Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - So Gorgeous Volumizing Root Mousse

This product works great, gives loads of volume. However, I seem to be highly allergic to it. It made my usually healthy scalp turn into a mess of little sores and flakes. I am still healing from using this product. I gave it a 4 as far as volume, but obviously would not repurchase
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Mega Shine Top Coat
spyglassweb 10/6/2012 11:15:00 AM
not sure why the reviews are so low on this product. I think it is amazing! I am hard on my nails and my polish lasts for at least 5-7 days. Sometimes I put a second coat on 3 days in to get to the seven days. The shine is OK, not super shiny, but I like the amount of shine I get. The biggest plus is the staying power and also my week nails grow a little longer when using this product. Definitely, worth a try and not very expensive , Also, I am not sure why the other women are having the problem of streaking and messing up their polish. I use a very thick coat and kind of let it glide on, like they do in the salon. I can see it disturbing the polish below if you use a thinner coat where the brush is scraping the polish, but that would happen with any top coat
This product is still listed on their website and does not appear to be discontinued. http://www.roc.com/dermatologic/enydrial/repairing-lip-care
I love this moisturizer! It does not cause breakouts and it has lightened a stubborn brown spot. At first I got very slight tingling , but that has stopped now and my skin appears healthier. One pump is too much, so I have been covering my chest and hands too. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and a lot of products irritate. I am very happy to find a product I can slather on without worrying. I combine with Olay sensitive foaming face wash, Olay micro sculpting cream for night and also a retinol cream for the breakouts. My skin is finally happy!
#50 Coco Fever is a staple for me. Alone it is a pretty neutral that looks polished. Shiny, but not disco, out is work appropriate. Layered over any lipstick, it is stunning. Looks more expensive than it is. Is smooth, and not sticky at all. Is long wearing, for a lip gloss, but I wish it lasted longer. Smells, and tastes great. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but I think it is for the other colors, which I wouldn't like either.
Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Mr. Pumice - Pumi Bar

Works great! I buy at my salon after my pedicure. I also use Alpha Hydrox foot and problem area cream which softens my tough heels beautifully!
Love these! They are very effective at removing eye, and other, makeup. They do not irritate my very sensitive skin - unlike evey other wipe I have tried. They do not break me out, and may even contribute to clearer skin a bit. They do not dry your skin and feel moisurizing. They do leave a bit of a film - which I think bothers some people - I just view it as leaving some moisture. My skin does look better when I use these.
Gels/Soaps -Alaffia - Everyday Shea Moisturizing Body Wash
spyglassweb 8/27/2010 12:04:00 PM
Love this body wash. I was looking for an alternative to The Body Shop shea or coconut body wash, which I love but is pricey compared to how fast I go through it. Dove brand works nice but is full of chemicals. I still like TBS the best, but this is a perfect every day wash. My skin is left soft and smooth and I like all of the scents. I will repurchase at Whole Foods
This is a preliminary review, that I intend to update. I have been using this for 5 days. Because of the good reviews I am going to give this a chance. Day one and two I noticed that my skin felt VERY smooth, with no irritation. Day three, my skin started to get more sensitive. I had to stop using my Olay Microsculpting cream because my face started burning and peeling slightly. I don't usually like to start more than one product at a time, but had to find a moisturizer. I had some Aveeno baby lotion in my cupboard, and that has helped as it is so neutral and soothing. I no longer have irritation or peeling. I have gotten a few breakouts which I was expecting. One big con right now is that my fine lines look WORSE! I don't have problems with wrinkles, but just the beginning of fine lines that were not very noticeable. However, after starting this product my foundation actually started to settle in the lines. I was super surprised and was tempted to stop this product, however because of the good reviews I will give it more time to work. _________________ EDIT 6/30 I have been using this for about 3 weeks now. There haven't been too many changes to my original review. The fine lines look better. You need a good chemical exfoliatior for the morning. I do every other with Clinique Sparkle Skin. Also you need a good sunscreen. I have had success with Olay complete SPF 30 version. I am still breaking out a bit from the ResQ cream, although that has lessened. I have about 3 small pimples. They do leave as fast as they come but are still coming. My skin gets irritated in areas. I am unable to apply to the bridge of my nose and sometimes my cheeks look roughed up. I am still giving this a chance but my skin looks a bit irritated, scaly and broken out. _________________ EDIT 8/10 I have been using this for almost two months now. My skin looks pretty amazing compared to before using the product. Almost no breakouts, very smooth and fine textured. The tone has improved. Only, minimal foundation is necessary. The irritation I experienced at first is gone. I now use a more gentle exfolient and only a couple times a week (Clinique 7 day scrub). I still protect the bridge of my nose by not applying there and using moisturizer. You also need to really watch the amount you apply. A super light coat only is needed or you will get irritated. Sometimes I have my skin just a little damp. That way it spreads better and you can use less. All in all the patience is worth it, I will keep using and will repurchase!! _________________ EDIT 6/13/11 - 1 year after first application I am still using this product regularly. My skin looks great, would not be without it. Now I only have to apply every other night or so to maintain. I have also started to use the 12% AHA souffle, which I will review after I have given it some time. _________________ EDIT 2/25/12 - 1 year, 8 months after first application I am still using this and LOVE it, it is saying something that I have used this for so long as I am usually jumping around to try the next great product. I have only used two tubes this entire time as you need just a little bit. I buy from drugstore.com.
