Gels/Soaps -Olay - Winter Retreat Vanilla Indulgence Beauty Bar

Just an overall great product. I always keep a bar of this in my shower. It has never left my skin feeling dry or stripped, nor has it ever left a 'slimey' feeling. I feel just perfectly clean! I do not strictly use JUST this but I've always got it lying around. This soap isn't expensive and it lasts such a long time!

I love this perfume! I am terrible at explaining the 'layers' (so to speak) of a perfume so I'm not even going to attempt to do that! But what I can say is whenever I wear this perfume, I get compliments! I've even had an older man ask me what perfume I was wearing because he liked it. I find that one or two sprays is sufficient enough. It's not too expensive either! I believe i only paid $40 for the larger size bottle. Sadly, my bottle is running out :( I'll most certainly be repurchasing this!
Wow, so far I'm really liking this product! I was a bit skeptical when I saw it in stores. "Whipped Creme" brought back memories of the Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse foundation which I hated! However, my curiously got the best of me and I ended up purchasing this Revlon foundation anyway. I'm glad that I did! In my experience, the foundation looks best applied with either a flat top foundation brush (I used the ELF powder brush) or plain ol' fingers! I, myself, prefer the brush. I dip my brush directly into the foundation and apply it to my face. I only tap the tips of the brush into the foundation. You don't really need much to get a nice medium coverage. On my lazy days, I'll use this foundation. It takes only about a minute or two to apply with my brush and it covers fairly well. I like the fact that it is a semi-matte finish as well. I set mine with a light dusting of MAC Studio Fix powder foundation. I've worn this foundation for about 9 hours at the most. I could tell that I still had foundation on but it certainly didn't look as good as when I put it on in the morning. My skin was looking a little splotchy but it is a great foundation overall. I am not a big fan of the packaging. It does look cute but it's a bit clunky. Overall, I will repurchase this foundation! It's a great new product from the drug store. Better than some high end foundations that I've tried :)
Cleansers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan Cleansing Oil

I didn't actually purchase this product, I just recieved a sample and I can already tell that I do not like this product! I used the sample about 7 times and already I know that it's a no go for me. First off, you're supposed to use the oil on dry skin. That's how I would normally oil cleanse with a combination of castor and jojoba oil but this Josie Maran oil is so thick that it feels like it's hard to move on my face! I feel like I just keep tugging and pulling at my face to get it to spread evenly. After you've massaged into your dry face, you're supposed to get it wet and massage again. Well, I did that and I'm not quite sure what that purpose is. It didn't turn it into a "milky consistency" like I had heard. It really just washed most of it off. Plus, no matter how hard I tried, I could not keep this product out of my mouth and let me tell you, it tastes terrible!! I used my Clarisonic Mia2 after using this to "take off" my makeup and my brush was still covered in foundation! It barely took off anything. I'll stick to my regular castor/jojoba oil mix. That works much better for me and is cheaper too!
WOW!! I am literally OBSESSED with this lotion! This is by far the best that I have ever purchased! I am extremely picky when it comes to lotions. I don't like anything with too much fragrance (as my skin seems to be sensitive to that) and I absolutely loathe the greasy, sticky feeling that accompanies many moisturizers these days. I first tried this lotion from a mini sample inside my Glamour magazine. I am so happy that I did! First off, I really love the original scent! Secondly, it moisturizes so well without the greasy feeling. Just a few moments after rubbing the lotion in, it has already full absorbed. Before finding this Godsend lotion, I would hardly ever moisturize my skin. All of the other lotions that I had seemed too thick, too time consuming, too smelly, etc. Now I actually take the time to put moisturize and I enjoy it. I basically slather my whole body in this (except my face) and my skin feels so ridiculously smooth! Possibly the best part about this lotion is that a huge tube only costs ~$7. I could not be happier :) Everyone needs to go out and try this stuff!! You will certainly not regret it!!
