I received this as a gift for Xmas and I love it! I wanted to try on more 'sophisticated' scents if that makes sense. I had mainly only used lotions & sprays before. I have a sample of Tom Ford's Black Orchid which is fantastic but something I would wear only on special occasions. Chanel Eau Tendre is a great everyday scent that smells feminine and light. It's not a powdery scent which I tend to not like.
This is a very pretty blush that gives a nice natural glow. It's a pinkish brownish color w/a golden sheen to it. The blush looks sparkly in pan & swatched on my finger but on my cheeks it gives a sheen. The color is here but build able. I actually have to be careful cause I can put on too much. The color looks almost like an orangish/bronzy color when I put too much. On my skin tone it's not a good look. But w/the right application I get a natural looking healthy glow. It also lasts a fair amount of time as well.
Ah, Black Orchid! I'm uneducated when it comes to fragrances. I know nothing about perfume and I find top notes, middle notes, etc to be confusing. However, I do know if a scent pleases my nose. Black Orchid to me smelled horribly unpleasant at first spritz. It just smelled so strong. I can't describe the scent, but it was almost like a super strong pine scent. After hearing great things about this scent I admit I was a little disappointed. I kept walking around the mall. When I smelled my wrist again I started to notice a more pleasant smell. It's not a sweet scent but it smelled very sophisticated and womanly if that makes sense. When I got home I had my fiancée smell me wrists (I spritzed White Patchouli on my other wrist) & said he loved the way Black Orchid smelled. I definitely plan on buying the full bottle but for now ive been using a sample. I love the dry down & one spritz is really all I need. Smells sexy and feminine!
Let me start off by saying I know nothing about fragrances. All the talk of notes is foreign language to me. I only know if something smells pleasant to my nose or not. At first spritz I liked the way this smelled. It's not really a sweet scent but it smells clean somehow. After walking around the mall for a few hours I noticed the scent started to get a little powdery. When I got home I let my fiancée sniff my wrist & he didn't like the smell. Toward the end of the night it smelled powdery to me. That's the best I can describe it. Some may like this scent but on me it just didn't dry down pleasantly. Surprisingly Black Orchid, which I disliked at first, had a great dry down smell.
Ok, so I've been using this for a few weeks & have come to the conclusion that yes it does work. I have always had a bad habit of rubbing my eyes when they itch, when I wake up in the morning, etc & I would always lose a couple of lashes. I also would lose a few lashes taking off my eye makeup & on rare occasion when I would curl my lashes. Since I've been using this my lashes have gotten stronger because I don't lose lashes any more. They feel thicker and stronger. My lashes don't feel longer but this doesn't bother me cause my lashes are a descent length. My lashes are fuller but that's probably due to my lashes getting thicker as opposed to this serum making more lashes grow. I will continue to use this as long as it continues to make my lashes stronger.
I liked this gloss a lot. Is it the greatest ever? No but I still get a lot of use out of it. On my lips its pulls a pinkish/light purpleish color. I usually layer this over Rimmel's Airy Fairy and wear it when I do a purple eye. It's a pretty, subtle color that has pretty good staying power & doesn't feel tacky (at least to me).
Sorry to be a wet blanket but this looked like crap on me. I knew it wouldn't look right on me but the SA insisted on putting it on me. First of all, my lips are too pigmented for me to wear this alone. One swipe & you can't even see it. Multiple layers & it looks like I've been drinking pepto bismol from the bottle. It also made my face look pale. She layered it over a few lipsticks (she desperately wanted to sell it to me), some of which didn't look too bad but to be honest I don't want that much work in trying to get a color to work for me. For $14 & tax, I don't want to have to look for lipsticks I can layer this over. I'd rather just give the money to the charity & let them keep the lipstick. I've seen lots of pics of women who look great in this color & kudos to them for pulling it off. This just isn't for me. I went with Cyndi instead which was much better looking on me.
