Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara

What do these beauty editors see that I don't? This mascara has consistently topped lists and awards in beauty magazines but for the life of me I can't understand why (especially since Maybelline has other much better mascaras). This mascara doesn't do anything for my thin lashes except colour it black and weighing it down. I suppose it's great for those girls who already have really long and thick lashes as it enhances them without looking too overkill.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream

I don't usually buy Maybelline products with the exception of their excellent mascaras as their foundations have broken me out in the past. I found their BB cream to be surprisingly good. I was sort of expecting a repackaged tinted moisturiser but it performs better than your average tinted moisturiser in that it covers quite well without looking unnatural. I tend to use it on days when I don't feel like wearing foundation or any other makeup as it makes my skintone more even. It doesn't help much with oil control but then again I wasn't expecting it to. I thought it was a tad expensive for a small-ish tube but I would buy this again if there was a sale!

Concealers -Rimmel - Wake Me Up Concealer

This is without a doubt my HG concealer - it covers well without looking too thick and greasy and most importantly, it doesn't sink into my undereye creases like a lot of other concealers. I usually need to put setting powder after applying liquid concealer or stick concealer- not with this one - and anything that helps cut my makeup routine short is a bonus. The shade I use is Ivory and it has lasted quite a while despite using it more or less daily. I hope they Rimmel doesn't discontinue it!
