Blush -Hard Candy - Fox in a Box Spicy & Sweet
starlette17 5/8/2013 10:57:00 AM
LOVE THIS. I have a lot of different blushes from high end brands and drug store brands.. But I just keep coming back to this. I love that "Spicy and sweet" has 4 colors, I usually just blend them all together for the perfect pinky-peach. The lasting power of this is great and I usually struggle with my blushes fading off at the end of a 9 hours work day.. But this one does great. I've also had this blush for well over a year and a half and it doesn't even look like I've hit pan. If you have light/medium skin, I highly recommend this for a great everyday-(you don't have to think about it) blush!

Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
starlette17 1/3/2013 4:47:00 PM
This is probably the least expensive mascara I have purchased but one of the best! It is much better than the overpriced Tarte "Lights Camera lashes" or even any L'oreal mascaras. It was around $2-3 at Walgreens, what a steal! It really beautifies your lashes.. It's very black, defines the lashes, and adds volume.. I do layer with Cover Girl Lash Blast but own it's own it works well too!! Try it out, for only a couple dollars it's not much to lose!!

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed Tarte Blush
starlette17 1/3/2013 4:44:00 PM
Yes this product is expensive but if you have some extra $$ to spend I highly recommend this! I always thought the color looked "blah" in the pan so I never purchased it but after reading reviews and seeing it on Youtube gurus, I had to finally check it out. On the skin it is a pretty rosy/nude.. it looks natural but adds definition. Sometimes bright pinks look way too ridiculous on me so I love the warmth that this gives my light/medium skin. I can see why this might not work on everyone but I think light to medium complexions should give this a shot!

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
starlette17 1/3/2013 4:40:00 PM
WOW I am so glad I tried this! I was debating between this and the Revlon Nearly Naked but I am really happy with this. I haven't used Cover Girl foundation in years and wow they really stepped up their game. I use two coats of this and buff it in with my Sigma angled flat top kabuki brush and I don't even need to use concealer. I have redness and a few small pimples and this covers it right up. I do set it with a little powder and it stays fresh and matte looking all day. I also love the pump! I was using the Lorac Natural performance foundation which is like $30 or $40 and this is even better than that. Definitely try this out!

Brows -MAC - Eyebrows Crayon in Lingering
starlette17 12/5/2011 10:29:00 PM
This is an amazing brow pencil! I was worried about it being too dark for me (I have dark blonde hair) but if used with a light hand its perfect, it is pigmented enough to define my brows without looking too harsh. I was using the Rimmel brow pencil for over a year but I think this will take it's place (no sharpening, yay!). This one also just makes my brows look much more put together and full, as my eyebrows can sometimes be a bit sparse. Great product!

Blush -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Blush & Highlighter
starlette17 12/5/2011 10:23:00 PM
"Autumn Catwalk" is beautiful! It is quite pigmented for a drug store brush! I think this color would work on most skin tones, it gives that great pinky-peach flush - perfect for winter! I randomly bought this because I forgot my blush at home but this has become one of my favorites right away! I love that it has a highlighter as well, very great blush!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
starlette17 12/5/2011 10:19:00 PM
Amazing! Believe the hype , everyone should have this in their collection! Yes it's pricey but you get a great selection of quality eyeshadows and this palette will last you quite awhile. My favorites are Sin, Sidecar, Smog, Darkhorse and Toasted and Hustle! The colors are fabulous and you can create a natural, low key eye look or a dark and smokey look. I prefer neutral colors on my blue eyes so this is pretty much all the eye shadow colors I need. Definitely will purchase again.. or maybe try the N2!

