Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Sensitive Skin
spaceykatie 5/7/2013 8:25:00 PM
I have been changing cleansers for years, dermatologist prescriptions, high end OTC products, drugstore products, and I can't remember anything working better than this cleanser has worked for me. I use the whole system, this cleanser along with the sensitive skin acne toner and the acne clearing moisturizer. My skin is clear but not dry. When I do have hormonal breakouts this system quickly puts them under control. It works well at removing makeup. Overall I highly recommend this product!

Cleansers -MAC - Cleanse Off Oil
spaceykatie 5/6/2013 11:31:00 PM
I have dry, adult/hormonal acne prone skin, but my skin loves this stuff! I bought this originally intending to only use it to remove eye makeup (I am always wary of using new products on my skin, almost everything I try that deviates from my super gentle cleansing routine causes massive breakouts) but I wound up using this on my whole face to great effect. It does not break me out (so rare), allows me to remove eye makeup without any tugging or pulling at the skin, and takes off every ounce of makeup without leaving any film or residue. I do follow up with my normal cleanser, just in case, but I'm honestly not sure I even really need it. This is the best makeup remover I have ever used! I highly recommend.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Boi-ing
spaceykatie 9/23/2012 3:31:00 PM
I am recently struggling with post-acne hyperpigmentation (really red spots!) so I was looking for something very creamy and opaque. This, unfortunately, really does not cover my spots up. I can barely notice a difference between just using my foundation for coverage and using foundation with this concealer. It does work nicely for brightening under my eyes, but I really don't have much to cover there. If you have some serious redness to get rid of, this probably isn't the product for you.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
spaceykatie 6/27/2012 1:50:00 AM
I have been using this product for years. It is the only facial moisturizer I will use. It is incredibly effective and does not irritate my sensitive skin or my acne. I will never use another moisturizer as long as I live. Truly a holy grail product. If you have sensitive skin in need of intense moisture please don't hesitate to buy this product. It's mirth it and more.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Lemony Flutter
spaceykatie 6/27/2012 1:25:00 AM
This product is a staple of mine. It is a very intense moisturizer I use nightly on my cuticles, elbows, knees, and all over my feet. In a nutshell, my driest areas. It works miracles! If I take a break from it the difference is astronomical, but when I return results are nearly instantaneous. On occasion my lips become very dry or chapped, and my dry skin is so bad that literally no traditional lip balm will help. This is the only thing that will work, but I save it for emergencies because the texture isn't the greatest when globed on the lips! The smell is divine. The bottle seems pricey for being so small but even with nightly use a little goes a very long way so one will last for at least 2 months. Overall this is really a must have!

Treatments -Biore - Pore Cleansing Strips - Nose
spaceykatie 6/27/2012 1:16:00 AM
I have been using these strips since middle school. They really do help keep gunk out when used regularly, but with every use I'd say they only pick up about 80%. If I go without using these for a couple weeks the amount of gunk on the strip is unreal! I apply right after washing and exfoliating my face when it's still sopping wet and then I pat dry with towel. When you remove make sure you pull up from both ends of the strip very slowly, I find if you rip it quickly in one direction less funk from your pores sticks to the paper as it comes off. Overall this is and will continue to be a staple in my beauty regimine.

