Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Blue Brown
rated 4 of 5
soupsake 12/5/2004 1:37:00 PM

the fist time I tried this pigment I hated it... Hated with a capital "H" no less. fastforward about two years... I recieve another sample and try it again... love it! I don't remember what my issue was the first time but I'm glad I gave it a second chance. This pigment has a tendency to appear maroon if used sheerly... a color that can appear very bruise-ish and unflattering... so pack that baby on or layer it over other browns and blues for a stunning combo.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Teal Pigment

fantastic colour... no doubt about that. However it isn't eye safe and when I applied it as a shadow my eye lids positivley hummed in pain after about an hour. It looks so great with Blue Brown but I personally can't do this Teal... remember with non eye safe cosmetics the damaging effects may not be immediate but long term instead... I wish MAC would make this eye safe :( In the meantime I'll sub colours like Tres Teal, Steamy, Surreal, and DeMenthe.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Phuket Bath Bomb

I won't repurchase this. FYI though to those of you in search of it... it's avail. on the UK web site as a LE Holiday item right now. The scent was faint and faded fast, the water was a revolting murkey tea colour, it left a ring on the tub that required cleanser rather than just a rinse, and the bits of petal (jasmine?) clung to everything, bath ring, skin... until you dry off and they are then all over your floor. this one didn't impress me.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Candy Cane Bubble Bar
rated 3 of 5

I was hoping for even more of a peppermint smell but this one is just subtle. Doesn't prudeuce uite the amount of bubbles I normally like but it was good... water turned slightly pink, left no residue in the tub and the smell lingered for about a day.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Honey Bee Bath Bomb
rated 3 of 5

I purchased this because I was led to believe if I enjoyed the scent of "Honey I Washed the Kids" I'd like this too. The honey smell was so weak I wouldn't have known it was there unless I was told... I didn't find it particulary moisturizing but then it wasn't druing either. My husband came in and said it looked as if someone had peed in the bathwater... from that point on I don't think I really enjoyed my soak. This left a pretty bad yellow ring around the tub that had to be scrubbed off with cleanser therefore erasing any lingering scent that might have been left.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Red Rooster soap
rated 4 of 5

Red Rooster is perfect in the mornings. The citrus clove scent wakes me up. The pieces I have purchased have had whole cloves in them and so you have to be careful not to scratch yourself but I did find the cloves to aid in exfoliating the backs of my arms, etc.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Alkmaar Soap

I love this soap. I happened to find it moisturizing and the smell was delicious. The soap is lovely and creamy and the foam feels just decadent. I wish there was a body lotion with the same scent.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Snowcake

I will buy this soap again even though I loathe the glittery confeti chunks in it. From what I understand the glitter hasn't always been there - it's a new addition... I wrote to LUSH to ask them to remove it in future releases. The glitter can scratch and even worse cut. The soap part is lovely and creamy and smells of almond and vanilla... I don't find it moisturizing nor very drying.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Butterball Bath Bomb
rated 5 of 5

I love the butter cookie smell and this does wonders for my dry winter skin. The little chunks of coco butter melt away and do a fine job of moisturizing. This is one of the smaller boms and I think the price is decent for what you get. I buy these by the half dozen I love them so much.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Honey I Washed the Kids soap
rated 4 of 5
soupsake 11/26/2004 7:30:00 AM

I love the soft sweet scent of this soap but to echoe what others have said I find it quite drying. I wish they made a body lotion with a similar scent. I love how creamy the lather is but the honeycomb can be a little aggrevating in that top layer. I'd repurchase because I like the smell while I'm in the shower so much.. but it certainly could be improved upon.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Blue Memory
rated 4 of 5
soupsake 1/7/2004 1:38:00 AM

I'd say leave this one to the fans of cool toned makeup... I can make it work but I'm not crazy about it... I have quite pigmented lips and what this lipglass does when worn alone is to make them appear to have a silvery frost. I now use this primarily over Plum liner... though a touch of it is nice over Viva Glam IV as well.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Clarity
rated 4 of 5
soupsake 1/7/2004 1:35:00 AM

this is the color I always wanted Nico to be. My favorite way to wear this is to apply a base of Clarity and then top with a bit of Nico on the bottom lip. This is a pale mauve lavendar, I see no shimmer either, as other reviewers have pointed out. Nice basic shade for times when you want to play up your eyes. I'm a NC30 blond and this is neutral enough that I think it can be worn by many.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Be Seen
rated 4 of 5
soupsake 1/7/2004 1:32:00 AM

first off... if you have Crystal Beach and Expensive you don't need this too... They are just too similar to justify the need for both unless you are a LE fanatic. The color is a frosty sheer with a hint of pale golden shimmer. I have fairly pigmented lips and so this looks best blended over lipstick or liner rather than on it's own... on me at least. Nice lipglass to dress up colors like Bunny Pink, Groovy Move, Exhuberant, etc.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Expensive lipglass
rated 4 of 5

lovely pale gold that can be worn alone or over so many other colors. If you are a fan of gold but are afraid of warm colors like Lure-X, etc. this may be just what you are looking for. I'm a NC30 and this complements me... primarily I wear it over lip liner, some nice combos are Spice or Plum.

Lipstick -MAC - Frost Lipstick in High Strung
rated 4 of 5
soupsake 1/7/2004 1:20:00 AM

this is a flashy pale muted pink... perfect for the smokey eye look... some may find it hard to wear since it's kind of an odd color... this can be enhanced easily with different liners (my fav being plum) and lipglass (nymphette goes with everything). Sometimes a plain nude lip is not enough but you don't want anything with a lot of color to detract from your eyes... this may be a good solution. Try it before you buy it though would be my rec.