Liquid -Boots - Lifting & Firming Foundation SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
starlette17 12/5/2011 10:12:00 PM
This is definitely one of the best foundations I've tried! It has a creamy consistency and blends extremely well, I would say it's a medium coverage foundation. I use a Beauty blender sponge I got from Sonia Kashuk for a flawless finish. This foundation is a little bit more pricey than some drugstore foundations but it is worth the extra few dollars. I have combo/oily skin and as long as I use primer (Bare Escentuals Prime TIme) and a dusting of powder over (Sephora mineral pressed powder or Bare Minerals matte) it lasts pretty long. I use the color 15 Nude and it is a great match for my light to medium skin tone. I don't really know how much it "lifts and firms" since I don't have many fine lines or anything but the look it gives is really nice and I highly recommend!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
starlette17 6/1/2011 11:17:00 PM
I don't get the hype with this mascara! I wanted to look it but It was so average performing, and it made my lashes limp and blah, even after using a lash curler. I prefer a full volumized lash look and this did not deliver. The Colossal Volum' mascara is much better!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof
starlette17 6/1/2011 11:13:00 PM
Best mascara ever!! So happy I found this, I was previously using BE Buxom mascara, which is great by the way but I wanted a cheaper alternative.. and I'm loving this Maybelline one even more! It does what it says it will do, fabulous full, dark lashes that keeps looking great after a long day! I use the Tarte eyelash curler which is also amazing so I think that helps with this product. The only thing I dislike is the mascara kind of leaks out of the tube after I put the mascara wand back in, if that makes any sense. It's not a big deal since I love how the product works but I thought that was weird! All in all, love this - definitely try it!

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser
starlette17 6/1/2011 11:07:00 PM
This is the only product that I feel really DEEP cleans my skin and removes makeup and gunk off my face. The face wash smells and feels fresh and the scrublet is awesome. This has definitely tamed my skin down and I think the fact that it removes every trace of makeup really has helped with preventing acne. FYI, don't get this stuff in your eye - it stings so bad! But other than that, a great drugstore product that does it what it says!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Nouveau Monde Duo
starlette17 6/1/2011 11:02:00 PM
What beautiful eyeshadows!! I saw this recommended on the internet for blue eyes.. actually I think these colors could work on pretty much every eye color! I was nervous to buy it because it was so expensive and the colors are ones I normally never pick out for myself.. But I am definitely happy I bought it! The lilac color looks great over the lid and I use the olive shade in the crease, a unique combo but it looks so pretty and wearable for day or night! I am glad I stepped out of the box and I bought this duo - Definitely recommend!

Treatments -Aussie - New 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor
starlette17 6/1/2011 10:51:00 PM
I loved this product! I'm so happy I picked this up, this is the new (?) version of the 3 Minute Miracle conditioner. This with the combination of Macadamia oil has made my hair 10 times softer and more manageable! I don't have extremely dry hair but my hair has been through alot of coloring and thermal usage, A lot of shampoos/conditioners don't seem to provide enough conditioning for me, even the expensive salon formulas! First off this smells amazing - WOW, and once I rinsed it out after 3 minutes, my hair felt so much better! After using some macadamia oil and Aveda's volumizing tonic , I blow dried my hair and I was so impressed with the softness and bounce my hair had! I love this product and I will probably continue to use a few times a week.. and by the way I got this on sale @ Target for under $3! Can't beat it. Highly recommend, and if you hate it - you only wasted a few dollars!

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Light
starlette17 1/24/2010 1:06:00 AM
This is my favorite primer I have come across. It is light and perfect for people with oily/combo skin, but it also effective! It helps my foundation stay longer and helps it go on smoothly. I mean it's not perfect and of course some foundation is going to wear off after a long day, but it's the best I have found so far. I dislike how expensive it is, but that's what you get.. I tried some cheaper primers and was very disappointed. Gotta stick with Smashbox for now!

Primer/ Corrector -Revlon - Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
starlette17 1/24/2010 12:58:00 AM
I was not a fan of this. I was looking for something cheaper than the Smashbox Light Primer I usually use, but I just ended up wasting my money on this. It's really oily and my makeup did not stay all day. Maybe it's because I have combo skin and this might work better for drier skins..who knows. This really was a pointless product, Would not buy again.
