Shampoo -Kerastase - Bain Nutri Thermique
rated 5 of 5

Honestly, this is the best shampoo I have ever used. It makes my frizzy hair softer and more lustrous than any other shampoo out there (and I have tried a lot). It is much better than the "Bain Satin" line from Kerstase. I am just a bit sad that it is so darn expensive. I am looking for another cheaper shampoo to use every other day it so I don't go through my $34 bottle so fast.

Shampoo -Matrix - Biolage - Ultra Hydrating Shampoo

Awesome!! I love this stuff. I have tried everything - usually loyal to Kerastase or Fekkai, but this shampoo is better (and cheaper). It never fails to give produce a luxurious lather, and does not strip your hair. It reduces frizz and smells fabulous! Highly recommend.

It made my hair feel oily and just smelled awful. I actually had to spray perfume on my head just to make it out the door so people at work wouldn't wonder where the stench was coming from. This is the worst smelling hairproduct I have ever used.... it literally smells like dirty sewage!

Conditioner -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Conditioner

Amazing stuff!! I'm so thrilled I found it. I have highlighted blond hair that was dry and crunchy and frizzy. This, combined with the glossing cream, finally made my hair silky and soft... and *completely* frizz free. I have tried EVERYTHING... trust me, nothing works as well as this! It's totally worth the price!

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types
rated 2 of 5

I bought this product from QVC and haven't had the heart to throw it out yet despite poor results. When I put it on my face at night, I wake up and my skin is dry, irritated, and splotchy red. Not moisturized. Do not buy this!

Very goopy and puts giant clumps on my eyelashes. The only positive is the violet color, but in general I wish I hadn't wasted money on this! P.S. the brush is very awkward to handle.

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Persagel 10

I've been to dermatologists for years, and this is still the most effective thing I've found for my acne. It's fairly cheap and of course doesn't require a prescription as it did years ago. The only problem is that it bleaches fabrics so for example I've had to switch to all white pillow cases. It can be drying, so only apply to acne prone or oily areas. But it definitely WORKS!

This stuff is great. It smells good, totally keeps my dry and odorless, and goes on smoothly. It has never abrated my skin. I've been using it for a couple years now and won't switch to anything else.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Moisturizing Body Wash - Sensitive Skin

I really like this product. It claims to be unscented, but actually has a faint, but very pleasant scent. It is very moisturizing and feels very silky to apply. It foams in the shower and is moisturizing. I like it, I just wish it were cheaper.

Eyeliner -Elizabeth Arden - Eye Pencil in Umber
rated 5 of 5

This is the nicest eye pencil I've ever had. I have it in a pretty gray color which is gorgeous. It's very soft and goes on smoothly, not like Clinique which seems kind of hard and hurts a little to put on. It's not cheap, but it's lasting a long time. I really like it.

Gels/Soaps -Dr. Bronner's - Peppermint Castille Soap

This product is very tingling and exhilerating. It feels awesome. The only problem is it can be a bit harsh for sensitive areas. Otherwise I really dig it. Oh, it's also a bit difficult to find it stores, and it ain't cheap!

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 3 of 5
sph188 2/2/2005 1:18:00 PM

I bought this because my dermatologist recommended it for my acne prone skin. I will say that it IS very gentle. The problem is it doesn't really feel like it cleans at all. It doesn't foam, and doesn't begin to remove makeup. I use it in the shower in the morning, after I've removed all my makeup the previous evening with another cleanser. It's fine for that purpose, and it certainly doesn't cause acne.

Shampoo -Aveda - Blue Malva Shampoo & Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
sph188 2/2/2005 1:12:00 PM

This is a cool shampoo, I love the color and the smell of it. It also foams up really well. The problem is that it dried my hair out really badly and made it snarly. I find most Aveda shampoos drying, and this one was no exception. I won't be buying it again.

Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
sph188 2/2/2005 1:07:00 PM

I love this product! I have combination skin that is acne prone, and this seems to help my acne but not dry out the rest of my face. It foams up perfectly, smells wonderfully, and removes all my makeup. It feels very luxurious. The only drawback is the price - I think I paid $20, but it is worth it!

Treatments -Paul Mitchell - Instant Moisture Daily Treatment
rated 5 of 5
sph188 2/2/2005 1:02:00 PM

I've been using Paul Mitchell conditioners for years to deal with my frizzy blonde hair. My hair gets brittle if I use anything else. I switched to this one from the Detangler a few years ago because I wanted more moisture, and this one does the trick better than anything I've tried (and I've tried everything.. high end down to low end). The packaging and smell are boring (though not unpleasant) but the best part is the silky, detangling qualities of this product. Can't live without it!