I had been wanting to try something from Origins for quite some time. I had read some great things about Checks and Balances so I picked up a tube from a blog sale. I've got to say though, this isn't my favorite cleanser, but I don't hate it either. I love the way that it lathers up so much and I love the smell also. But I don't like the 'tight' feeling that it leaves me with afterwards. I can't say anything about it's ability to take off makeup since I always take mine off before washing my face. Also, I don't have terrible acne but my skin certainly looks better when I'm using a face wash meant for acne-prone skin. There was a short period of time, maybe about two weeks, where I was only using this cleanser to wash my face and I noticed that I had started to break out more. I don't believe that this cleanser caused the breakouts though; I think it was the fact that I stopped using a medicated wash. Now, I use this face wash almost every day but I use it in conjunction with a medicated wash. Meaning, if I use this product in the morning, I will use a acne wash in the evening or if I use a acne wash in the morning, I will use this in the evening. Overall, it's a nice face wash but it seems too expensive for what it is. If I can ever find a cheap tube off of a blog sale again, I would repurchase, but not for it's normal price.
This is a clear, glue like substance so it's quite hard to slather on your face in a uniform layer. It felt nice a cooling at first. I had (apparently) put a thicker layer on some parts of my face, and a thinner layer on others. After waiting about thirty minutes, my entire face wasn't dry so I just started to peel off the dry parts (I was sick of waiting). This mask will find every single hair you never knew you had and rip it out of your face in the most painful way possible! When I first applied this mask, I was very careful to stay away from my eyebrows, my hairline, and "side burn" type hairs but when I peeled it off, it was still ripping hairs out! The peeling is painful, but almost satisfying. After getting all of the dry parts off, I attempted to scrub off the "still wet" mask with a facial scrub. After drying my face, I noticed that there was still a sticky feeling. I had to wash my face again to get rid of that! I do not like this product! It's hard to apply, it can be difficult to get off, it's painful, and my skin doesn't look any different!
Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Studio Makeup Mist & Set Spray

Not sure what else I could say that others haven't already said. It gets rid of that powdery look. I'm not sure if it makes my makeup stay on any longer though. Yes, it smells terrible. It smells sort of like fake cucumbers. I feel like the spray is too concentrated in one place; it should be more of a fine mist. I usually spray it on my big powder brush and swirl it on my face instead of spraying directly on my face. It's not a bad product if you can get over the smell.
Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
sremmers123 1/3/2012 4:01:00 AM
If you're using anything other than coconut oil to shave, STOP! This is by far thee best product. No razor burn, no in grown hairs. You won't have to worry about the water washing away your shaving cream, and it's moisturizing to boot. Four for you, coconut oil. You go, coconut oil!
This stuff is great. It's the perfect amount of hydration for me. I've got normal to oily skin and this stuff works great for me. I have a whole entire shelf full of lotions (Lancome, Clean and Clear, Weleda, Mario Badescu, etc) but I just keep grabbing for this. Initially, I was using this only as a night moisturizer but recently I've been grabbing for this both morning and night. I love the consistency of it; it's very easy to mix in some SPF in the morning. I rubs in very easy, and seems to sink in quick as well. The only downside for me is the smell. It's a very strong "grandma" type scent, but it goes away quickly so I can't complain too much! This seems like quite the HG product :)
Conditioner -Bumble & Bumble - Seaweed Conditioner
sremmers123 12/25/2011 11:15:00 PM
I bought this because it was buy one, get one free at Target. I wish I hadn't even wasted my money. Right upon application, it felt sticky. My hair didn't feel soft or conditioned whatsoever. It was also a very thin formula. Being as my hair is quite long, I felt like I needed to use a lot of product to cover my hair. When I got out of the shower, it was more difficult than normal to comb my hair (I know, "you're not supposed to comb wet hair"). When my hair dried, it felt frizzier than normal too. It was difficult to run my fingers through. I even felt like there was some sort of film leftover, which I've never experienced before. I've used almost the whole bottle before writing this review. I came to this product on MUA, read all the positive reviews and continued to use this conditioner, just to see if I could find any of the good things people are talking about, but I couldn't.
