The colour looks really pretty but I could not get the product to show up on my lids. I primed and preped but no matter how hard I tried to draw it on nothing would come out on my lids. I tried it on someone else and it didn't work either. I love coloured eye liners but was very disppointed with the results.
It felt really nice on and under powder make up my skin looked as if it was glowing, sadly, it wasn't good at holding my make up, so glowing or not, it didn't last for long and it did nothing for my liquid make up. The worst thing is, after using it consistantly for a few days it started to clog my pores and I ended up getting blackheads on my face. I was sad. I really wanted to like this product!
I got given a bottle free from training. They made the foundation sound amazing and I was really looking forward to trying mine. The colour was great, the coverage was variable so that was fine. What I did not like about this foundation was how the texture didn't glide nicely on my skin and how dry it made it feel. I've tried a lot of foundations and even when they were mattifying ones my skin still felt soft and supple afterwards and strangely, despite the dryness, for a mattifying foundation it was not able to control my oilyness for long. It looks nice on, but doesn't do much for my skin. I prefer foundations that do both.
Liquid -Shiseido - The Makeup Dual Balancing Foundation SPF 17

Leaves my skin nice and soft all day, isn't drying like other foundations and a little does go a long way if you use it properly i.e don't apply a fat glob on your face as it sets quickly. I use mine every day and I build it up to a full coverage and it has lasted me over 6 months... and I'm very sure my face isn't by any means small. If you shake the bottle like it tells you to, the foundation sits nicely at the top so you don't have to stick your fingers in or pour it out and be all messy.
I bought the kit on recommendation by soooo many people that it was this wonderful product. The first problem I occured was when I was told to swirl, tap and buff, the brushes in the kit were either hopeless or the minerals are impossible to swirl up into the brush... I only got the powder after tipping/spilling it all over a tissue . I wanted to like this product but after trying it on my face I just couldn't, it's so unnatural and it looks and feels as if it's bad for my skin... it's drying and you can definitely see it, it doesn't control oil and you get this weird looking glow on your skin that's not very nice. Maybe if you have perfect skin this foundation is fine... but if you have little flaws or blemishes there are better foundations out there. Mineral does not necessarily mean it's good for you.
This tastes yummy. Anyway. This product is too harsh for my cheek area, it burns as soon as it's applied, but it is fine on my t-zone area and it does what it is meant to do and my skin glows afterwards.
I love this. It smells nice. When it drips down your face and accidentally touches your lips it doesn't taste icky and bitter like most shampoos... my hair did use to get a bit knotty afterwards when I had long hair but it was wonderful! I love Lush!
This is so pretty. Expensive but it's Chanel. I love this quad, but my only complaint is that it doesn't look purple on me, which is probably no fault of theirs, just my skin tone I guess...
Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow Mascara Waterproof

This mascara is definitely waterproof, but only after it unexpectedly runs and smudges all around your eyes. I love Dior makeup... but I now hate their mascaras. I can easily get a better mascara with Maybelline.
Lotions/ Creams -Crabtree & Evelyn - Jojoba oil Hand & Cuticle Cream

I bought this along with the hand recovery and I love them! My hands get really dry from stuff I do at work but this nourishes and smooths them immediately'without being all rich and sticky. Even my boyfriend loves it now... have to hide it all the time.
Scrubs -The Body Shop - Africa Spa Body Salt Scrub

It smells very nice and I do feel moisturised after but being a scrub I expected more of a ... well... scrub. Other than that it's a lovely product.
Treatments -Shiseido - Bio-Performance Super Exfoliating Discs

Baby smooth skin after. After I do my face I use the discs on my neck, back of hands and elbows. Smooth! Like having micro dermabrasion but without the costs and can be done at home within a few minutes. Love it! The samples given are very different from the actual products and do not do the product justice! It's worth buying a box to try the real product. It's not that expensive when you realise it's not an everyday thing and you spend more on coffee or tea a week most of the time anyway and that doesn't give you amazing skin.
Eye Makeup Remover -Clarins - Instant Eye Make-up Remover
squeakyfish 5/28/2007 4:20:00 AM
I actually didn't try this product on my eyes. I used it to remove some waterproof eye makeup I'd used on my hand. Even after shaking I found it very oily, it removed all the makeup nearly instantly, however after a few minutes my hand turned white from drying up. I tested with other eye makeup removers and none of them did this. If it dries up my hand like that, I don't even dare to use it around my eye area especially when it's so delicate and needs all the moisture it can get.
Lip Gloss -Elizabeth Arden - High Shine Lipgloss (All)

I got some glosses as an incentive for selling their fragrances and I woke up all excited the next day after I got them because I love make up and new make up is always exciting. My excitement turned into disappointment within seconds. For a while I thought the testers in store were off, but soon realised the smell of the product was just not a nice one. The texture and result reminded me of the Avon glosses I used to buy, except I think I liked the Avon stuff more, overall it looked cheap. Thank goodness it was free or I'd be kicking myself... or rather perhaps that is why they give tonnes of the stuff away.
I have GN306 and it's great. I don't normally use green shadow but it's soooo beautiful! The colours are vivid, long lasting and easy to apply... heck, it even came with an instruction leaflet for make up dummies like me...
