Just got this today...so far, I'm loving it. It's definitely not for the light of heart. You gotta expect to make some sort of statement with this bad baby on! As a matter of fact, I think it's really a "hit or miss" with some ppl. I happen to love dark wine lips, and knowing that it's "in" this season doesn't hurt either (not that I'm a slave to the season's trends lol). I saw this on a few other bloggers and it looked so dark and lovely that I just knew that I had to try it for myself! With this type of lipcolor, there really is no room for errors. So with that said, I highly recommend putting it on with a lipbrush to ensure precision. I thought it was black at first sight, but actually it holds a burgundy wine, dry blood reddish tint on my lips. I encourage you to check it out next time you're at your local MAC! What have you got to lose? :)

Treatments (Eye) -Promaxyl - Eyelash Renewal serum Rapidlash
rated 4 of 5
so_fee_ahh 9/26/2010 3:33:00 PM

I have used almost every eyelash growth product out on the market. You named it, I've used it at one point in my life---Enormous Lash, LiLash, Rapidlash, & Latisse. I guess I've been obsessed with acquiring LONGER, thicker eyelashes for the greater part of my life, lol. I would say that Rapidlash does what it claims! It does promote longer eyelashes...however, it does not promote VOLUME (but then again, none of the other products I have mentioned have been extremely successful in that aspect). Latisse DOES THE BEST JOB at giving you the longest eyelashes. HOWEVER----it does more harm than good. I have gotten darker eyelids and hair has actually grown in the inner corner of my eye (where the tear duct is---yucks!) Rapidlash is the 2nd best in terms of giving you the length, but my only beef with Rapidlash is that ONE TUBE does not last you at all!!!!!!!! I finish up my one tube within less than a month? Maybe I've gotten a bad batch but it's just not very practical considering how often I would have to keep purchasing....I might just buy a bottle of this every now and then. FYI, Enormous Lash was THE WORST product out of all. Don't waste your money!

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Gaga
rated 2 of 5
so_fee_ahh 2/17/2010 9:50:00 PM

Ugghhh, I want SOOOO MUCH to like this. So very very very much! I love Lady Gaga, but as much as I wanted this to work---I couldn't. Maybe it's my complexion tone, but it looked like a pasty pink with purple undertone on my lips. On some days, it looks ok...not great, but not bothersome. But for the majority of the time, I *cringe* after I swipe my lips. The first swipe, it doesn't show up on my pigmented lips. The 2nd-3rd swipe, it starts to show up a cool pink with a slightly blue sheen. It's still not BRIGHT enough to be discerned on my lips, so I end up swiping it a total of 5x...only to have my somewhat decent pink color transform into a ghastly PURPLE color. I'm seriously torn with this product. I know I should return it because it's just going to end up lying in my drawer, never to be used again. But on the other given hand, it is limited edition and it's all for a good cause (all sales go to charity)...soooo.....I WILL end up keeping this, most likely, but I'm not sure how I'm going to ever incorporate this into my make-up routine. :/ I see this working on MOST women, so I do recommend that you check this out while it's still available. I just happen to be the unlucky few who can't make this work.

Lipstick -MAC - Saint Germain (amplified creme)
rated 4 of 5
so_fee_ahh 2/14/2010 3:47:00 PM

Ok, so I just UPLOADED a pic of me wearing this lipstick. I'm the one who is in the Gray sweatshirt with the dumb cat eye look(ugh I look so tired though!). I loooove it! I can't believe I did not get this sooner! I think it's because it looks so freakin' intimidating. On me, it looks a lovely fuschia pink with blue undertones. I think this would look great if you have pale skin, but you would only be able to swipe it once or 2x at the most. Any more than that, and it'll look like you were a "blast from the past" from the '80's, haha! In the summer, I would love to ROCK this shade with a tan. So far, this is my favorite lipstick from MAC. (Might I even say it's better than the Viva Glam Gaga that just came out?? We'll see...)

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
rated 2 of 5
so_fee_ahh 11/22/2009 4:48:00 PM

SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT. I have always wanted to try this mascara, but could never justify forking out that much for one little mascara product that I will have to chuck away in a month. (I don't ever keep my mascara any longer than that for sanitary reasons...) So I was finally able to score when the Sephora F&F sale rolled around. I haven't even tried it for more than a week, and I knew I had to RETURN it. It's completely way OVERHYPED, in my opinion. It clumps my lashes together so badly! For something that looks sooo pretty in packaging, how could it NOT deliver in terms of performance?!? I'm really sad that I wasn't part of the lucky gang that could reference this product as being my "HG" mascara. Back to the drawing board....sigh.

Mascara -Tarte - Four Day Stay Lash Stain
rated 1 of 5
so_fee_ahh 10/29/2009 8:00:00 PM

ONE OF THE WORST PRODUCTS I have ever had the unfortunate experience to encounter. It literally does nothing to your lashes. I kept swiping on more and more product, in the hopes that somehow, a miracle would take place before my eyes. But instead, it left my lashes brittle and even broke off 2 lashes! So pissed....thank God I got this when it was considered a "Sephora Beauty Insider" special for only $6. Even then, I feel so angry that it was $6 I could have just very well used on a decent drugstore product. Do yourself a favor, DON'T EVEN BOTHER!!!!!!