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Infiniti Pro 1875 AC Motor Dryer
spaceykatie 6/18/2012 3:22:00 PM
I've had this dryer for about a month now. I recently spent 4 months in Italy where the wattage that comes out of the outlets is much higher than in the states, so the hair dryers were all very powerful and got very hot, something I loved. Drying my hair went so fast! When I got back to the states my hair dryer just wasn't adding up so I bought this dryer to try and replicate the dryers in Italy; the motor is supposed to make it extra powerful to speed up drying time. Happily, this dryer does just that! The air speed is powerful enough to cut drying time down. What it doesn't do, though, is get very hot. Overall, though, I am pleased, and so far it is definitely worth the $30 price tag.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 109 Small Contour Brush
spaceykatie 5/29/2009 9:16:00 AM
The best part about this brush is its versatility and precision. I have used this brush to apply foundation (when I need some extra coverage), finishing powder, bronzer (to contour), blush, and highlighter; and it works great for all! The only thing that irkes me is that it's REALLY, REALLY easy for this brush to pick up too much product when you're using it for blush or bronzer; but I've adapted and instead of swiping this brush accross the pan of makeup I use a tapping motion. I still prefer my 187 for foundation though, too. Overall, I would buy this brush if you're looking for a brush to sculpt your face.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Eyeshadow in Electra
spaceykatie 5/16/2009 1:26:00 PM
Wow! I like this e/s so much more than I expected! The formula is smooth with great pigmentation. I usually like neutral eyes, and this is very versitle for adding glamor without making me feel out of my comfort zone. When i want to lighten it up I smoke it out with crystal avalance e/s, and it really brightens up my green/blue eyes. It's also pairable with taupes and browns, which look good even for a day love. overall, I LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 208 Small Angled Brow
spaceykatie 5/11/2009 9:04:00 AM
WOW this brush is great! I purchased this brush to use with my first fluidline gel eyeliner, and even with my extremely unsteady hands that couldn't even get pencil liner right before, this brush lets me apply gel eyeliner flawlessly. The bristles are so short and dense, yet with a fine edge so that it's impossible to be imprecise when using this brush. What's more the brush only cost about 15 dollars, and when i consider that this brush will last me through the rest of my eyelining life, it was COMPLETELY worth it!

Sunscreen -Bare Escentuals - SPF 30 Natural Sunscreen
spaceykatie 4/30/2009 10:20:00 AM
Well, this product sure is a LOT better than a cream suncreen. The best part for me is this blots oil, rather than creating it like traditional sun blocks! This doesn't mess with either the color or the airbrushed effect I work so hard to achieve with my foundation. The one thing is though I percieve the coverage to be light, so this is good to use as an everyday sunscreen that should be reapplied every time you head outdoors, but i really don't think it would be enough coverage to wear as your only form of sunscreen if you are on vacation or doing any sort of serious outdoor activity.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
spaceykatie 4/30/2009 9:51:00 AM
The biggest difference between this and a paddle-style foundation brush is that this one won't streak. That isn't to say though that my 190 always leaves streaks, you just have to be sure to work it in enough. Other than the fact that he 187 is streak-proof, I didn't see any difference between this brush and a traditional foundation brush in terms of coverage or finish (I did stipple with my paddle brushes.) If I had the choice again I'd save the extra money and stick with the 190.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 224 Tapered Blending (Windshield Wiper) Brush
spaceykatie 4/30/2009 9:48:00 AM
This is the best eyeshadow brush ever! Before this brush I was doing my blending with a fluff brush, and let me tell you this is better my leaps and bounds. When I went to the counter I was initially intending to buy the 217 blending brush, but the girl at the counter convinced me that the 224 is more versitle because it's perfect for both getting color in your crease and blending it out. This morning I tried it in conjunction with my 239 shader brush and WOW, my eyeshadow has never looked better, or been easier to apply!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush Duo - Moon River (Grand Duos Coll.)
spaceykatie 4/24/2009 10:40:00 AM
Good god this is gorgeous. I don't mix the colors together when I use it, I use the blush and then the highlight, and I couldn't be more happy with the color. All there really is to say is GORGEOUS!

Misc Beauty Tools -MAC - Brush Cleanser
spaceykatie 4/24/2009 10:35:00 AM
First of all, this is my second brush cleanser. My first was from sephora, and when I didn't have anything to compare it to I thought it was great. After trying MAC though, the difference is staggering. MAC is much more conditioning to the brushes and it takes less product to clean in less time than the sephora version. The fact that the bottle is pour not spray is a little annoying, but I just transferred it into my empty sephora spray bottle and am pleased. Also, the price of MAC's cleanser was cheaper than the sephora version and MAC's also has about 2 more fluid ounces to the bottle. So far, best cleanser I've tried for both value and results!
