Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

ugh i hate to be the first bad reviewer - it pains me to write this. I really had high hopes for this product as i saw it had great reviews elsewhere. It is very easy to apply, it comes out in such a nice fine mist. But it made my face look VERY shiny and dewey and felt gross as the day went on. Even with layers of powder, it felt heavy and oily and I use a very matte foundation! I could not wait to wash my face at the end of the day. I think it does what it says though- your makeup will last all day without smudging. However, no matter what I tried I ended up looking like an oil slick after spraying and it didnt go away throughout the day. This would work if you like a very dewy look but i could not stand the feel and finish of it on my face so back it goes, sadly

Treatments (Eye) -NIA 24 - Eye Repair Complex
staceyj8 4/5/2010 8:34:00 PM
I have to agree completely with the previous reviewers. I have spent a fortune on every eye cream known to man only to be left disappointed with the empty promises. I purchased this based on the reviews here and the results I've gotten are so profound that I will never purchase another eye cream again, I've been using this for about 10 days now and my eyes have never looked brighter or better. I'm 36 and starting to get very fine lines and seemingly endless dry patches along with horrible hereditary dark circles. This cream has addressed all of my issues within only a week. It's very creamy but not so much so that it leaves a greasy film. It absorbs quickly, doesn't sting and makes my eyes feel firmer and look brighter. I can already see the fine lines plumping up- and it's not just temporary. Even bare faced (oh the horror!) my undereye area looks so much better. The chronic dryness has disappeared and even my circles look lighter. Nothing will help the dark circles completely but this has definitely made a drastic improvement. I ordered this from essentialdermcare.com and got 25% off which brings the price to around $47 - dirt cheap compared to La Mer, La Prairie, and all the other high price junk I wasted my money on. I can't recommend this product enough ladies.

Styling Products -Redken - Real Control Crema Care
staceyj8 8/10/2008 9:26:00 AM
The whole Redken Real Control line is nothing short of miraculous for coarse, dry, unruly hair like mine and this leave in is no exception. In fact, it's better than any of the millions of products from Kerastase to FF to and everything else I've tried. This is a leave in, nourishing styling treatment that literally turns my hay-like, frizzy hair into spun silk. Unlike other products I've used, this one doesn't coat the hair and leave it heavy or sticky, but sinks in, really leaving it feeling nourished and soft. Straightening, which I do every day, becomes easy and controllable instead of a fight. And my hair is left soft, smooth and unbelievably healthy looking. I can now add all the other products I've spent major dough on to my swap list. Try this- you wont be dissapointed.

Conditioner -Redken - Real Control

This product changed my hair life. I have long, coarse, naturallly dry and curly hair which I blow out almost every day, color and relax twice a year. I've tried every product out there, high end and d/s in search of a routine that would make my hair more manageable. I think my search is over. First of all, the smell is divine- kind of like fresh laundry. Second, the consistency is such that it really penetrates hair, rather than coating it and weighing it down, which is what I found the Smooth Down line to do. When I rinsed it, it felt clean, yet soft and silky. The best part was the blow out- I never had a brush just GLIDE through my hair. And the finished result was amazing. Soft, smooth, straight hair with NO frizz whatsoever. But the most important thing for me was that it didn't feel heavy or coated. I feel like this is a ramped up, 100% improved version of combining All Soft (made my hair soft but frizzy) and Smooth Down, which left it feeling coated. If you have dry, frizzy hair, run, do not walk, to get this.

Styling Products -Nexxus - sleek memory straightening smoothing spray
staceyj8 4/8/2008 5:18:00 AM
I have curly coarse long hair that I blow out almoost every day. I've tried every serum, balm and straightening product on the market and this is the only one I've found that lets me go a day or two without blowing out. It's a lightweight spray that feels almost like a light leave-in so it doesn't get all gloppy and build up, yet it makes my hair straight and SOFT! I thought spraying it on, that it didn't feel heavy enough to tame my wild mane, but it was so quick and easy to blow out. Didn't cause any build up like my normal serums. No real discernable scent. This may be my HG.

Hair Styling Tools -Sedu - Ionic Ceramic Professional Flat Iron (Original)
staceyj8 1/20/2006 8:22:00 PM
Unlike the reviewer below, I actually tried this product before reviewing it. I'm not sure what advertising has to do with performance, but anyway, this is by far superior to any flat iron I have ever owned (Hai, Chi, & HairArt.) Smooths and straightens with 1 or 2 quick passes through the hair and amazingly, keeps it straight and frizz free no matter what the weather. Plus, it's super light-weight and easy to manuever. best of all, my hair does not get caught in it and break, unlike my Chi. I don't care about the manufacturer or how they advertise- this is a godsend for anyone with hard to manage hair. And I'm not an idiot.