I love this paint pot. It's a rosy pink color. I use to as a base for pink or purple eyeshadow. It makes the colors more vibrant. It's very long lasting and budgeproof. It can be a little hard to apply all over the lid. For me the key is to pat it into my lid. A little does go a long way. I definitely would repurchase but this probably won't be an issue for quite some time since I oonly need a little at a time.
I LOVE Little Black Dress! This is a great eyeliner. It's a black color with specks of pinkish/purple glitter. At first glance it looks like a dark purple/eggplant color. Once you dip your brush in you can see the glitter. I use this mainly as an eyeliner. I haven't really tried it as a base yet but as an eyeliner it's great. It's great when I want to venture from doing the basic black liner. It gives my eyes a little pop. The glitter is not garish but it gives a nice sparkle. The liner dries pretty quickly and is very smudgeproof. It is definitely one of the nicest eyeliners that I own.

This is a gorgeous shade of purple w/pink glitter. As soon as I saw swatches I was in love. I love to apply this as a base over my eyeshadows. It makes my eyeshadow pop and look vibrant. It also lasts all day. I will say however that I do not like this as an eyeliner. It takes too many layers for me to get an opaque line. I've tried different brushes and nothing works. I smudge it on my lower lashline & it looks great but getting a solid line on my upper lashline takes too much work. I definitely love this as a base so I only took off 1 lippie because of the eyeliner issue.
This is the 2nd red lipstick I own since I don't normally wear reds. I bought Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon around Halloween but it's not an everyday color for me. I wanted a sheer red that I could wear & not feel like I look over the top. Viva Glam Cyndi is just that, a sheer wash of red on my lips. This lipstick is actually kind of unique in that it looks different in different lighting. Indoors it looks almost like a fuschia/berry color. Outside it's a slight red and in pictures it looks like an opaque orange red. Amazing, haha! I do have pigmented lips so I do have to layer it a couple of times to get it show, While I think Dragon is a sexy color, I probably will only wear it on very special occasions since it's out of my comfort zone. Cyndi on the other hand is a lot more wearable.
This just does not look good on me. Alone it makes my lips look like I'm dehyrated. When i do a nude lip it makes me look sick. It tones down other lip colors but overall I'm a bit diappointed this doesn't really work for me. My lips are quite pigmented & this doesn't look right on me. It's a shame cause I do like the color in the tube. It's just too pale for my lips.
This color doesn't look like much in pan but it gives a nice natural definition look to my cheeks. In the pan the color looks like a dirty pink. On my cheeks it kind of blends into my skin and gives me some natural color. It's kind of hard to describe what it looks like on my cheeks. It's a very subtle pink w/hints of brown. It's not a "Bam, I'm wearing blush!" color. It's very subdued. I like this for simple everyday looks, or if I want to look professional for work. Its a nice matte color for when you want to give your cheeks definition but don't want to be too flashy.
Um, wow this is a great blush! So I was looking for a nice soft looking kinda cool/neutral pink blush. I kept reading about the infamous Chanel Narcisse & a lemming was born. Was bummed when I heard this was discontinued. I have & love Deep Throat but I wanted something a little pinker for different looks. I actually found Narcisse at a counter in my local Macys. I immediately bought it for fear that I'd never get the chance again. The color is very warm looking in pan but doesn't look warm on the skin. I personally find the blush to be very pigmented. The first time I wore it I swiped my brush over the blush twice & immediately put too much. I looked like a clown. I tried it again with one light swipe & the color gives my cheeks a very natural soft pinky glow. The staying power is very good. The price is outrageous but hey, it comes with the Chanel territory. The packaging is a bit clunky and can be prone to fingerprints but it's very elegant looking. I hope this lasts cause I can't afford to buy a backup if this is really discontinued.
I love the name but then again I am a bit of a perv! All that aside the color itself is gorgeous. It gives my cheeks a nice warm peechy glow to my cheeks. Im pretty fair but not too pale & if I'm not careful it is possible to put too much. I wanted an everyday color and this is definitely it. I find it has great staying power. It's a bit pricey but it seems like it will last me a while. The packaging looks very sleek but it does get dirty and prone to prints.
