Primer/ Corrector -Tarte - MultiplEYE Lash Primer
star_s_l_b 5/30/2012 9:17:00 PM
I'm so conflicted on this product. On one hand I love Tarte. I've rarely had a bad experience with their products. I love the Lights, Camera Lashes (as well as the Splashes waterproof) mascara, so I figured I'd give this a go. It was my first foray into lash primers. Although a bit pricey ($22 I think?) you get a ton of product. It does add a bit of volume to my lashes, I'll give it that. However, it took the curl right out of my lashes. I HAVE to curl my lashes. They stick straight down if I don't. This primer made it look like I hadn't curled them at all. And when I went to apply my mascara, they stuck together. Not cute. I still love Tarte, just not this primer!

Other -Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Mirrorball

This glitter is amazing! It's a micro fine holographic glitter that looks amazing over shadows and over liquid liners. You also get a ton of product so it will last me forever. If I had to pick one glitter to use for the rest of my life, it would be this one. So unique and beautiful. Another great find from OCC!

Primer/ Corrector -Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Skin Primer

Great primer. I'm not a fan of the silicone-y primers like Smashbox Photo Finish and this is perfect for me. A little bit goes a long way and it sinks right into my skin. It keeps my makeup on all day and I haven't had any problems with my foundation oxidizing on me since I've used this. OCC is an amazing line and I'm loving everything I've tried!

Lipstick -Unlisted Brand - Obsessive Compulsive (OCC) Lip Tar in Anime
star_s_l_b 4/4/2012 6:50:00 PM
This is my absolute HG pink lip product. You will get noticed with Anime! It is an amazing neon pink with full coverage. OCC's Lip Tar is the most unique lip product I have ever used. You only need a teeny tiny amount. If you use too much it will feather and bleed and just look gross. It has a semi matte finish but it doesn't dry my lips like most matte lipsticks do. This also LASTS like no other. My only gripe was the packaging. I didn't like the lipgloss-like applicator. However OCC has revamped their packaging and it is much much nicer. OCC is one of my favorite makeup brands. And with my pro license I get 20% off my orders. Even better! Check out Anime if you want a pink that will turn heads!

Hair Color -Amphigory - Special Effects in Atomic Pink
star_s_l_b 4/4/2012 4:28:00 PM
This. Stuff. Is. Amazing. Seriously, I can't really explain the insanity that is Atomic Pink. I had platinum blonde hair for a few years before I went pink, so my hair just sucked the color up. I first colored my hair pink five months ago, and I've only touched it up once (and that was due to my roots growing out.) Once this is in your hair it does not budge. Don't even bother with other brands of funky hair colors. Special Effects is on a whole 'nother level. AND it glows under black lights! How fun is that? Honestly if you want pink hair that lasts for months, look no further.

Blush -Illamasqua - Nymph
star_s_l_b 4/4/2012 4:22:00 PM
Illamasqua is quickly replacing NARS as my HG blushes. Nymph is a beautiful blue based pink, perfect for my fair skin, and has the silkiest texture I've ever felt. Very pigmented, so use a light hand when applying. However it builds well and blends wonderfully. You get a decent amount of product for the price too. I just ordered Chased and can't wait to get it. Nothing but love for this blush!

Powder -Tarte - Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder
star_s_l_b 3/10/2012 12:13:00 AM
I am so happy I found this product. Tarte is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands and I knew I needed a new powder to take the place of my Make Up For Ever HD Finishing Powder. This is a very close dupe. It has the ultra fine texture that evens out your skin tone and sets your makeup for hours. My only gripe is the packaging. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get the product out of one single hole in the packaging. It finally occured to me to press down on the sides of the sifter and the product will dispense out the hole. DUH! No biggie though. I am loving Tarte and can see myself buying this again in the future.

Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15
star_s_l_b 3/10/2012 12:10:00 AM
I have to say that this is an interesting foundation. First of all, the Bamboo Foundation brush is a MUST for getting this to look flawless. I tried other foundation brushes with it and it just didn't look the same. Also, this is some heavy, pigmented stuff and I think on the package it says to use a quarter sized blob. Uh, no. When I did that it looked so cakey and fake. I later tried using a half of a dime sized amount and it looked so much better. It does look like makeup but if you use a small amount and use the brush it will give you a creamy, flawless complextion. Pair this with Tarte's Smooth Operator Finishing Powder and your makeup will last for hours. I do really like this for a full cover makeup and will re puchase again if I ever run out of the tube I have. A tiny bit goes a long way!

