Shampoo -John Frieda - Sheer Blonde Highlighting Shampoo

This shampoo tends to leave the ends of my long hair dry even if I use a good conditioner. It's hard to tell whether it brings out highlights; if it does, it's very subtle. I have repurchased this in the past but have noticed it tends to dry out my hair, so I wouldn't buy it again.

Conditioner -Nexxus - Headress

I love this lotion - every time I use it I know I'm getting exactly what my hair needs. I wouldn't use it to add moisture if your hair is dry, but if you have normal to fine hair like me you might really like this product. It's lightweight and doesn't weigh down my hair like most leave in conditioners. I use this before and after I blow dry my hair, and then as needed throughout the day. It nicely adds the right amount of definition and hold. I would use it along with a volumizing mousse because although the bottle says it is a "volumizer," it won't do the job alone. Definitely one I will continue to buy! It also lasts a very long time - I've had mine for over a year (although I haven't been using it as consistently as I am now).

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Bronzed peach

I think the formula is pretty good. It's pretty moisturizing and feels light and smooth on my lips. I LOVE the frosty finish look of this lipstick, but I have a love/ hate relationship with the color. It's perhaps too orange and/ or dark for me. I think CG does pretty well with their lip products so I'll prob try a different color.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Shale Eyeshadow

This eye shadow makes me happy for some reason. I actually need to repurchase Shale because I lost the quad it was in. I'm missing it dearly! I bought it on my first trip to MAC, and it was the first color I absolutely fell in love with. It makes me sad I don't have it anymore. I always wanted to use it. When I didn't feel inspired or didn't know how I wanted to do my eyes that day, I would start off with Shale. I think it's sort of a neutral, earthy color.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Vanilla

Gorgeous color! At the moment I love using this on the inner corners of my eyes. I almost don't mind paying more for it because I see MAC pigments as an investment - they last forever because you're getting absolutely tons of product (even with the new packaging, which holds less). My only complaint, and this also goes for any loose powder, is that it's very messy. But it's not a big loss to lose a bit of it in the process of using it.

Lip Gloss -Jesse's Girl - Liquid Glass Lip Gloss

Horrific packaging. Don't let its appearance fool you. The product WILL squeeze out every time you twist the cap back on. Everything it touches will have traces of pink glitter. Not worth my $1.99.

Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Professional Natural Smudge Brush #11
stellbell 7/11/2010 8:35:00 AM
I've had this for a few years and probably use it every time I wear shadow. It's somehow just really useful. I've found it's totally capable of packing on the color when with other brushes it barely shows up. Great for smudging, great for lining - I've had success with powder and gels, but powder definitely works better. Yeah I think this one gets a pat on the back, or whatever.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Matte Lip Color (2010 reformulation)
stellbell 7/11/2010 7:47:00 AM
I had been eying the 2 colors at the very end to the left of the display for a bit. Every time i went in a CVS or Rite Aid I stared at them, but yesterday I finally bought one. i figured it's really inexpensive, and if i don't like it i could return it. I bought Just Peachy, and I am sort of really excited I have it now. I've only recently started to wear lipstick and the fact that i actually really like the color and think it looks good on me (I believe I wear NC15) has made me really happy with Wet N Wild. It can get pretty opaque and it is, indeed, long lasting as far as lipsticks go. It's even kind of moisturizing. It has some imperfections, but i'd say that for me this is definitely a keeper. I am also 80% sure i'm going to buy that other color next to it I liked, it was much pinker.
