Lotions/ Creams -TheFACEShop - Rich Hand Cuticle & Nail Balm

Great little product. Have only recently just rediscover mine after i found it in my drawer - thinking i had lost it! Its so portable and really creates smooth cuticles! The smell is not offensive and the price is quite reasonable. As others have mentioned, if you over apply to your cuticles it can be greasy and will takes ages to soak in, but a little goes a long way. If you apply a small amount, it actually dries quite well! Give this a whirl before you try burts bees or badger. You might be pleasantly surprised and may even some some hard earned cash! :)

Fragrances -BeneFit Cosmetics - Ring My Bella
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 12/29/2011 3:59:00 AM

Always wanted to buy this so badly when it first came out, but AU$60 for a tiny bottle of perfume is just far too csotly for me. Then, i popped by Benefit yesterday and they had a whole bunch of Bella bottles half price at AU$29! So, instantly i bought it. It was a great price. This has a strong and distinct smell, but its alluring, feminine, flirty and very wearable. Ive worn it for a few hours now and people are already asking what im wearing. WINNER! I t can be quite strong, so id say to be careful in not over-spraying. You may give others or yourself a headache if you do :P LOVE the lingerie shop concept, the packaging is divine. I love lingerie, so this is also why i was drawn to it. For ages, Sofia (also by Benefit) had been my signature scent, but i really like to alternate between these two. i also have lee lee and eva, but theres something special about bella. i feel like the smell does lose a little power over time, but perhaps this could just be me getting used to the scent and not being able to smell it much. would love to see a body lotion of this. At the retail price, id say its a little steep but its Benefit and its cute so thats why youre paying top dollar. If you ladies see it at half proce over in your country, id say - dont even over think it, just get it. You won';t be sorry you did! :)

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hervana
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 11/14/2011 9:10:00 PM

More specific product review coming soon! As for packaging, i can say, as with the other flip top lids that it's not terrible, but i prefer the non-hinge old lids. Less likely to break. The mirror is so handy, though. as for the name and colours of the box - adorable. Such a cute little box and a great concept. Price-wise, this is not the cheapest, but like the rest of Benefit's great blushers, this will last for ages. It seriously will take some time before you hit the pan! More to come shortly :P

Lip Gloss -Stila - Kitten Lip Glaze
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 9/13/2011 9:03:00 PM

I, too, had never tried Stila before, but am a HUGE fan of this glaze! Firstly, the smell is divine. Like honey? Vanilla? Not sure, but its delicious :) I was weary at first about the colour, because usually i steer clear of bronze and go for pinks, but it is truly flattering. I can imagine the shade working for almost anyone for any outfit. At first, i kept twisting and nothing came out :( But then a big glob surfaced at the tip. Had i know, i would have twisted a little more carefully :P So i over-applied initially, and it seemed quite sticky, but after a few mins the shine and colour were AMAZING and the stickiness had gone away almost completely. I can see why this is a cult classic. As for price, $22 US dollars seems fair to me, but at Mecca Cosmetica (our try-hard version of Sephora but way smaller) it retails for $48 AU dollars. Excuse me if i sound cheap, but HELLZ NO. Wasting a $50 note on a tiny lip gloss? Uh, no. Thats disgusting and robbery on the highway. Not even the super-high Australian prices at the Benefit counters will charge that much for a Benefit gloss - and they're usually overpriced. I dont think Sephora or Stila website ship to Australia, but if anyone knows of a legitimate retailer that will ship here, let me know. So all in all, at the US price, this is a great buy. Excellent formula, fantastic smell, gorgeous colour and long-lasting wear. Big fan. Will absolutely repurchase at the US price and will recommend to anyone who'll listen ;)

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - Watt's Up!
rated 4 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 8/8/2011 8:14:00 AM

Yay, i can now review this! :) I quote like this new little product from Benefit. I've never tried a Nars Multiple stick, but the design of the stick itself reminds me alot of it. Cant say i can compare the quality or price of the two because ive only tried Watt's Up. This does give quite a lovely champagne glow, but it pretty concentrated (id like to think that it has the concentration of High Beam liquid illuminator- also by Benefit, but in stick form) The cream to powder finish is quite lovely, but with the concentration, overswiping will leave you looking way over-the-top. So basically, use it sparingly, and you're good. Ive never used a stick form of illuminator/highlighter before, but one thing that annoys me (just a little pet peeve) is swiping it over makeup. Doesn't that mean the stick keeps all your other makeup on it? Ive tried gently wiping the product each time with a tissue, but you lose too much, and this product isnt overly generous with the amount. Im pretty fussy about the cleanliness of my products and their brushes etc, so the little sponge thing does the same. It just builds up residue from your existing makeup or skin cells if you are wearing it bare faced. So, to combat this, i just wash my little sponge applicator with anti-bacterial soap afterim done. This works, but my sponge wont get rid of the soap-ey smell :P lol Probs sounds a little fussy, but why spread germs/other makeup when you dont have to. As for the packaging, the box deign is cute with the bulb and all, but the little slide-cover cardboard box is such a short cut by Benefit. I prefer proper packaging, considering that this product really isnt the cheapest thing ever. The metallic colours and shape of the tube itself are really cute. I dont really think you cant o wrong with this little stick of happiness. I think it would suit just about all skin tones, but maybe light-dark a little more than pale. Absolutely worth trying out before you buy. I just bought it without sampling and am pretty happy that i did. Yay to a new cream highlighter by Benefit. I will make it feel right at home with my High Beam and Girl meets Pearl. ps. i saw a link on the Benefit facebook page where they show two different skin tones and do swatches of High beam, moon beam, girl meets pearl and watt's up all next to each other. Very useful:)