This foundation is just alright. The coverage is EXTREMELY sheer. I was expecting that when I purchased it, but it's almost as if I'm not wearing anything at all! (The Sephora inside J.C. Penny's doesn't carry this where I live, so I had to purchase online during F&F sale.) I do have a bit of hyperpigmentation. It's nothing major, but this foundation doesn't even cover it. I put on a few layers and I feel like I can still see them peeking through. I do like the fact that this is a water-based foundation; I just wish it was the tiniest bit thicker. I think that this foundation looks a little too dewy for my tastes, so I always make sure to apply powder over the top. I find that this foundation is good for mixing! I feel as though my MAC Studio Fix Fluid is too thick and yellow for me. When I mix it with my MUFE F&B, it works a whole hell of a lot better. All in all, I'd give it a C grade.
Not my favorite concealer, but I have yet to find one that I love. This one does the job. For under eye concealing, I apply the Benefit Stay, Don't Stray primer then I use a blotter paper to soak up any excess moisture. I rub my finger into the pot (Yeah, yeah, it's "unhygienic") then dab it under my eyes. I don't smooth it on, or rub, I just keep dabbing/patting until it's fully blended. After that, I blot again! I immediately set it with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder and call it good. It still creases a little bit but what concealer doesn't? I'm not too worried. I'd say this is a full coverage concealer. I've got terrible dark circles but it covers them well! It wasn't too expensive, and I can tell it's going to last a long time.
Yes, yes, yesss. I love this stuff! I ordered this product off of Hautelook so I got it for an awesome price ($18 for 16oz if I remember correctly). First off, the bottle is effing HUGE. I have a feeling this cleanser is going to last me a year, maybe even longer. With this product, I only need to use the tiniest amount! A pea size and a half is perfect. This is the first non-foaming cleanser that I've tried so it definitely took a bit of getting used to. It's a really smooth consistency. I occasionally use this with a Skinsonic (Clarisonic-type cleansing brush) but I actually like it more when I just use my hands. The smell of this cleanser put me off a bit at first but now I'm used to it, I don't even notice it. I really like the color and sometimes it looks like there are shimmers in the product! I like the fact that there are so few ingredients too. I can pronounce everything in the list. That's one of the reasons I really wanted to try these products. This cleanser really has helped me skin a lot! I was previously using the PTR Beta Hydroxy Acid cleanser, which I loved, but this Mario Badescu cleanser has just stolen my heart. My skin is so smooth, it's ridiculous. Like, my face seriously feels like a baby's butt. I rarely break out now and I feel like it's even helping the blackheads I've got too. The main reason I wanted this cleanser is because of the gentle exfoliation because of the papaya extract. I feel like this is helping my hyperpigmentation a lot! Whenever I get a pimple, I always get a dark spot afterwards. This cleanser is helping to fade those.
Toners -Mario Badescu - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater
sremmers123 10/13/2011 1:09:00 AM
I just received this in the mail from my Hautelook order! I love this stuff. I'm not quite sure of what exactly it does yet, but I love it nonetheless. It just feels so refreshing! I use it after my normal toner and before my regular moisturizer just to give it that added boost of moisture. I will use one or two sprays after makeup application just too ensure I don't look powdery. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the smell but I don't hate it either. It is very rosy but dissipates quickly. I have used it to take some flyaways in my hair a well. It's seems like a nice product and it's not expensive either. EDIT (12/27/2011): I, too, have been noticing a "fishy" scent when using this spray. It doesn't happen every single time I use the spray. Maybe sometimes it just doesn't mix well with other products I've put on my face? I'll have to experiment more to find out. However, the smell isn't bad enough for me to stop using it. If it gets any worse, I will update again.
