Shave Products -Aveeno - Positively Smooth Shave Gel

Great shave gel. The smell is very mild, which is good because I have sensitive skin and tend to get bumps from shaving. This product definitely reduced the amount of bumps from shaving and gives me a really close shave too.
Self Tanners -Jergens - Jergens Natural Glow Firming
srider324 7/21/2011 3:48:00 PM
I have found my HG daily moisturizer. I have been using self tanners/gradual tanners for a while and have never been happy with results I was getting. They were either too orangey or streaky, smelled horrible or didn't moisturize at all. Picked this product up a while ago and have been buying it ever since. I love that it goes on easily and gives you a nice glow after a few days of application. I use the medium-tan in the summer because I usually have a bit of a tan anyway. In the winter I switch to the fair to medium. People are always commenting on how tan I am. I have had a baby and have a few little (barely noticeable) stretch marks on my tummy, but after a few applications you can hardly see them. I find that it does have some firming/toning affects as well. The backs of my thighs have improved in appearance and I am definitely more comfortable in a bikini because of this product. Only downside is that the bottle is too small and it runs out too quickly. I also wish that it came in a more convenient pump bottle so that I didn't have to keep picking up the bottle when I am applying to different parts of my body.
This shampoo is really great!!! I tried this stuff a long time ago when I was using it it conjuction with the Humectress conditioner. I couldn't remember if I loved it or not so I bought a large bottle of this at Costco after reading all the great reviews. I am not dissapointed. My hair was in pretty bad shape and this has helped tremendously in bringing it back to life. It actually does what I want it to now. I haven't had as much poofing and frizzing as I used to and I find that it is much more manageable. I also really love the pump bottle. I just leave it on my shower floor and it's so easy to dispense. I will definitely buy again, but not for a while since my bottle should last quite a long time :)
Love this stuff. This is the only body moisturizer I will use. I started using this product on whim about a year ago when I was searching for a new hand lotion to keep on my desk at work. I liked the pump on the bottle and the fact it was cheap and came in a big bottle so I bought it. I loved what it was doing for my hands so I purchased another bottle for home to use after I got out of the shower. Suave cocoa butter works wonders on my skin. It keeps it smooth and moisturized all day and doesn't irritate my skin as some moisturizers do. I also use this after shaving to prevent bumps and razor irritation, especially around my bikini area. Somehow it does give your skin a gentle glow (as one reviewer noted). I will continue using this as long as Suave continues to make it. A great moisturizer that isn't greasy, yet not watery either. Love it!!!!!
Conditioner -L'Oreal - Nutri Gloss for medium to long hair thats damaged
srider324 11/10/2007 4:05:00 PM
This conditioner works pretty good on my long partially damaged hair. It's not a great product and I wouldn't say that it repairs damaged hair, but its fine for an everyday conditioner. It is, as many reviewers have noted, a bit on the runny side. I prefer thick conditioners that I can apply in the shower without having it run out of my palm before I can put it on my head. That being said, I probably won't buy this again, but it was worth a try at such a low price.
I use this product on towel dried hair then I comb it through and blow dry. Leaves my hair silky and shiny while protecting it from heat damage at the same time. I have generally been happy with most of Nexxus products.
Thought this would give my limp hair a little boost and considering that I love the Aussie Deeeeep so much I thought it would be an equal like. However, this product did nothing but dry out my already dried hair. Unfortunately I bought a huge bottle of it because that was the only way it came. Comes in a pump bottle which is kind of convienent for the shower. I think I will use it once every two weeks as a clarifying shampoo and after that I will stick it in the guest bathroom. Might be okay if you tend to get oily hair.