Fragrances -BeneFit Cosmetics - In the Garden of Good and Eva
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 8/2/2011 8:09:00 AM

I agree with the reviewer below, this is amazing! Bought it today and do not regret it. At first all i smelled was a garden filled with plats and flowers. I was taken aback by it at first, but now im totally hooked! Ive already had comments the first day wearing it. I love the design of the bottle too! It is quite pricey, but if used sparingly is totally worth it. After wearing its floral with a hint of garden and a touch of fruit and maybe vanilla. The perfect feminine fragrance. My fave is Sofia from the CR perfume range, but this might just replace it. New signature scent, here we come! :) Definitely worth giving a go - try the little samples if in doubt (eeeeebayyyy!) <3

Treatments -Origins - Super Spot Remover
rated 4 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 8/1/2011 3:54:00 AM

I bought this when the store had a mini GWP - purchase any Origins product and get the skin firmers etc little boxes of miniatures. So basically i bought this as it was teh cheapest Origins product and any purchase qualified for that little box (which i wanted oh so much!). Its true, a little stinging at first, but i think that it will heal pimples in 3-4 days in stead of 5-6. Its not a miracle worker on my skin, but definitely does something. The smell is alright, just dont put it on and see people straight away, you'll smell like a bunch of herbs and plants etc :P Overall, not a bad formulation. I want to try Mario Badescu Healing Lotion or whatever its called :P But am worried that ill waste my money in comparison to this. According to the reviews, im probs best to stick to this one. Well worth a try, the whole Origins skincare range is immaculate. :)

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Mascara
rated 4 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 7/9/2011 6:00:00 AM

I won this little sample tube off Clinique on Twitter and i am quite impressed. It goes on so well with out clumps. The more you try to load on though, the more clumpier it becomes. After about 2 coats, my lashes still look natural and lovely. Just a little bolder and defined. I agree, the sparkly forest-green tube is so so cute! Im usually a waterproof gal and im not sure if this comes in waterproof. Clinique is great, but quite pricey. I think that if this came in WP id probably purchase it, but im still on the fence with the normal formula. I have quite oily eyelids and rub my eyes quite a bit so i need something that will not budge. Fantastic effort from a great brand, though. Definitely worth getting your hands on a sample, you might just be as impressed as i am without regretting paying full price. Plus, the mini has a great brush and is the most AMAZING travel-size! YAY!

Masks -Mario Badescu - Enzyme Revitalizing Mask
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 6/27/2011 8:42:00 AM

This is great. I too hate that the oil settles on top, but it smells awesome! Really leaves the skin quite glowing, fresh and clean. Im not sure why, but its great. I only have the small sample size but im so impressed! I think i may purchase full size. So many masks to clean up in my house though :P Really gets results. To save you ker-ching ($$$), try getting your hands on a mini tub. It'll last you a while too! Will recommned and buy full-size! <3

Masks -Mario Badescu - silver powder
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 6/27/2011 8:36:00 AM

This is great stuff. Im so disappointed to hear it didn't work for some ladies. Ive been lazy with it of late, but if used 1-2 times a week, there is a noticeable difference. Some blackheads disappear, but some stay. The most annoying this is how it flakes everywhere! On your clothes, the floor etc. Sure its small powders grains easily swept, but don't wear good clothes when doing so! It also is kinda hard to get off and leaves the face feeling weird, like it needs to be scrubbed to get the film off. But if you wash off with a scrub in the shower or use toner or something, silky smooth skin awaits you! I'm so impressed. I was pretty skeptical about this, but when the sales guy in-store gave me a facial with it and other MB/Origins products i was so happy! Definitely worth a go, if you can get your hands on a sample!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - La Senza - Body Kiss Indulgent Swirl Cream: Kiss Me, Cupcake
rated 5 of 5
strawberrycupcake123 6/27/2011 8:06:00 AM

OH MY GOODNESS. I have found my HG body lotion. Absolutely perfect! I totally adore the cute swirl of the cream. Some very clever machines did that. As a HUGE fan of anything cupcake flavored, this is perfect. Smells like a vanilla cupcake. Its not too strong, but sweet enough for you to get noticed. Helllllllllllooooooooo, compliments! People loved me smelling like an edible baked good :D The pump makes it easy and disperses the perfect amount of lotion. Its so easy to use and such a cute bottle. The bottle, if you look carefully, shows some lovely shimmer on the inside, but to be honest its quite minimal on the skin. Barely noticeable and definitely not garish by any means. As a sister brand of VS, i think they modelled this on the Beauty Rsh line. Ive never tried teh Beauty rish swirl cream, but id love to know how this one stacks up in comparison to 'Cupquake' flavour. Maybe that one is more a chocolate cupcake? Who knows :P In Australia these are $14/95 each, but on sale you can grab them at the bargain price of 2 for $20. This includes 2 of any of the Body Kiss beauty line items for this price. This cream, i tells ya, is SO addictive and i LOVELOVELOVE it! *squeal* Once on your hand, it may smell weird. I tried it before heading into work and once teh smell settled into my skin, my hand was stuck to my wrist all day. Lovely! Absolutely worth the money, and so moisturizing. Not as heavy as a perfume, so great for light-medium fragranced skin. Try this and i doubt that you wont fall in love. Will certainly repurchase and am recommending to anyone who'll listen! :P
