Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Extase Flash Plumping Mascara
stephanie32082 12/11/2010 11:29:00 AM
I rarely ever repurchase a mascara partially because there are so many others to try and partially because no mascara impresses me enough for a repurchase. Diorshow Extase is an exception to this rule! I love this mascara. It's super expensive but totallly worth the price. I have short, naturally curled lashes and this mascara really opens up my eyes. It's lengthening and volumizing at the same time. It's doesn't make lashes hard or crunch and it lasts all day. The price may be steep but I would definately repurchase :)

Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover
stephanie32082 11/23/2010 7:01:00 PM
I've bought the full size version in the past but I really only use this when I receive it as a GWP. It's nice and it would be my number one eye makeup remover if Clinique Take Off The Day Remover for Lids (the purple one!) was discontinued. It is expensive. And I like the Clinique one slightly better because of the cost and its not oily as the Lancome one can be at times. So for now I will continue to use it as a GWP item because my Clinique Take Off The Day is my HG!

Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover
stephanie32082 10/16/2010 10:31:00 PM
This is my HG eye makeup remover. I've been using this for years. It takes off the heaviest of eye makeups from mascara to all types of liners. It's not the most expensive of eye makeup removers however it isn't cheap either ($21.50 CAD). I prefer Take off the Day over Bi-Ficil (too oily) and I will continue to purchase this. Other than price, the only other suggestion I would make to Clinique is to change the cap. Sometimes I think it doesn't close properly and it may leake if you are travelling. However, the sample sized ones (with the green lid) are much better and don't leak. A new type of cap would be great but this is a non-issue for me as I take the small sample bottles when travelling and the full size one stays home.

Polishes -MAC - Nightfall
stephanie32082 9/27/2010 11:05:00 PM
Gorgeous colour! I've had this bottle for a while. It's a dark gunmetal gray with tiny grayish blue flecks inside. MAC polishes are nice the they don't wear as long as my usual OPI. I'm sure this colour can be duped but nonetheless, its a nice beautiful fall colour and great for shot nails. I would repurchase.

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Raspberry Sorbet 3-in-1
stephanie32082 7/9/2008 5:16:00 PM
Blah....this did nothing for me. I basically used it as a body wash. The scent was not memorable nor was the lather any good. I much prefer The Body Shop. Definitely not buying any more Philosophy 3 in 1's anymore.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Cool Moisture Body Wash
stephanie32082 3/12/2007 12:35:00 AM
Blah. This did nothing for me. The scent was really indifferent to me but it is moisturizing. It honestly didn't do anything for me that another drug store body wash can't do. I will not be repurchasing.

Treatments -Infusium 23 - Complete Moisture Restoration Treatment
stephanie32082 3/12/2007 12:33:00 AM
I like this product a lot. Even after daily use, it has lasted me a long time. My hair is nice and soft and not greasy at all. However, this is by no means an HG for me. There are tons of other similar products out there that I want to try first. I would consider buying this again in the future and the price just makes it a bonus.

Cleansers -Neostrata - Multi-Activ Cleansing Milk 4 in 1
stephanie32082 1/29/2007 12:06:00 AM
I bought this at SDM at a great price. I got this (full size) and also a full sized eye contour cream for $28 CDN. I don't have dry skin but I do have dry patches and this didn't do anything for me. It was a hassle to use because my lid was extremely hard to open. In fact, when I managed to open it, i wouldn't close it fully for the next time only to find out that my brother used it and closed it. And this drove me crazy. Overall, it was okay. Nothing special. Not worthy of repurchase at all.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Moisturizing Body Wash - Firming
stephanie32082 1/14/2007 11:07:00 PM
Blah. This didn't do anything any other body wash can do. The scent was okay...nothing special. I didn't have any problems with acne/spots with this thankfully and there was no firming at all with this. I would not repurchase this. It's below average for sure.

Polishes -MAC - Fluid nail polish
stephanie32082 1/5/2007 11:50:00 PM
I received this is a gift and at first I was like what the hell, I hardly wore polish and even then it was only pinks and neutrals. Now I'm totally obsessed with nail polish and am constantly doing my nails. I love this colour. It is a bronzy rose and although I am an OPI addict, this was a good departure from my beloved OPI. I have no complaints about the lasting power or the application at all. Overall, I would repurchae this when I finish it.

Polishes -OPI - Romeo & Joliet
stephanie32082 12/10/2006 1:33:00 PM
I totally agree with everyone who loves this colour! It's awesome. It's a beautiful red/burgundy with brown undertones and shimmer. It is so pretty! For me, the quality is typical OPI and two coats was perfect for me. I would definitely repurchase in the future.

Polishes -China Glaze - Fashionably Late
stephanie32082 11/29/2006 11:30:00 PM
So I picked this up at a Beauty Supplier for $2.50 CDN (I'm assuming it has been discontinued). Really beautiful colour. I heard that China Glaze is comparable to OPI, this is my first CG so I didn't know what to expect. The only complaint I have is that it chips - way faster than OPI. So I'm happy with this colour for fall/winter but I would only pick up CG when its on sale - otherwise I'm sticking with OPI.

Makeup Brushes -Stila - #1 Blush Brush
stephanie32082 11/29/2006 11:15:00 PM
Well, against my better judgement (and the reviews on MUA) I bought this brush because the makeup artist told me that the stiffness was perfect for convertible colours. So I waited until the next event (a month later) and I picked this up. I was surprised at the cost $39 CDN. I really expected it to be in the low 30's. Well whatever, I did pick it up and it was stiff (a.k.a. scratchy) but I could live with it. There were two major problems with it, 1. it shed a lot when I washed it and 2. the hairs kind of got a knot in them that wouldn't come out. So a month passed since I bought it and the next time I went to Holt's, I took it with me and the ladies there were kind enough to let me exchange it. My friend has this brush as well and she has no problems with it at all. So my advice, try it a couple of times and make sure you really want it.

Polishes -OPI - Star Ring The Rockettes
stephanie32082 11/10/2006 2:49:00 PM
Yes, I love OPI! Saw this new collection and I picked this up on impulse. And yes, it is ODing on silver microshimmer. But its a fab medium pink colour and I do love the prowide brush too. It's the best thing OPI could have done. This colour is so fun - it might look scary in the bottle but trust me girls, it looks great on you hands and feet! Go out and get a bottle before they're all gone.

Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Metal Eye Lash Comb
stephanie32082 11/5/2006 7:16:00 PM
I've been interested in trying a lash comb for a while because no matter what mascara I use, I can never really get the nice seperated lash look. I though I'd just buy a cheap plastic one but after consulting MUA, I realized the metal one was the way to go. So I picked this up at my local drug store for $9.99 CDN and I've never looked back.
It's true what others have said, I think this could make the most basic or crappy mascara look nice. It's a bonus that its a lifetime guarantee.
Also, I think its really important to clean this brush after every use - at least wipe it clean with a tissue. Totally worth the price and the design is really good - you can fold the comb down so you can travel with it if you want but the bottom line is folding it keeps the teeth safe and clean.
