showed up well on my skin tone. The texture is weirder than weird lol. I ended up returning them all. They were a fail for me, bummer cuz there's not that many options when it comes to drug store cream blushers. I seriously rather use my lipstick as a blush than these!

Moisturizers -Bobbi Brown - Extra Face Oil
rated 5 of 5

I am reallllllly into oils right now! I've tried: Vitamin E oil, Rosehip oil, Argan oil, and this BB oil. Right now I have Combo skin & I used this BB oil last night & woke up with glowy skin (my husband even commented on how great my skin looks (but I do get really dry skin after I perform at home chemical peels so I need oils more so then). Most of the oils I use have only 1 ing. lol =) I don't know if I'd re-purchase this tho cuz I feel I could try other oils like Emu or Jojoba or Meadowfoam for a fraction of the price, with BB I'm really paying for the brand. This would be a luxurious splurge for me if I decide to buy again.

Mascara -Maybelline - The Falsies Flared Waterproof
rated 1 of 5
sudali 12/14/2011 1:08:00 PM

Ewwww, my lashes looked awful with this mascara on: clumpy, wet, gross. I much prefer the regular Falsies to the Flared. I also had the hardest time removing this even with Lancome's make-up remover, literally took forever to get it all off.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Retin-A 0.05%
rated 5 of 5
sudali 12/14/2011 1:00:00 PM

THE BEST investment you can make for your skin. I've been using .1% retinol for years & I strongly recommend starting out by using it every other night because it is STRONG! Now you may not be as crazy as I am to start off with the highest strength but I figure if I'm gonna do something, I'm gonna do it right! Lately, I've switched to the .5% & I'm really liking how much more gentle it is! Ok, I've used the generic version (Tretinoin) & I will never try to save money by using the generic again! Here's why: It is normal to experience skin problems, such as dryness, redness, itching, breaking out and blistering for the first 2 weeks of use but after the initial 2 weeks of use of the generic Retin-A those side-effects did not go away! In fact, I used the whole tube every night which lasted me almost a year & it was as if I just started using it =( I've been using the brand name every night for the last 6 months & my skin is in the best shape ever!!! =) For the first 2 weeks that you have to suffer for your skin to adjust, my doctor recommended: Cortizone-10 Intensive Healing Formula Cream 1% Hydrocortisone which can be found @ your local drug store (Ultra creamy formula helps heal problem skin. * Clinically proven to moisturize 24 hours * #1 doctors recommended itch medicine * Calms, nourishes, hydrates * Safe for sensitive skin * With antioxidants & chamomile.) I initially used Retin-A in my teens for acne purposes which I am no longer suffering from but now my dermatologist kept me on it for anti-wrinkle purposes. It is the best anti-aging treatment you will ever find but you have to be careful to use only a pea sized amount or your face will get SO DRY!!! Also do not go in the sun for prolonged periods of time even with high SPF - you will get a sun burn even if you don't normally burn easily! The key ingredient is Vitamin A which gets de-activated by sunlight so only use it at night before you go to sleep or else you will waste your product. Also very important, you have to wait 30 minutes after you wash your face to apply retinol because your face has to be completely dry. Just a lil secret of mine: Vitamin A works way better when combined with vitamin E & C. But there are different types of vitamin E so you have to find the DL Alpha Tocopherol version. It's more effective than Tocopherol acetate (for reference: info found in Dr. Oz's book "YOU: Staying Young" or "YOU: Staying Beautiful" - I own both books so I'll update once I look up which book it is. =) I prefer Nature's Bounty Vitamin E Oil (3,0000 IU Topical & Oral) & I use Vitamin C serum from Mario Badescu. The only moisturizer that's helped me during the day has been Jurlique Moisturizing Day Cream! And I do not use other exfoliating products daily such as the Clarisonic or any scrubs; however, when I plan to do a TCA or Glycolic acid or Lactic acid peel, I dis-continue use of the Retin-A for 7-10 days before performing the peel, then again wait 7-10 days after peel to resume use of the Retin-A! =)

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Prime shadow - Bronzed Twig
rated 2 of 5
sudali 12/12/2011 2:23:00 PM

I was realllllllly looking forward to trying this & I'm really bummed that the color is not as beautiful as I expected it to be =( I think it's super small too which sux! The only good thing I have to say if you wanna try the other colors is that the packaging was impressive, it controlled the amount you dispense very well.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - # 239 Eye Shader Brush
rated 3 of 5
sudali 12/5/2011 2:06:00 PM

I've purchased this brush 3 separate times & ended up swapping them all every time because it's too small for my large eye lid space & I feel like it just doesn't pack the product on very well =( I am gonna try the 252 & update.I actually don't think the 275 is bad at all but I prefer using that for my crease or corner work.