Bought this product just today along with the All Soft Shampoo. So far I am semi-pleased with the results. My hair feels really soft and is shinier than normal. Will update later after continued use. UPDATE: Okay after a few days of use I am totally in love with this stuff. Both the shampoo and conditioner are saving my poor, poor hair. It has become incredibly soft and shiny. I was on the verge of chopping off my long, mid-back hair because I thought the damage was beyond repair, or at least beyond control. Thank GOD I tried this stuff first. I know it's a little shallow, but I was becoming depressed over the possibility of having to cut my hair. It just takes sooooo long to grow back and I love having long hair...my husband likes it as well. I absolutely love MUA. I have found so many great products through positive reviews and avoided wasting money on the not-so-great products. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...I am one happy camper!!!!! RECENT UPDATE: Okay as much as I loved this stuff I had to stop using it because it was breaking my skin out. Horrible breakouts on my shoulders, neck and face. Not worth having bad skin for. Will have to find something else. Goodbye one lippie :(
Just bought this today due to all the great reviews. Used it tonight along with the All Soft conditioner. Could tell the minute I put it in my hair in the shower that it was going to make it softer, and it sure did.!!!!..I still have some poofy areas that it doesn't completely control. I'm hoping that continued use will improve this. Only giving 4 lippies because I have only used it once. Will update after many uses. I have used this product on and off for about five years or so. It worked okay then as far as keeping my hair healthy, but I don't find a difference in the look and feel of my hair overall now. I have pretty dry and damaged hair that I am trying to nurse back to health after too many highlight and dye jobs. I find Redken All Soft products to work much better for my hair in the condition that it is in, but when it was healthier this product worked better. I might buy it again once my hair becomes healthy again.
Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - MAXIMUM PLUMPING Lip Treatment CLEARLY LOVELY
srider324 4/2/2007 5:13:00 PM
I really love Sally Hansen's line of Maximum Plumping Lip Treatment. I have tried both the Clearly Lovely and the Clearly Adorable( which are similar in color). It's a great lip gloss that isn't sticky and seems to stay on long without having to reapply too often. As far as the plumping goes...well it's not going to give you Angelina Jolie lips, but I do notice a slight swelling when I use it. It also doesn't burn or dry out your lips like other lip plumping glosses. Its tingeling feeling gives your lips the sensation of being bigger. I am not convinced that there is any product on the market, aside from plastic surgery that will make your lips dramatically bigger, so this in my opinion, is the next best thing. Hard to sometimes find...hope they don't discontinue it.
I was searching for a good conditioner that would repair my long overprocessed hair and I finally found one. After reading all the great reviews on this product I decided to try it and I absolutely love it. It makes my hair so soft and I can finally just let it dry naturally and it doesn't get frizzy or dried out looking. I love the bottle and I love that it is so cheap. I would have never of thought of buying Aussie products, but am anxious to try other products by them now. UPDATE: This product seems to stop working as well after a few months of use...had to switch to something else because I wasn't getting the results i was getting before. Fine though since it was so cheap.
I guess I really don't understand all the negative comments on this product. I have been using this product for six years and have found it to keep my skin clear and beautiful. I didn't have severe acne when I began using it, only moderate. I still get the occasional small breakouts, which is going to happen with any product (it's not a miracle product). However, I have found it to be my face cleansing system for life. I recommended this product to my mother who has had problems with acne her entire life and she now buys it regularly and also loves it. I think the key to using this product without severely drying out your skin is to use a good light moisturizer. I use proactiv's spf 15 sunscreen moisturizer over the repairing lotion and it keeps my face from drying out while also protecting it from sun damage. I suggest doing this for anyone who is experiencing really dry skin from this product...you absolutely MUST use a good moisturizer. Also, try not to scrub hard with the cleanser as this tends to irritate the skin and cause the toner to burn a little when applied UPDATE Lately this product has not been as effective as it once was. I am not having severe breakouts just tiny red bumbs on my forehead and blackheads on my chin and cheeks. I am not sure if it is makeup I am using or the olay moisturizer I have been using at night. I am going to try a different product for night use (Oxy 10 Balance Max Strength) and see if this clears up my skin. I have loved proactiv , but it seems as though once your skin gets used to the product it doesn't work as well...bummer :( Removing a lippie SECOND UPDATE: After about 11 years of using this product I am finally going to cancel my membership. Proactiv has been a great skincare system over the years and I still do love many of their products, however there are many new (and less expensive) products out there now that don't require membership and can be bought at your local drugstore. I have actually found that some of them work better. Proactiv also has kiosks at many local malls where I can buy these products if I still find I need them.
