Polishes -OPI - Star Ring The Rockettes
somnia 11/25/2006 2:23:00 PM
Color & finish:
A semi-matte, foil-like pink berry micro-glitter
Coverage:
Opaque
I love colors like these, but the finish is just not right for me. Looks cheap and un-flattering (just like Opening night champagne). It photographs shinier than it is, so don't be fooled by the pic.

Polishes -OPI - Music Hall Curtain Call
somnia 11/25/2006 2:18:00 PM
Color & finish:
A medium deep rusty orange with massive gold shimmer.
Coverage:
Opaque
Music hall curtain call is autumn leaves in a polish. It has a nice warm glow in natural light, but transform to bright vibrant orange in brighter (artificial) lights. I only wish it was a smidge deeper in color. Slightly too bright for me, but still gorgeous when in darker settings. I'm going to layer it over black the next time.

somnia 11/25/2006 2:07:00 PM
Color & finish:
A coral-toned prismatic ("holographic") peach micro-glitter with a copper flash.
Coverage:

DS Vintage is a gorgeous, super-flattering and fun color. Down to earth, professional color indoors, and jaw-dropping primatic glitter out in the sun. This is a must-have from the Designer series!

Color & finish:
Medium deep pink-toned red shimmer

I love reds like these! I feel so classy wearing RTTO. Great for tips in the holidays, on toes in the summer or wherever, whenever... Probably not a unique color, but it's my first in the genre. Definately a keeper! :)

Polishes -OPI - Opening Night Champagne
somnia 11/25/2006 1:37:00 PM
Color & finish:
A slightly matte foil-like taupey/peachy/champagne shimmer.
Coverage:
Opaque
I love the color, but the matte-ish finish makes it look kind of cheap. Not even Seche Vite could make it shine. It doesn't flatter my nails at all.

Polishes -OPI - Decades of Shades
somnia 11/25/2006 1:21:00 PM
Color & finish:
Medium chocolate brown creme.
Coverage:
Opaque
A basic brown shade. Nothing special really, but if you like browns, there aren't that many true brown cremes out there. I like it, but wouldn't buy again.

Color & finish: Medium deep blue-based red, very slightly berry-toned

The perfect classic red! Every girl should have a red like this. It really goes with everything. Never over the top bright, never boring or dull. Just perfect, sexy red. (I wish I had a matching lipstick...)

Polishes -OPI - Standing Room Only Silver
somnia 11/25/2006 1:06:00 PM
Color & finish: SRO silver is a prismatic ("holographic") silver micro-glitter.
Coverage: Semi-opaque
Slightly more opaque and grey than OPI Designer series Shimmer (which also has a slight hint of gold). It's mesmerising to look at, and much more wearable than I had thought. The micro-glitter is very fine, not as "in your face" as i.e. China Glaze kaleidoscopes.

Polishes -OPI - Keep off the grass
somnia 8/31/2006 2:40:00 PM
This is a pretty unique color. It's a pale green pastel frost. Not lime green or mint green, but somewhere in between. I'd say it a neutral green. It's actually really flattering for being a green. Keep off the grass is meant to be worn as an opaque green, because one coat will only look streaky. It take two or three coats to make it opaque. This color came in a set with Lazy daisy pink.

Polishes -OPI - Strawberried in the Sand
somnia 8/31/2006 2:34:00 PM
Hot medium coral pink shimmer/frost with a warmer coral base that flashes cool pink. Very bright! Definately a summer color. Goes on a little sheer, it needs three generous coats to be opaque. I tried it on my tips, but it's more of a toe color. I'd recommend it to anyone who's into brights!

Polishes -OPI - Cozu-melted in the Sun
somnia 2/20/2006 4:31:00 PM
Cozu-melted in the sun is a pretty golden pinky peach color with mica micro-glitter. I love how it looks in strong light, but hate how it looks indoors. It's just not sparkly enough! A glossy top coat is a must with this color, or it will look flat and dull. I think I'll like it more in the summer.

Polishes -OPI - La Boheme
somnia 2/20/2006 4:25:00 PM
La Boheme is such a unique color. It's a deep, neutral-toned berry/burgundy thas has both ruby micro-glitter and copper/golden/olive opalescence. I love the color so much, but I only gave it 4 lippies because a) it streaks (3 coats are a minimum), b) it's matte without a top coat and c) it wasn't as sparkly as shown in pictures (it only sparkles in sunlight or strong halogenic lights).

Polishes -OPI - Think its Pink pastel
somnia 2/10/2006 3:35:00 PM
Think it's pink? pastel is a semi-sheer pale pink opalescent lustre with lots of teal frost. Under bright lights (fluorescent, halogenic or sunlight) it's more teal, but in indirect lighting, the opalescence is more prominent. When you have a bit of both lights, there's a beautiful violet shimmer. It's amazing how it changes color when you turn your hands! :) The idea of Think it's pink is to layer it over a plain black creme, such as Black onyx. Unfortunately I don't own any blacks yet, but I've heard it looks like an "electric peacocky" shade! I bet it looks great layered over white, too. I'm going to try it with OPI Desire next.

Polishes -OPI - Berry Tubular
somnia 2/10/2006 3:23:00 PM
Berry tubular is a very sheer iridescent pink shimmer with silver micro-glitter. It's a cool toned, light to medium pink, not quite as berry-toned as the name suggests. Very girly and fun without being too much. The only thing I don't like is the sheerness. It needs at least 3-4 coats to produce the bottle color. I guess you could use it for layering, but I don't see myself using it in that way. I wish it was more opaque.
