Conditioner -KMS California - AMP Volume Reconstructor

I am a cosmetologist and I use the KMS AMP volume gel conditioner on myself. You know you have a good conditioner when there is no static while brushing or combing. This prevents static,adds tons of volume,has sunscreen,and smells good. Also not filled with silicons that make my hair like dry plastic. Very good product. If price is your concern other good product lines are Chi,Biolage,TiGi, and for drugstore Loreal or Dove. It really is best to get a shampoo and conditioner for your hair type for example; I need moisture but the KMS moisture shampoo left my hair wayyy too limp and dull. The Add volume line is perfect for my fine dry hair.

As a cosmetologist I give this 2 thumbs up. I use this on the days I don't shampoo or to add volume to an updo. It smells good and removes tangles while making greasy roots vanish. Wonderful products for all hair types.

Styling Products -KMS California - Free Shape Hot Flex Cream

I gave this to one of my clients with thick hair who likes to flat Iron. After a week her hair was crispy and had splits ends. For some reason this did not protect her hair and it doesn't smell good. The spray version of this works 100% better and I even use it on my hair for curling. KMS needs to improve this cream.

Shampoo -KMS California - Amp Volume

I am a Cosmetologist and have tried lots of products from cheap to salon price. This shampoo is gentle and really works. I have taken before and after photos and my hair looks and feels 50% thicker after just one shampoo. It has balanced my scalp and improved elasticity of my baby fine hair. If you cannot afford this some good drugstore lines are loreal and dove. If you live in a dry climate drugstore products tend to make hair dry and do not include sunscreen. KMS does not make hair dry or like plastic and they do include sunscreen in their products. If you are comparing prices other good salon lines are Biolage,Tigi,Chi,and Joico. Chi is awesome for dry climates.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Hair One Cleansing Conditioners (All)

Please see update.Licensed Cosmo here. I was using the salon graphix cleanser and I switched to Hair One a week ago. It leaves my hair softer,shiner and less tangled than salon graphix. With both cleansers I have noticed less hair in my comb. In fact after using Hair One for one week the last time I washed my hair there was one Hair in my comb and none in the drain! I do know that sulfate actually clogs pores and hair follicles even though it foams and clogged hair follicles can be the cause of hair loss if medical reasons are ruled out. I recommend Hair One and use it like the WEN commercials. It may take 3 washes before you love it but it works. Tip: if you have an oilier scalp and don't like washing with hair one everyday you can mix it with water in a spray bottle and mist to refresh on days you don't wash.:) Update: After months of use and a horrible experience with WEN, it made my scalp hurt terribly after four days I had to take pain killers, I realize there is nothing better than gentle shampoo for your hair type. I use KMS add volume shampoo and conditioner and now have amazing hair with no problems. I have also noticed my son's hair looks and feels so much better with a gentle shampoo. I would only recommend a cleansing conditioner for curly girls on the days they do not shampoo. For other hair types I don't think they improve the hair. I have done months of research and trials on these conditioners. A good way to find out if a product if working for you is to take before and after pictures. Just make sure they are in the same lighting and you can see the results.

Skincare - Face -Equate - Proactiv knock-off system

I have tried proactive years ago and it seemed to make my acne worse. I am in my 30s with acne so I have been using this for a month and it does work. I have extremely sensitive red skin so I don't use the whole system every day. I use Aminogenesis really really clean cleanser and the aminogenesis lotion with the equate repairing lotion everyday. I do not use it on my cheeks since they are dry with no acne. Twice a week I use the equate cleanser. I have stopped using the toner cause it makes my skin too irritated and dry. My skin is clear and smooth and all my blackheads are gone! If the whole system is too irritating for you than just try part of it and find what works. They also sell each item separately if you don't need the whole kit. Highly recommended.

Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes

After using phycisians formula organic wear for 2 years I tried this mascara and love it. The Tarte mascara makes my lashes so lush with out flaking or uncurling like the organic wear did. This mascara really is worth the price especially if you want the look of falsies without having to wear them. Also this mascara has not irritated my eyes or skin like some do. I highly recommend this if you can afford it. Update: This has made my lashes grow longer and they do not fall out when removing mascara. Wish the price would come down. Love it.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - AminoGenesis Really Really Clean Facial Cleanser

I just purchased my second bottle after 6 months. This is the best gel cleanser to remove all of your makeup without scrubbing or making my skin dry. I use this and the facial repair lotion with great results. My skin is very sensitive and red and the aminogenesis products solved those issues. Aminogenesis has made my skin balanced and healthy. I would recommend this as a daily cleanser to everyone.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - AminoGenesis - therapeutic facial repair

I was using their cocoon lotion and thought I would try this. I love it for my face. It works great morning and night. It is not greasy,firms skin,over time plumps lines,and makes my skin radiant and even. After using this for a month I had a chance to try olay regenerist and realized nothing compares to Aminogenesis. The olay made my skin feel hot like it could not breathe and after 4 days I got breakouts. I will continue to use Aminogenesis as all of their products really work and my skin keeps getting better.

I just used up my first bottle of this and it took 8 months. I have used it as a face and upper body lotion and it truly does improve my skin over time. It smells slightly like citrus when applied but disappears. My skin feels fresh and like it can still breathe. I have very red sensitive skin and this solved all of that. I really noticed when I tried using another lotion and did not get the same results. I will continue to use this and recommend it to anyone struggling with any skin issue. Update: Still love this for face especially. When I had a cold my nose did not get sore at all from tissues when using this lotion. It really does repair skin, it truly works.

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Salon Grafix Citrus Creme Conditioning Cleanser, 12 oz

Please see updates:As a cosmetologist I love trying different hair products. I liked this cleansing cream much better than the L'Oreal evercream cleansing cream. I have fine blonde long hair and the evercream just left it dry and tangled. Plus it made me itch. The salon graphix cleansing cream gave me full body hair that I could run my fingers through without tangles. I do have some tangles when it's wet but I use a tiny amount as a leave in and it combs thru nice. I would recommend this product for people with fine,thin or normal hair. I'm not sure how this would do for thick hair as it does seem to add volume. Update: The Hair One cleanser you can get at sally's leaves my hair softer and less tangled. I use the sweet almond oil and it does not smell as strong as salon graphix. I notice more shine also so I think I'll stick with hair one for now. Update: After months of use and a horrible experience with WEN, it made my scalp hurt terribly after four days I had to take pain killers, I realize there is nothing better than gentle shampoo for your hair type. Powder -Bare Escentuals - Matte Foundation spf 15

I keep coming back to bare minerals for these reasons. #1 looks and feels natural. #2 no reactions. #3 does not settle in lines and actually smooths lines. #4 build able with out looking cakey.After trying to use other foundations for a year I have come back to bare minerals and realize I will never stray. For reference I have combo very sensitive acne skin. Go to a store that sells it and get a color and formula match. There are 3 formulas now.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Waxelene- The Petroleum Jelly Alternative

I love this stuff. I'm not one to only use organic products but waxelene beats vaseline in moisturizing and improving texture of skin and lips. I also smooth it over eye and lip wrinkles at night and it plumps them! It smells like honey and when i put it on my son's boo boos they heal with no scars. I got it at whole foods for $6 and since you use way less then regular petroleum jelly it lasts forever. I used to have chronic chapped lips even when using Vaseline but with waxelene they are soft and smooth. Update: So I can't use beeswax on my face, it causes pimples. I have also found out I'm allergic to a lot of natural ingredients. I still like this for feet,knees,hands,and elbows. Update: 2012. After allergy test I am not allergic to anything in waxelene. I compared it with Vaseline and this works so much better on chapped lips and skin. I use it on my lips,hands and face with great results. It works for my little one too.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Grapeseed oil

I have used the napa valley naturals food grade grapeseed oil for 3 months. I think it works best as a pre-cleanse to take off heavy makeup and your skin is so smooth and clear after. I tried using it as an everyday moisturizer and it worked for a while as it is not greasy and controls oil but it makes skin feel tighter and after a while cause some acne. It smells good and I really like it for cleansing and as an after sun balm. Update: I have noticed if you use this on spider veins it makes them fade.

Lotions/ Creams -Cerave - Moisturizing Cream

Great moisturizer for problem skin. I have used it under makeup and it gives a matte finish while giving moisture. I have also used it on my husbands feet and it and it is a great moisturizer for all over with no added fragrance. excellent product. Update: still love this cream. I have tried other creams throughout the year and notice cerave makes my skin soft and hydrated. It is great if you live in a dry climate.