Eye Shadow -Sugarpill - Loose Eyeshadow
star_s_l_b 3/9/2012 11:55:00 PM
I have 16 of Sugarpill's loose shadows and 3 of their pressed shadows and I'm in love with them all. They are insanely pigmented and you get a TON of product. 5 grams of loose shadow and 4 grams of pressed shadow for $12 each is an amazing deal. They can be used wet or dry (even though using the loose powders wet can make them a little chunky, it's not a big deal. They're easily smoothed out.) The packaging is absolutely adorable too, which is a plus. I cannot wait for Shrinkle to add more colors, I will definitely snap them up!

Eye Primer -Fyrinnae - Pixie Epoxy
star_s_l_b 3/9/2012 11:51:00 PM
LOVE my Pixie Epoxy! It gives my Goldilux and Tiara shadows from Sugarpill an amazing, foiled look. It also helps glitter stick to my lids. As many others have said, a little goes a looooong way. What else can I say that hasn't been said before? If you're into bright, shimmering shades, foiled looks or glittery looks, this is one product you can't go without!

Moisturizers -Ren - Frankincense and Boswellia Serrata Repair Cream
star_s_l_b 3/7/2010 12:30:00 PM
I love this stuff. I need a good cream for the winter months that won't break me out and this is my HG. It's rich and creamy and smells so good. It moisturizes without making my face greasy and when I wake up my skin is so soft and it glows. I use it over the Omega 3 Lipid renewal and I have not had one dreaded winter flakey yet. And no breakouts! Love it! I did take off one lippie due to the price but you do get a lot of product and you don't need a whole lot to cover your face. A wonderful product definitely worth trying.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Hemp Seed Oil
star_s_l_b 3/4/2010 9:06:00 AM
I buy organic hemp seed oil at www.mountainroseherbs.com. You get 8 ounces for $10.50 (minus tax). Trust me, the bottle will last you a very VERY long time. It's unrefined and organic. I use it on my hair which is bleached within an inch of it's life. I have naturally dark brown hair that is bleached platinum blonde (and I mean platinum!) I've tried basically every conditioner you can imagine. Deep conditioners, leave ins, Moroccan Oil...nothing makes my scraggly fried ends smooth. Until I tried hemp oil. It calms my ends and makes my hair smooth. No flyaways, no brillo pad ends, just perfectly soft, smooth hair. A teeny bit goes a very long way so I'll be using this for a long time. A must have for anyone with dry, processed hair.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Kim Kardashian

This could go down as possibly one of the worst smells ever. Luckily I just got it as a sample. The notes clash terribly. It starts out as a quasi decent floral then heads into an awful powdery musk. Ew. What was worse was that I could not get the smell out of my bedroom after I sprayed it. I opened up my windows in 20 degree weather just to get it out. Just bad bad bad.

Moisturizers -Ren - Omega 3 Nutrifying Facial Serum
star_s_l_b 2/16/2010 9:06:00 AM
I actually received this by accident. I had ordered the Boswellia & Frankincense night cream from Ren's website and got this instead. Rather than going through the hassle of returning it by mail I thought, eh, what the heck. I'll try it. I'm really glad I did. So far I've used this for a week and my skin has been so soft and glow-y. I have acne prone skin and this has not broke me out once. I use it in conjunction with Suki's exfoliating cleanser and the B&F night cream and my skin looks soooo nice. Perfect for winter months that zap the life out of my face. I didn't think the fishy scent was all that bad. If you add Ren's night cream over the top of it you can't even smell it. One word of caution though...you only need a teeeeny tiny bit of this. One pump is too much for my face. I have to carefully pump it out so I get about half a pump, then I warm it between my fingers to help soften it a bit. With how little of this you use this bottle will last a very long time, so even though the $60 price tag is a bit off putting, you have to think about the large amount of product you get. Overall, a very happy accident and I'm glad I kept it!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Waterproof
star_s_l_b 7/7/2009 12:04:00 PM
I bought this when I was too financially embarassed to buy a tube of my regular Diorshow waterproof mascara. I'm one who *needs* waterproof, no if ands or buts. My lashes are sparse and straight and regular mascaras make the curl I put in with my Shu curler droop. Do I like Lash Blast Waterproof? Well, yeah I do. Not quite as dramatic as Diorshow- I am a high drama girl when it comes to mascara- but a few coats looks decent. The big brush doesn't smudge on everything which is nice. But CG does not mess around with the phrase "waterproof." No siree!! This stuff is practically bulletproof. Diorshow was fairly easy to get off with Lancome's BiFacil's remover but CG's waterproof....BiFacil, jojoba oil, cold cream...try it all and it you'll have to work overtime to get this stuff off. Will I buy it again? Probably not. Next time I'll go back to Diorshow. However if you're looking for a cheap mascara that builds decent length and a slight bit of volume that is so waterproof it will not come off if you spend all day in the pool or watch a movie like "Marley and Me" or something, this is the right stuff for you.