I am so surprised that I like this. It is so moisturizing. My lips feel soft even hours after applying it. I use lip balm all of the time, mostly because I have a small scar on my bottom lip that tends to get dry on its own. I usually use Burt's Bees, honey balm, but my favorite is Weleda. I think that this may work better than both of those brands. I like the lavender and orange of the CP, but the smell and taste of BB and W is better. The CP smells good but be warned that it does not have a sweet taste, it is pure lavender and orange, which can be a tad bit bitter or taste like pine. I don't mind it because I like herbey things.
Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Melt Away Stress Body Lotion
spyglassweb 6/5/2010 1:07:00 AM
I really love this lotion. I feel so relaxed when I use it. Ever since I got it, it has been a nightly ritual to use it before bed. I instantly feel calm and like I can breathe. It is plenty of moisture for me, I will have to see if it is enough during winter, but for spring/summer it is great. Mu skin is not dry though. I love the pump packaging, it is so easy to use. I took off one point because the lotion is not completely natural. I would prefer to use a more natural product, but can't stop using this. Also the bottle is not very attractive, so I keep it in the cupboard. It is very reasonably priced.
I find this to be very middle of the road. The best thing about it is that it washes off super easy. I wear this as my every day mascara to the office. It looks nice and does add some volume after a couple of coats. I like that it is super easy to remove without breaking out my trusty olive oil. For dramatic lashes I use Loreal Voluminous. I have not tried Dior Show, but that will be my next one to try after my others run out. I don't like the orange tube, looks tacky. EDIT: I am increasing the rating from 3 to 4 becuase of the ease of use. I think this is a great product for everyday. It gives me nice looking lashes without clumping or giving a spider look. It looks really natural and gives volume. I have started to use this daily for work. I will use my Voluminous for a special look or going out.
Cleansers -Olay - Regenerist Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths
spyglassweb 5/19/2010 12:50:00 AM
I really don't like these. The texture of the cloth is too rough. These cause me to break out a bit. In addition, they do a poor job of removing eye makeup and the cleanser stings my eyes a bit. Love the idea of these, but not the reality.
This will work to fade brown spots that are light. If you have darker spots, you may want to go to the derm or try another product, as it will take a very long time to see results. Also, this made me break out. I was not able to put all over, because it would clog my pores. I think the area it helped the most was on my eye lids. They have gotten much lighter, where I don't have to put much concealer on them any more. I have also dotted on small places on my face and it has helped. This does not work well under makeup as it balls up, only reccomended at night.. I would only use this all over your face if you have very dry skin and are not prone to blemishes. I am now using Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting cream and have seen the best results in fading brown areas. I still have a couple of smaller areas I am working on and may go to the derm for a prescription or laser treatment. I still dot this product on the areas I want to fade. It takes patience, but does work eventually.
Shampoo -The Body Shop - Honey Moisturizing Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]
spyglassweb 5/2/2010 11:20:00 AM
Smells amazing, works amazing. Love this shampoo!! It is my favorite shampoo of all time. The only drawback is the price. I have to use a good amount of it, so I go through it quickly. I will get a larger bottle next time as I think the results are worth it. -------- EDIT 9/6/10 In the long run this has dried out my hair. I think that this is just a harsh produ t with tons of conditioner mixed in. I hung on because I thought that it could't be the shampoo that was the problem, plus it smells amazing.