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Lilash - Purified Eyelash Stimulator

Omg, turned my eyes BLOODSHOT red. To the point where everyone at work kept asking me if I had been smoking weed. How embarassing! It's so expensive for a product that irritates my eyes so badly. I tried it for 2 weeks (that's the best that I could tolerate before deciding that it was NOT worth the pain and agony). It's too bad because I really had such high expectations for this product, but I guess I will never get to know since I don't think I can withstand another month to truly see any results. *sigh*

Primer/ Corrector -Sephora - Anti-Shine Primer
rated 2 of 5
so_fee_ahh 8/15/2009 7:12:00 PM

I had really high hopes for this product! In the end, it didn't live up to its claim. I used this in the morning prior to my mineral foundation application and it looked absolutely flawless. However, two hours into work already and I come to check myself in the mirror....and lo and behold my face looks so shiny on my cheeks, chin, and forehead!! Plus, it's balling up in little clumps in various areas. Overall, I WAS NOT SATISFIED. I returned it back to Sephora within 3 days. I think I'm just going to stick with my Smashbox primer.

Brows -Revlon - Brow Fantasy in Dark Blonde
rated 5 of 5
so_fee_ahh 4/17/2007 3:55:00 PM

Time and time again, I ALWAYS, ALWAYS come back to this! This has been a lifesaver for me! I have really funky eyebrow hairs that just seem to go every which way they please, so I overpluck (yes, that's my confession there). I use this to fill in my eyebrows and it looks SOOOOO NATURAL. Plus, it matches the color of my hair so it's not off-putting or anything. I hope they never ever ever discontinue this. Really is a HG! Revlon did not miss with this product! =)

Liquid -Maybelline - Superstay Silky foundation ]
rated 2 of 5
so_fee_ahh 3/29/2007 12:15:00 AM

The first couple of uses (about a week or two), it was AMAZING! I got such amazing coverage and it went on so silky smooth, my face felt so cool to the touch. But as you know, all good things must come to an end...this one didn't last that long, haha. First off, the color selection sucks. I got one of the lighter shades but it still went on really orange-y dark, not flattering in the least bit. Not only that, I noticed that it started to break me out horrendously! I started getting pimples around my forehead first, then it started to migrate towards the temples of my head, and then finally it hit my chin. Honestly, it's just not worth it for me to have deal with these daily breakouts so I stopped, and sure enough...as soon as I stopped using this product, my face resumed back to normal. Maybe this product would be beneficial for someone with dryer skin? I don't regret having tried this because it was nice while it lasted. But I'm onto the next thing!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 2 of 5
so_fee_ahh 2/20/2007 4:00:00 PM

I consider myself a mascara aficionado. I've tried plenty in my fair share to discern between a high-rate mascara versus a crappy one. This is one of the ones that does not perform in terms of quality! It does zilch for my lashes! Just bought it, was highly disappointed, and will return it ASAP! I find that Maybelline mascaras are just one of the most awful, low-end drugstore products out there. Honestly, L'Oreal makes much better mascaras. I'm just going to stick with my tried but true mascara regimen of applying Cover Girl Lash Exact in Very Black as a base, then swipe Almay Coat Triple Effect Mascara in Blackest Black on. Gives me the most lash definition and BAM! effect out of every mascara I've tried thus far. Girls, if you can invest in it...get Christian Dior Diorshow mascara. The absolute best! These are the three mascaras that are in high rotation in my makeup bag.

Conditioner -TiGi - Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor
rated 4 of 5
so_fee_ahh 1/27/2007 2:07:00 PM

OMG! This is the cream of the crop in terms of performance and quality! Definitely, definitely my HG!!!!! I have really dry, thin hair and especially now it's the dead of winter...it's been this straw-like mess. But after using this every other day for the first week, it has transformed my hair into a far more manageable and shiny state of being. I'm truly impressed by this product. I just wished I had tried it sooner instead of using other products. I use this in conjunction with the TiGi Dumb Blonde Shampoo and I think it really enhances the over-all performance of this line. I will continue to use this in the meantime just to survive the intolerable, cold, dry, frigid wintry air. I might need a "lighter" product for the summer time. But TRY THIS if you haven't yet, you won't be disappointed.

Styling Products -Kenra - Volume Spray (aerosol)
rated 4 of 5
so_fee_ahh 1/19/2007 1:24:00 PM

I got this as a sample from ULTA. I do have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised with this product. Whenever I see "volume" spray, I freak out because it only means nothing but a big frizzy hair mess for someone with extremely fine, delicate hair like mine. However, this sprays dry to the touch and does give extra oomph! to my hair. My boyfriend seems to love the smell, too, strangely enough. The only thing is when he pats my head, it feels kinda crunchy sometimes. HaHa, but I will repurchase again just because it seems to be the best volume spray I've encountered so far. I do have a feeling that there may be something far better out on the market, though.

Shampoo -TiGi - Catwalk Honey & Oatmeal shampoo
rated 3 of 5
so_fee_ahh 11/29/2006 4:18:00 PM

While I am in love with the soothing smell of this shampoo, the disadvantages certainly outweight any advantages. This really, really makes my hair limp and feel slightly oilier. I have a lot of hair but it's rather fine and my hairstylist says I have "baby fine hair" so maybe that is why. But I definitely would not repurchase this, waste of money.
