I just got this as a sample from bluemercury. My hair feels fine, but the smell is absolutely disgusting. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Gross!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Chox Away soap

I love this smell--chocolate with mint. Refreshing and sweet without being "in your face" the way some chocolate-scented products are. As soaps go, it's pretty pricey, but I think it'll last a long time.

Styling Products -Aveda - Be Curly Curl Enhancer
rated 2 of 5

I wonder if this works better for ladies with tight spiral curls? I have thick, wavy/curly hair, and if I scrunch some product into it and allow it to air-dry, I usually get a nice mermaid look. This cream doesn't do much for me, though. I don't see any more definition to my curls, and it doesn't eliminate frizz very well.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Soft Coeur Massage Bar (The Honeymooner)
rated 3 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 5/3/2009 11:05:00 PM

I love the smell of this massage bar, but my boyfriend absolutely refuses to allow me to give him a hand rub with it because the chocolate pieces freak him out. I've been using it as a moisturizer after shaving my legs, and it has made them very soft. I hope I discover something that smells like this WITHOUT the melty chocolate goo. Any ideas ladies?

I loved this at first, but after awhile it became too sweet and cloying.

Yikes. So drying. I am using it up as body wash, because it was expensive. I like the smell, but I don't want it on my hair!

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Body Lotion
rated 5 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 3/15/2009 10:31:00 PM

In general, I am not a huge fan of B&BW, but this scent is an exception. It's a soft, sweet, delicious vanilla that isn't cloying or in-your-face. I wish it weren't limited edition ... I will have to stock up next Christmas!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Galapagos single
rated 5 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 2/22/2009 8:59:00 PM

I wear NARS single eyeshadows as liner on both my upper and lower lids. Galapagos is a deep, warm brown with gold flecks--a good match with my blue eyes and dark brown hair. It's also not too dark and harsh for my very fair skin. NARS shadows are $22 each, which is not bad at all considering they last forever.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers-Raspberry Splash
rated 5 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 2/11/2009 8:54:00 PM

This product was a pleasant surprise. I don't usually think of Cover Girl as one of the higher-end drugstore brands, but this gloss is great (even though it tastes like watermelon bubble gum, not strawberry!) It's clear, shiny, fun, and cheap! I like it just as much as the L'Oreal and MAC glosses I've tried and will purchase other flavors.

Fragrances -LUSH - American Cream Perfume
rated 1 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 2/11/2009 8:50:00 PM

I purchased this because I love vanilla, but I could not get into it. The smell was a bit too medicinal for my taste, and I didn't enjoy digging out the perfume with my fingernail. I love LUSH but am not a fan of this product.

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Serum
rated 5 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 12/26/2008 4:02:00 PM

I am a big fan of this serum. I have long, thick dark brown hair that dries in waves or loose curls, and this makes it shiny and soft. I like the smell too. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way ... I have only used half the bottle in a year, and I have a lot of hair. I wouldn't put it too near your roots or on your bangs though--they'll get greasy.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 5 of 5

I just got a tin of this for Christmas. It tastes great and feels good on my chapped lips, and of course I love the adorable bee tin. I love Burt's Bees stuff. I just hope they have retained some of their awesome green values since the Clorox buyout.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Lush Lip Squeak
rated 5 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 11/1/2008 10:20:00 PM

I love the smell of this lip balm ... it reminds me of my mother's homemade applesauce! Only time will tell if it moisturizes, but even if it doesn't, I'll wear it under lipstick to soften the look. It's *ridiculously*overpriced, but I suspend my notions of frugality and practicality whenever I treat myself to LUSH goodies. :)

Scrubs -LUSH - Buffy the Backside Slayer
rated 4 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 9/24/2008 9:40:00 PM

In general, I like this product--it's simultaneously exfoliating and moisturizing for those days when I'm too lazy to apply lotion after showering. The smell is strong and kind of earthy-granola-crunchy, but sometimes I'm in the mood for that. I agree with aphroditedear's review and would caution users not to treat Buffy like a shaving cream. I use a plain old men's black Gillette razor and this stuff clogs the blades in no time. Use it after shaving.

Mascara -Maybelline - XXL volume+length microfiber mascara
rated 1 of 5
snugglebunnyjm 9/24/2008 9:33:00 PM

I would give this zero lippies if I could; it's the worst mascara I've ever tried. The two-step volume/length process is pointless and tedious, and my lashes feel crusty and hard. It's also difficult to wash off at night, even with eye makeup remover! I will use this crap up because I am a cheap bum, but I wouldn't recommend it at all. L'Oreal Voluminous and Max Factor are both much better drugstore picks. Edit: My fiancé scored me a few free tubes of Great Lash mascara from some L'Oreal colleagues at a career fair. After that, I felt completely justified in chucking the XXL crap into the trash!
